We had a fantastic welcome from the staff who were polite and professional. The reception area is lovely and welcoming. The outside is also extremely well presented and appealing. The continental breakfast was amazing with an excellent choice. The room was good and ideal for what we wanted. The location is fantastic for the centre of Cambridge. Well done Lensfield hotel!!!!

it is a great location to get to the river, university precinct and shopping. Limited car parking onsite but the is a parking station a couple of block away. Breakfast was available onsite and this was excellent. The staff were helpful ad accommodating. we rebooked the hotel for an extra night as it was so good and gave us an extra day in Cambridge. It was comfortable, clean and the renovated rooms were lovely.

limited parking but that was not the fault of the hotel, there is no more space for parking. The pub (next door) is very noisy for the rooms close to that end of the hotel.

The staff were more than helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. They were lovely and treated us great. The room was perfect and made our stay extra comfortable. We had a dreadful experience with Tas accomodations and the stay at lensfield hotel ensured our holiday was not ruined by their poor customer service. Thank you so much guys 😄

The breakfast was a bit lacklustre and would not recommend but apart from that the stay was amazing.

Great location, very central. The station is a 12 minute walk and the main Cambridge shopping centre is ten minutes from the hotel. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the room was a decent size with a small bathroom.

I was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel. It is an old building and there was some noise of footsteps up and down stairs and from the rooms above, but everything was quiet by 10am. The bathroom was snug. The toilet was fitted very close to the bath. I am 165cm tall, any taller and I would have had to sit side-ways as my knees were up against the side of the bath.

We like the location, liked the breakfast which was a good value for the price, liked the friendly staff.

we booked this hotel through Booking.com and there was a big confusion. Booking.com cancelled my booking 3 days before we were to arrive. I phoned the hotel and they told me to book it again, that they wouldn't reserve it themselves. This didn't make sense to me, and also when I checked with Booking.com they said the Hotel had cancelled our reservation. However upon checking in the Hotel assured me that they had NOT cancelled the reservation. So this turned out very good, but was a bit of a mix up and I am not sure who to blame.

Breakfast was fantastic! It was a continental buffet, where you could eat as much as you wanted, and go back for seconds. Lots of gluten-free options, and they even made me gluten-free toast. Definitely worth £7! The staff were really friendly, too. I was also very happy with my £77 small single room. It was a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be, very comfortable bed, and even a large comfortable bath which was a nice treat at the end of a long working day. Property was well located. It’s a convenient walking distance from the city centre, with easy bus links to the city centre, the train station, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and the University Library. Also there are a good selection of very nice cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The furnishings in the room were a bit worn in places. However, it was fine given that this was a reasonably priced room in a nice and well situated hotel. As in a lot of hotels, there was some noise that you could hear from other rooms nearby. I’d recommend bringing earplugs if, like me, you’re a very light sleeper.

Excellent location, just a short stroll from the Fitzwilliam Museum, and historical city centre. Many restaurants in close proximity to hotel. Cleanliness. Helpful and efficient reception staff. Tea making facilities in room, air conditioning and brightness and generous size of room.

A couple of very small decorative repairs required in room (Venetian blind) and bathroom (bath side). Slightly lumpy pillows. But these were minor observations in the context of what was a very enjoyable holiday overall.

Good location, close to the bus stop, easily walking to the attractions in Cambridge. Spacious quiet room with nice bathroom. Unexpected breakfast original excluding the payment, but really good.

It’s really hard to take any heavy luggage upstairs or downstairs, and no one could help you. Can’t imagine what if those aged people are arranged in the first floor or second floor.

I had originally booked for myself only but I had to add my son to the booking. The hotel upgraded me to a family room with no extra charge and there were two very comfy doble beds. They provide nice complementary breakfast.Staff is very approachable and polite. The hotel has very limited parking but I was lucky enough to have a free space when I arrived. I requested if I could keep the car in the hotel car park for a couple of hours after checking out and they kindly allowed me to do that. I really appreciated it as driving in Cambridge City Centre is quite tricky and it was perfect for us before driving back to Newcastle when we finish at University.

Our bathroom would benefit from a renovation

The room was very comfortable, slept like a log. The hotel itself is very centrally located - a 10 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk (in the opposite direction) into the centre of Cambridge and restaurants etc. The continental breakfast was plentiful and had lots of variety. The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful - asked for more teabags in the room and 5 mins later there was a knock on the door.

Nothing really. The hotel is in a couple of old houses, so the stairs creak (you can do nothing about that) but not an issue. There is no lift, so if you have mobility issues, suggest you ask for a ground floor room
