Breakfast of full English and cooked fresh. None of those awful experiences where they keep food warm under a lamp for an hour. Full choice of cereals, juices, yogurts. Tea-coffee on tap also. Fresh fruit…..You couldn’t ask for more as a start for the day. Double bed was very comfy. Picture on booking dot com shows a superior room bed that is three pillows wide. Ours was just a normal sized bed so you may need to check on that.

We stayed in a superior room. I was quite surprised the superior rooms seemed to be in the basement. Therefore there was only a small window which looked out at grass level. Outside the window were quite a lot of cigarette ends which had clearly been there for a while. It would be obvious to any person cleaning the window they were there but hadn’t been picked up. The room had a jacuzzi bath but we didn’t use it. Looked like it had seen better days and had a few Polyfiller repairs.

When you read these reviews ..you do wonder if it’s true. The hotel reviews are spot on …. 👍 Firstly. A quick response to my email about parking Really it’s no issues . Plenty of space on the road . The reception. ..were friendly informative ..and welcoming …… The room. Was spotless ……all the eq worked ..showers brill …..tea coffee tv etc The bed …mega massive …room for three ha ha The breakfast ladies ,..are just nice The breakfeast ….I love my eggs .. Poached ..if I can get them Rigth …….. Belive me …there were perfect I’ve lived in the Marriott for two yrs Monday to Friday … This grub is of a good quality ..bacon, sausage… eggs ..all local There’s plenty of variety V good coffee machine Cereal for breakfeast ..and pan o chocolate croissant ….that’s if you can get them before the contractors do Only joking but the lads do like thier scoff . It’s a v good location if you want a stroll there’s a few pubs around within a fifteen min stroll Not spoons…head for the tram shed …….( salt beer factory ) Quiz..Tuesday ……free and you can win beer tokens. We sat next to a kind couple who shared their winnings with a free drink Kind souls up north …. In Summary Well I’m going back because I like my full English breakfast ha ha And I like ..nice folks Eric

Dispite reading the good reviews prior to booking at the last minute I was still very pleasantly surprised :) Large room with spa bath. Lovely & warm, large tv with Netflix etc. Decent enough wifi to work by. Even though the room was on the 'lower floor' not a hint of damp - smell or feel ( unlike another large chain hotel previously stayed at). Small bar - decent prices. Friendly staff, when requested an additional duvet it arrived in less than 5 mins - bed too hard for me - my problem, not the bed, it was fine for y partner Very nice breakfast. A very great advantage for me as I work remotely & normal checkout times can make working from my car a necessity. Here I had a late checkout til 5pm - absolutely brilliant. I guess availability for this would depend on how busy they are. Would most definitely stay here again!

Due to the location of the hotel - check google maps first! Parking is ok for cars, could be tricky if had to leave whilst hotel still busy as parking is nose to tail. Partner has a long wheel base van so the carpark wasn't viable for him but he parked for free directly outside on the road - check the parking times! Only works if arrive from 4pm onwards & leave earlish in the morning

The majority of the staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The location was good and the car parking at the back of the hotel, was a bonus. Breakfast used local ingredients and was well prepared.

The property was once, I am guessing, a budget chain hotel and the furniture remains, which is dark and a bit shabby. The shower has been converted to a wetroom but you can’t just take out the shower tray and tile the floor. You then have a wet room, rather than a wetroom. The price was also a bit high really, especially for one person who was then charged an extra £15 for the dog. There should be discretion in this because there was one breakfast not two and only one set of towels to be washed.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good for visiting Saltaire, being about 10 minutes walk. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts, freshly cooked, unlike what you get in larger hotels.

My only complaint was that it was very warm in the bedroom. The radiator was off, yet it was very warm, and this was winter. It was quite mild outside, around 12C in the daytime. We opened the window when we got up and wished we’d done the same during the night. I wonder how warm it is in the summer 🤔

Abbey Lodge, recently refurbished to a high standard, provides clean, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking at the rear, and only a short walk from Saltaire. Highly recommended.

The staff couldn't have been friendlier, or more helpful. Everything was clean, the shower was great, and breakfast was amazing using local proper farm produce. Nothing was too much trouble and many extra things had been thought of. I was able to book a single room, at an appropriately lower price, which is becoming increasingly rare. Definitely recommend.

The parking was a little tight, but included, so not complaining. The building is obviously several properties linked to make the hotel, so stairs steeper than purpose built hotels and layout quirky but given value of room......

The staff were super friendly and chatty, the beds were very comfortable, we had a beautiful view out the front of the well maintained garden and church from our room, which was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was full English and the poached eggs were on point. If your staying in shipley or want to be near saltair this is the place to be, very convenient.

I'm trying my best to think of something but I honestly can't, I have worked in hotels all my whole working life and if the customer service is on point, room's clean and breakfast well cooked, what can you complain about?

The staff were very freindly and extremely helpful with great advice on local attractions and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with locally produced ingredients and well cooked. Our room (twin) was clean and modern with very comfortable beds, the bathroom was compact but clean with a good shower. In short, everything you need for a short stay in Shiipley

It would have been nice to have a "resident's lounge" area with comfortable chairs to relax with a drink from the bar, but that is being really "picky".

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, value for money.

Parking is problematic, they have two rows of car parking spaces but that means that some cars in the second row get blocked in....or as in my case there is a space that cannot be accessed as owners don't want to be blocked in so park blocking the free space behind. Hotel put me in an adjacent space they said they owned, only for me to be called a few hours later telling me that I must move it. The street is full of no parking signs so not easy to park elsewhere.
