Excellent value for money, friendly knowledgeable staff and right in the town centre. Parking vouchers can be purchased from reception to park in the street outside at a good price. Breakfast is continental but lots of choice and good quality. The reception staff (Rosie?) couldn’t have been more helpful. This will be my go to hotel when returning to a Cheltenham. Highly recommended.

The bed was very comfy, lovely garden, great location, parking was ok and breakfast was suitable for our needs - not hot option but we knew that and didn't want it - the continental breakfast was spot on for what we wanted with gluten free options. The real difference was that the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Additionally they went over and above for our stay - they went out of their way to do a number of things for our anniversary inc. strawberries, ice bucket, balloons, card and parking which was so lovely, unexpected and really appreciated - thank you!

Nothing - we were there just for a weekend of pottering and all was very nice, clean and comfortable. Forced to pick I would say that the shower/shower room whilst good was a little on the small side, but that is an old building and really wasn't an issue and don't be last down to breakfast as some of the items ran out but really our stay was fab and the staff were great.

Great central location to attend Theatre yet The Abbey is situated in a nice Quiet area. The Abbey staff very helpfully sorts the Permit Parking on customers behalf at a very reasonable price of £5 per 24 hours - bargain. Staff really pleasant. Kindly touches - loaned umbrella as pouring rain & later helped out by finding crockery for a midnight feast . Bed comfy & room clean. Radiators individually controllable so we were able to turn on for a short burst of heat when we arrived chilly & turn rad off an hour later . Breakfast lady lovely as we only had cereals & cuppa she let us have apple & cheese for a snack. All very nice. We will be back .

There was nothing wrong - nothing we did not like

Location was superb for us as we were attending the nearby Cricket Festival at Cheltenham College. Breakfast was fine {lovely room, helpful staff, clean environment} but the water for the tea and coffee was not hot enough, and we missed having cooked eggs in some form. Our bedroom was wonderfully quiet, and the bed very comfortable, but the bathroom area was very snug for washing / showering in. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff, especially Alina and Takwa, who assisted us with our parking needs and endlessly filled our cold water bottles! Thanks - we will be back.

The location was great, close to the High Street with shops and cafes. The Staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Good breakfast - tea, coffee, toasts, cheese, ham, yogurt, croissant. We also liked tea and cookies in the room.

We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. Children had a cot, which was not really comfortable. At the breakfast we did not have a possibility to sit together, as all tables were small just for 2. So, we had breakfast at different tables. It was not a big problem for us, but it would be good to have a table where a family of 4 can have breakfast.

So close to everything. Very local, quiet and car parking near by. Clean and tidy. Staff were lovely, very accommodating- as we had a lot of luggage we were given the ground floor room. It was really great.

The bathroom in the room, had see-through glass door. We travelled as friends and you could see straight in. So privacy in those regards were low. The bathroom was quite small and the shower could’ve been a squeeze if you were slightly large. The second thing - breakfast included is great. Told it was a continental breakfast. There was mostly cereal, 2 kinds of pastries and 1 section of ham and 1 section of cheese. Throughout your breakfast you were watched by a staff member, which was a little uncomfortable as the space was not the biggest. If I had to pay extra for the breakfast I would have been very disappointed. In my opinion, these are the only 2 issues.

The team were welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative. The location was excellent; a ten to fifteen minute walk to all the places we wanted to go in Cheltenham centre. The breakfast room is light and airy and opens out onto a pleasant garden. Ideal in the summer.

We booked a superior double, which contained a very large bed. The bed was also exceptionally high as well as being wide. So much so, we changed rooms so we could actually get in and out, safely. Short people should avoid room six! The alternative room was not a superior and the bathroom and shower were very restrictive. The shower pressure was just adequate and it was impossible to direct the flow where it was required.

The hotel is in great location - just a few minutes walk away from the high street. Everything is walking distance. The room was super spacious considering the price, and the bed was also big and comfortable. Everything seemed spotlessly cleaned. I also liked the eco friendly toiletries. Breakfast room overlooks a garden, which is a very peaceful sight while preparing for the day. Breakfast is continental (so no hot food), but provided all the necessary items - yogurts, pastries, fruit, ham and cheese, and good selection of breakfast cereals. The staff was super helpful with taxi arrangements and even arranging a post-office parcel shipment for me.

You have to bear in mind this is not a big fancy hotel with all the shiny facilities, but it was perfect and cost-sensible for my one-night stay in the town. I would have loved to have a bath in the room rather than just a shower and my room window had no view, but again, this is a town-house and probably not much that can be done about this. I couldn't find a phone in the room to call reception, but again not that big a deal.

Everything was excellent - the best value for money on any hotel I have stayed at in the UK. All staff were extremely friendly and chatty, the room was very quaint and had great character, my room had an ensuite which had everything you need, although it did take me a few minutes to work out how the shower operated. Location is very central, right by the Montpellier district and town centre. Breakfast was superb - a great variety to choose from, given that it was a continental buffet. They also had a really cool toaster ;-)

Everything was perfect! For disabled clients, I'm not sure if I noticed a lift, but for me that wasn't a problem.

We liked the very friendly and helpful staff, the location of the hotel and the room itself

our only minor quibble was that the shower was very small, which we appreciate is not something that could easily be remedied, but it did the job and everything was scrupulously clean. Parking is on-street in a busy town centre location - we were a bit lucky to find parking spots close to the hotel but it might otherwise have been tricky.
