Our room was very comfortable, the bed and bedding was also very comfortable. The room was very spacious, with very good facilities. The breakfast provided was perfect with a good choice of cooked food and a buffet of fruit, breads, yogurt, pastries and juice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It is recommended not to drink the tap water from the bathroom, a couple of bottles of water are provided but a larger supply would be better considering. We did have a family meal booked during our stay with guests, there was a delay and we waited for a 45min for the main course but this could have been communicated more efficiently to us at the time. The food was perfect and there was no shortage of it.

Lovely hotel in a great location overlooking the canal in Bude. Ample parking was available across the road from the entrance, but we managed to park out front. Warm Welcome. Nice staff in restaurant and bar, and comfortable, spotlessly clean room. What's not to like. The dinner and breakfast we very good. We would certainly return.

Rather strange person in Falcon Hotel T-Shirt was rather loud in the lobby when we arrived! Couldn't make out who he was, but a bit off-putting. He was gone when we came down for a drink later!

The Hotel was very welcoming as were the staff. I did not realise how big it actually was until i walked around on my last evening. Beautifully furnished with plenty of choice on the menus for both restaurants. Breakfast was very well presented and full of flavour. My go to breakfast was Salmon on a base of fluffy scrambled egg. Very well done.

I had more of a problem with the room. I was in room 16. Situated at the rear of the hotel i paid £706.50. I felt this was very over priced. The room looks out onto walls and the emergency fire exit stairs, but is also situated above the hotel kitchen/s where staff take their breaks outside, so it was at times noisy with no privacy, the room was very warm so the window was open at all times i was there. This should have been detailed at the time of booking, if i had known this i probably would not have booked at the hotel. I therefore would feel that this room should be at a much lower rate, even in July.

Both my wife and myself were very impressed the facilities in particular the choice with your breakfast. I was very pleased with the quality of food both at breakfast and evening meals the choice was wide and good.

We liked the way that the staff looked after us they were very helpful and considerate they made us feel welcome, there was nothing to much trouble for them. We liked the accommodation and the facilities that were available to us, I would not hesitate to recommend to my family and friends what a lovely Hotel the Falcon is we will be visiting again.

Staff always friendly, helpful and efficient. Bedroom was lovely - clean and well decorated and a good size (Deluxe family room) and large bathroom which included walk-in shower and 2 sinks. Hotel beautifully situated on the edge of the canal and adjacent to the sea. Stunning “secret garden” on upper level. Plenty of seating, small bar but again helpful staff. Two eating areas - one more formal dining room, one bar type saloon. Food excellent and reasonably priced. All in all nothing we could criticise.

Honestly don’t think I could find fault. We couldn’t praise the staff enough - attentive, helpful and always someone on hand if needed.

Hotel was just fabulous a gorgeous very large room with a bathroom equally as large, all staff were extremely helpful & polite. This hotel is in a fabulous location as my husband is poorly and can't walk to far, being so close to everything I was comfortable to go for a walk by myself and keep popping back to check on my hubby if he didn't want to go out. The bar meals & breakfast were all delightful. Hotel has a lovely garden room were we sat and enjoyed the peace and quiet. We shall definitely going back in the near future. Keep up the good job.

There was only one thing I could say was there was a Christmas tree on the balcony wich was gorgeous but unfortunately the flashing lights did keep me awake on the first night, although there were very heavy curtains. It not really a dislike, on second & third night I slept like a Log. So it's not really dislike.

This was my first stay at the Falcon Hotel, although I have visited here previously for a drink when staying at their other establishment next door, the Brendon Arms (worth a visit) On arrival, there is limited parking opposite the hotel but additional parking is available across the road in their private car park. I had booked in on line so the check in was very quick and friendly. The lift is adjacent to reception, so no struggling with luggage. I had a single room, which was very comfortable, no view but this was ok, as it was new years eve and only for one night. The bed was large for a single and very comfortable. All the usual tea/coffee sachets etc in the room, and proper shower/soap etc dispensers in the bathroom. Not those usual stupid tiny bottle and impossible to open soap packets! Lovely bar area with loads of seating inside and outside. The bar staff were very attentive and friendly, and served the usual good selection of beers/spirits/crisps etc. Hard to fault the room the staff or the bar area. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but the hotel also offers really good food and I believe a large function room.

Breakfast. Ok, this is sometimes a bone of contention for me. I do appreciate that not all hotels guest houses etc are able to provide buffet style breakfast... I get it. The breakfast was, well average, so basically ticked the boxes but nothing to write home about. The guy on duty was very friendly and informative so no criticism there at all. But, I was almost at the point of leaving after spending half an hour waiting for it to be served. Other guests had also commented on the delay.

The hotel staff are amazing - polite and friendly and helpful andnothing is too much trouble. The room was excellent - well appointed and decorated clean tidy and warm. For dinner we ate in the bar and the food was fantastic- beautifully cooked, excellent quality produce and very generous quantities. Breakfast next morning was fabulous. The English fried breakfast was first class and again top quality produce. With the cereals, fruit juices, teas and coffees and toast and marmalade there was everything you could want. Location is perfect with parking and great views.

It would’ve been nice to have a mini fridge in the room, but that’s being picky! Also being at the front of the hotel there was some noise from the beer garden of the pub next door - not really an issue in the winter, but I can imagine it would be worse in the summer as there would be more drinkers outside, later into the night.

Breakfast faultless Room with good view Ate in for 2 of 5 nights. Excellent though ran out of pork tenderloin on second night.

Smaller room than expected for "luxury room". Loo flush unreliable. No bedside cabinet on one side of double bed. Parking outside not guaranteed. Alternative was some distance away and inconvenient for two 80 year-olds. Only one disabled slot which was permanently reserved for someone called "Bird".
