Excellent staff food was brilliant and cheaper than the burger bar in the town Would recommend the burgers coffee fair Selection of beer good The cleaner was really friendly we never service our room during our stay but she asked if we needed any towels tea etc A proper bath with lots of towels there is a decent shower too with good pressure For a midpriced hotel exceptional

Lovely staff welcomed us at very short notice when we were unable to continue our journey because of the fallen trees in the storm. Comfortable room, at rear of building, so no noise from the busy pub. It was very quiet. Good breakfast and a friendly chat with the lady who served it. Our room (6) had a bath as well as shower and loads of hot water. Convenient for the town. No parking, but public car park a very short distance away was cheap.

Not an issue for us, but the stairs to bedrooms are narrow and steep - unavoidable in such an old, historic building. This might be an issue for less able people.

The property was ideally located and within easy reach of nearby attractions. Holsworthy is a quaint village with a unique character and appeal. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was exceptional. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite.

Only a minor grumble. No parking available on site but car park was only a short walk from the hotel albeit across a busy road and parking was chargeable.

The breakfast was excellent with very good coffee. The owner was lovely and very pleasant. Our young spaniel was also given a lovely welcome despite her nervousness as it was her first trip away.

The stairs were very steep for a person with a knee injury, however this is a lovely listed building so it is not the fault of the management or owner.

The staff were super helpful and super friendly. The room was clean and tidy. The drink selection in the bar was very good, highly recommend the espresso martini and shots menu! The food was AMAZING! We had the fillet steak which came out raw with a volcanic Rock for us to cook ourselves! It was sublime! The Hunters chicken loaded fries were to die for! The cheese burger was beautiful! Even the salad which we order as side to the steak was one of the best salads we have had at any restaurant, packed full of different vegetables! The coleslaw was homemade not shop bought rubbish! It was one of the best meals we have ever eaten!!!

The mattress wasn't very comfortable in fact it was very uncomfortable 😕 when went we out at 4pm to explore the local area, everything was closed apart from the co-op! We didn't have much else to do so we went back to the pub to get sozzled. Good job they had a great selection of drinks and smashing food!

The room was basic but had everything we needed as we were only booked in for one night. The beds were very comfortable and the three of us slept well. Even though our room was above a pub, we were right down the far end so could not hear anything from either the pub or the main road so it was very peaceful. We had an evening meal in the pub (cheeseburger, chicken burger, and bubble and squeak with ham and fried eggs). All meals were extremely nice and would definitely eat there again if in the area. A drawback is the narrow, steep, winding staircase leading upstairs. Bit of a struggle and I did bang my head lol but no damage done. I parked in the Manor car park (across the road) and was very reasonable at £3.50 for 24 hours. I would stay here again.

No one offered us the code for the WiFi and we were not asked if we wanted to book in for breakfast. I know I could have asked but feel this should be offered/asked as standard.

The room included some basic things which so many other hotels or self-catering places forget about, e.g. a hook on the bathroom door, a socket by the bed, and a socket by the desk. These were all delights. But the real bliss was the fan in the room (and a heater tucked away, should the winter heating be insufficient) Very very thoughtful and a big thank you to the team for thinking of that. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was superb, in the heart of a market town (although the town itself seemed to be shut most of the time we were there, which was strange!) but surrounded by simply fabulous countryside.

Nothing really, although it should be noted that the steep and narrow staircase may not be possible for some people. I have arthritis and managed it very slowly.

All the staff were incredibly friendly. Food was good value and tasty. Rooms were clean and well thought out with everything we needed for a nights stay. Will be recommending this place to everyone.

Found no fault with the White Hart at all.

It was clean and the staff were friendly.

The over priced breakfast was a let down. Lack of housekeeping, beds not being remade aswell as the tea not being restocked.

The hotel is full of character. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My pet was well welcome and spoiled! It was very hot and we had bottles of fresh water in the room. As we arrived quite late and tired, we didn't have the energy to stay downstairs for a drink but we were allowed to take our drinks to the room. it is clear to me that the lady who cleans and cooks breakfast loves what she does and the young woman who works in the Pub is very friendly.

The hotel is an old building and one has to consider that you may hear more noises than you would like.
