My stay went well. I was there for work. I was originally given (because I had booked it) a twin attic room, but then changed room without any additional cost because there was no shower. You could only have a bath. I was then given a double bedroom on the ground floor facing the back parking place, which was fine. The furniture of this room, though, did not look as great and new as in some of the pictures shown, but a little bit outdated, not that it was of some importance to me. The bathroom, though, was a proper one with a big shower and fully renovated. The hotel is within 15/20 minutes walking distance to the city centre. There is a bakery around the corner and some places where to eat even though I enjoyed dinner (more than once) at the hotel itself where they offer full menus (starter, main meal, salad, chips or veg plus a dessert) at the price of £24,90. Staff were friendly and answered my requests of information. The train station (where you find a M&S shop) is around the courner, five walking distance and 5 pounds by taxi.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing as apart from cereals and some juices and apart from a full English breakfast, I would have enjoyed something sweet (pancakes, scones or some typical sweet cakes that they make there). I would suggest perhaps to offer the lovely cakes (the lemon one and the cheesecakes) I had for dinner also during breakfast. This would make the difference! I was charged the whole amount of my stay at least 24 hours before my arrival.

The attic room is perfect for a single traveller on a budget who needs a place to stay for only a few days. Staff are very friendly, breakfast is amazing, and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel which makes travelling around Cambridge much easier. It really is within walking distance from the station if you arrive in Cambridge by train.

The attic room wasn't completely dark at night, even with all the curtains closed, since there was a fire exit sign in the room. If you are someone who needs a very dark room in order to sleep soundly, maybe just check in about this beforehand, as I'm sure this is not the case with all rooms.

A lovely hotel. Very good first impression. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The room and bathroom was very clean and had everything required for a comfortable, relaxed stay. Parking and breakfast were included. The food was lovely with a good choice, prepared and served very well with ample servings. Fantastic location, walking distance to the town, restaurants, shops and the Cambridge Junction.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I personally found the stairs a little tricky. That was my own fault and I should have asked for a ground floor room when I booked.

I booked a double which turned out to be an attic room. A little on the small side but everything required was available and sufficient for our short stay. Unfortunately the climb up so many stairs was a problem for my wife who suffers with bad legs. I appreciate there is no lift and should we stay again I would negotiate for a more accessible room. The breakfasts were excellent and all the staff over three mornings polite, friendly and very efficient, as was everyone on reception duty. The hotel location was very convenient for the activities we had planned and being able to park the car safely for three days a real bonus.

The lack of space in the attic 'budget' room and it being very warm which necessitated having the window open thereby introducing a level of traffic noise which made it difficult for a light sleeper.

Cannot fault this hotel - had a lovely overnight stay here. It's well located near the station and on the way into the centre of Cambridge and easy to find. I booked the 'attic room' which is up a couple of steep flights of stairs but I was warned about this. The room was gorgeous - spacious, airy, big bathroom, desk, large bed and storage closet. It was very hot and they had set up 2 fans which made it cool. The WiFi was very fast. At night the room was quiet and dark. Everyone was very friendly and at the reception I was given tips on where to eat in Cambridge and had a great dinner close by. Breakfast was excellent (selection of buffet things, cereals etc, and also you could order hot food). Checkout at 11 meant that it was a pleasant start to the day. Would really recommend this hotel.

Nothing, it was all great.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Immediately on arrival we were welcomed by the reception staff. We had other family members staying at the hotel who were able to meet us in the lounge where tea was available. Our room on the ground floor was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our breakfast was very good with a good selection of juices, fruit and cereal. The cooked breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. Our family members were leaving later in the morning so we were able to sit in the lounge until their taxi arrived. Overall an excellent hotel in every way. We intend to return later in the year and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone visiting Cambridge.

Nothing could be disliked.

stayed in 207 and staff were very welcoming and went the extra distance. hotel handy for city centre and for where I wanted to be. room was fine and clean at the front of hotel. Breakfast was great with pleasant staff and wish I could get those sausages at home.

Sorry to put anything in this category but in the summertime, blackout blinds would have made a massive difference as the existing blinds are flimsy and let light in from 5am which can keep you awake. other than this it was fine and I would have no hesitation returning

the room was very comfortable breakfast was excellent staff were friendly we arrived by train and chose the hotel for its location near the station.

the room was very hot - we opened the windows but the radiators were very hot. apart from that the room was very clean and comfortable. we ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. it was very good, but i wonder whether a more flexible price would attract more customers e.g. a price for one course and two courses as well as the full three courses.

Whilst there was no early check-in process, the staff made sure to clean my assigned room first to allow me to check in a few hours before official first check in time. Table service at breakfast was very efficient and my breakfast arrived very quickly.

It was a very hot weekend and the shower wasn't able to go below body temperature so I had no way of cooking down other than a standing fan. Also, the bathroom floor was not angled towards the shower drain, and there was no splash guard so the shower water ended up pooling in the middle of the floor.

I stayed in one of the single attic rooms. It was very cozy, and I had there everything I needed. My flight was delayed and I arrived close to midnight, but the reception contacted me to confirm that I was still coming and we're in general very helpful.

There was no shower in the bathroom (due to practical reasons, I assume, as the ceiling is slanted), so I made do with a bath every day....I was quite relaxed by the end of the stay
