Was greeted by a very friendly lady who signed me in and took me to my room, which was very homely. The guest house is also not far from the town centre (An approximately 10 minute walk to the centre of town), so it was very convenient. Room was clean and regularly made up daily. Breakfast had a nice selection of pastries, cereals, bread for toast, jams, ham, cheese and yoghurts. You have the feeling when you visit a B&B or a Guest House, you are treated like a person rather than a number. The guest house also provides a list of eateries in the area recommended by them!

WiFi was a bit choppy at times, but was sorted by the same friendly lady who greeted me. Breakfast is of the Continental type, so if you’re looking for a Full English, you’re going to be disappointed. However, I found the breakfast to fine and adequate for my needs.

The staff was phenomenal! We arrived very late but someone was up to greet us and when we left before breakfast officially was served, the host prepared it an hour earlier. Also, the location is within walking distance of town so we didn't need a car and there is a very lovely park right behind the B&B.

The shower was on the small side, but we are bigger than most people.

Where do we start! As soon as the door opened we were met with the friendliest face - the owner Adrian who gave us the biggest welcome and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was outstanding, quality good, cooked perfectly and generous helpings, and a bottomless pit of hot filter coffee. The Abbey is perfectly situated for visitors to Cheltenham, literally around the corner from the quiet street where the Abbey is and you are in Cheltenham town centre.

The only thing we didn’t like about our stay in the Abbey was leaving on the Monday morning, we wanted to stay.

The property was darling, with each of the rooms having a theme. The place was so clean and quiet. The location was perfect for us since we were walking everywhere. We were able to walk just 5 minutes to get to the downtown area for shopping, bus stops, eateries, etc. The breakfast room was set up really nicely, and were served by the kindest woman. The offerings were traditional and everything was delicious! The Abbey was great and we will definitely book a stay again!

The only thing I didn't know was that we were expected to check in at 2:30 or 3:00 pm. We arrived around 5:00 pm (due to personal circumstances), and were greeted by our host who made it clear he was waiting for us specifically. I felt so bad. I thought it would be like a hotel where we could check in whenever. It's not really the Abbey's fault or something I didn't like about them, but I would suggest that the check in time is listed as an expectation so guests don't feel like they've held up the host from the rest of his evening.

the place was perfect and Yasmin was wonderfully accommodating and welcoming

Adrien the receptionist was extremely rude and did not check their website (booking.com)for specificities of the properties policies. I suggest in the future you need to tell your customers that you must pre book in your pet otherwise you will threaten a charge. You cannot simply write “charges may apply” and not specify what a customer needs to do to not be charged. Also please check which customer is bringing a pet and do not message someone without a pet threatening a charge on checkout that is extremely unprofessional.

The staff were so friendly and helpful on every level. The room was good with a very comfortable bed and space. The location was perfect for my needs and Adrian sorted out parking permits, extending it on my last day so I didn’t have to lift a finger. Finding parking nearby was fine for me just a little walk round the corner although parking right outside if a traveller has a lot of bags or heavy luggage may be tricky for some as it’s a busy area.

The only issue I experienced was poor water flow on a couple of my showers whilst other guests were likely showering as well, but to be honest, with everything else so good, it was a small detail and a little timing fixes the issue!

Welcoming, comfortable, quiet, and generous help-yourself fruit salad at breakfast. Adrian and his assistant Yasmine were efficient and helpful, friendly but not intrusive, and Yasmine was really supportive about a personal matter I raised. The special requests I made in my booking were all met without any fuss.

The heavy fire door to the bedroom, on a very tight spring so it was hard to pull open. If there had been a fire I would have had difficulty getting out quickly as the only way I could do it was by getting it open a bit than easing my fingers around it and pushing rather than pulling. I do not have a disability but I’m elderly. The Fire Depts that set these standards should consider older people!

Great info ahead of the trip, and check-in was a smooth process. Central location makes exploring Cheltenham easy and plenty of parking nearby. Breakfast was continental rather than hot which we would have preferred but this is stated in the booking so not a complaint. There was plenty of choice so you won't be hungry!

The bed in room 7 was quite small - I'm not sure if this is the same in all rooms (and I am 6' 4" and 100kg) but myself and my partner struggled to get comfortable.

The owners Sophie and Greg were so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, delicious fresh fruit and locally sourced produce for English breakfast. Everything was very clean, fresh crisp bedding, spotless bathroom, gleaming glasses and cutlery. Sophie was so helpful with information about public transport. The hotel is in a perfect central location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and parks. I highly recommend this gem of a hotel, it made our holiday more relaxing knowing that we were in a safe, comfortable and homely place where the owners clearly take a real pride in their business and care for their customers.

Everything was perfect.

friendly greeting for check in and the room was tastefully decorated. The shower in my room was very powerful and the products available for use are of a good quality. The location is wonderful and you are a 2 minute walk from the high st but it was still quiet through the night. I was extremely impressed with how clean everything was and I was overall, very happy with my stay.

The bed was a little hard but that suits some people. Very difficult to find anything bad about my stay!
