Lovely location, clean comfortable room with tea, coffee etc in the room, plus use of a shared kitchen with a fridge and all you need, as well as a lounge if you wanted it, so you could make yourself at home. There are only a few rooms, so we didn't actually meet any other guests. Lovely comfortable bed and fab shower in the en suite. Good communication from hosts. I liked that they left milk for our arrival, and gave good information for parking close to No 8.

Nothing I did not like

Self catering - ample milk, tea and coffee etc. provided. I used the fridge to store my own food which I cooked for one meal. Dishwasher and washing machine also provided. Tea and coffee facility in bedrooms. Great communication from host, I felt very well looked after. Easy walking distance to all of the attractions of Chepstow (except racecourse!) But the River Wye, Chepstow castle, railway station and central Chepstow are all within a few minutes walk. Have booked a return visit.

Sounds nit-picking, but it is an older property, so the stairs are steep. Parking on the street outside the property is time limited, though there is an inexpensive car park a couple of hundred yards away.

Lovely bnb in a good central location. Clear instructions for check-in. Large comfy bed. Kitchen to make tea and coffee and lovely having fresh milk

We didn’t realise when we booked that the Whisky room’s bathroom was separate across the landing with a keypad for entry. Maybe this detail was in the description and we missed it? A socket beside a mirror in the room would be useful.

This is a charming little house with thoughtful design and suitable to our needs. The photos are exactly on point, it is even nicer in person. We enjoyed coffee in the the backyard very much, as well as use of the kitchen (and washing machine!)

We stayed in the Rum Room and, while it was very nice, we could have use an additional surface to leave stuff both in the bathroom and in the room. A couple of narrow benches or shelves could be convenient while still leaving space to pass through. I must say, it didn't detract from all the positives!

comfortable bed, very good kitchen facilities, good sitting room (we didn’t use it but it looked lovely). Very friendly and helpful host.

the stairs too steep for elderly people, particularly on the upper floor. would prefer proper cups in the room rather than paper cups (minor detail). however, this wouldn’t be a problem for more agile or younger guests. suggest putting the wifi code and name of provider in each room in particular for second floor.

Great location, lovely lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. Nice and clean. Host was very communicative and made the check in experience easy.

Unfortunately we were kept awake by the people staying upstairs as every time they moved the floorboards creaked very loudly. I suppose this is hard to prevent in an old building but it was rather loud unfortunately

Very easy check in all instructions provided. Great room, comfy bed. Bathroom had plenty of space across the hallway but it's really not an issue. Kitchen facilities were spot on with use of patio table and chairs in the garden.

We loved everything. Ideal for a few nights away.

The property was well advertised and therefore we know what to expect. It was very clean, well managed and with great communication from Craig and Vicki. Good stay - many thanks.

All good in general. We needed to be up promptly in the morning and that was just as well since the traffic became busy early on.

Thank you very much ! We found everything that you would want/need while being away from home. We have to mention, Craig’s attention to detail was very much appreciated, including the restaurants recomendations. We definitely would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Nothing to mention

Great location & convenient parking. Neat, clean, tidy & comfortable. Tastefully decorated. Well organised & co-ordinated by hosts. Personable notes of restaurants & area info and recycling & tidying up instructions made simple.

A little more storage / shelf space in the room could be helpful. Although nice shelf in the shower, which is often lacking.
