Beautiful views, great facilities and staff. Cake and coffee on arrival was a great touch!

The only negative thing was the portion size at breakfast. The food was beautiful, but as a family, we have big appetites and one sausage, one piece of bacon and half a slice of black pudding on the full English didn't touch the sides!!

The staff were excellent! Nathan in particular!! The food was very good and again the staff were very attentitive but never 'intruding'. The lamb shanks dinner we had was probably the best we've ever had. The variety of breakfasts, their quality and the willingness of staff to go that 'extra mile' made it a most enjoyable experience. The pool was used by us and thoroughly enjoyed. The toiletries provided were of a high standard and very much appreciated. In fact we have since contacted the company and purchased some.

I suspect that like many such businesses there has been a considerable impact from the so-called pandemic and its many inappropriate responses which are now gradually coming to light. So, the observation that some TLC could be necessary in some areas is, for us, considerably tempered by the knowledge of the conditions imposed upon a wide range of businesses that so clearly undermined their future viability.

This place is a real hidden gem. Such good value for money. Our room was super spacious and everything was very clean and fresh looking. The bathroom was huge with a separate free standing bath and good size walk in shower. It was toastey warm but not too hot. The food in the restaurant was great and the spa was a little bonus with a nice sauna, heated pool and outside hot tub! We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff were all very lovely. The pre-arrival information was very informative and they had a lot of local walks from the hotel. Great place.

I wouldn't stay here if you wanted a luxury spa - there are time slots that restrict the availability of the spa area for hotel guests and it is a bit small. This didn't bother us. We would have been very satisfied with the hotel even without the spa so it was an added bonus for us - the sauna and hot tub were lovely after a day in the rain in the mountains.

We had a small apartment with a small kitchen which gave us quite a lot of space but we still had breakfast at the hotel and could use the facilities. It was very dog friendly also with a nice lawn area. There was an excellent gym and the swimming pool was good for a morning swim before breakfast.

All was good. People should be aware though that the car park gets extremely busy at certain times of the day due to children being brought for lessons.Also guests can only use the pool at limited times due to said lessons. This didnt detract from our stay at all as I could swim at a time I would have chosen anyway and we managed to park ok

Embleton Hall Hotel & Apartments offered a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed the evening meal as well as breakfast. A good choice of food was offered. A free cup of coffee/tea and a piece of cake on arrival was a nice touch. Good parking available. The double room was adequate but was on the small side especially the bathroom. Our friends stayed in the Grassmere 1-Bedroom apartment, which was more spacious and fully equipped.

The Swimming-pool/Spa area, Sauna and outside Whirlpool are in desperate need of a deep clean! We would not use it again unless it was cleaner!

Everything was just perfect. This was my first solo trip and I was more than a little apprehensive. But the Staff were so friendly and put me at ease - I most definitely will go back again. I loved the atmosphere in the Hotel; the decor and the ability to use the pool . Breakfast was also just what was needed. One of the reasons I choose to stay here was that it was in quite a central location and there was lots to see in the surrounding area. Well done to all at Embleton. Thank you for a lovely few days.

There was nothing to dislike in my opinion.

We had a wonderful stay at Embleton Spa Hotel, the staff are super friendly and loved our cockapoo Arthur. They made is feel right at home and the food was incredible too. The views from the restaurant were amazing too. The swimming pool and gym were great, particularly on a rainy afternoon in the lakes. We were upgraded to an amazing apartment which had a lovely lounge space to relax in. The fridge was great place to store our hiking snacks and dog food too! We will definitely be returning and can't recommend Embleton highly enough, especially if you are a dog owner looking for a very dog friendly place to stay.

We were given a lovely room with great views. Greeted with complementary cuppa and cake on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful on all encounters. Very good spacious room which would of been ideal for a longer stay. Very good full English in morning with above average ingredients. Spa facilities were good too. Pool a nice temperature. We also used the external hot tub and the sauna. I would return without hesitation and recommend this hotel.

Everything! The location was perfect for exploring the Western Lakes. Within just a few miles we were able to visit Wordsworth’s home, go to the zoo and take a pony trek into the hills. The main thing to recommend about this hotel was the food. It was incredible!!! We are there every night of our four day stay and each meal was better than the one before. As big foodies this was a remarkable gem to discover. Such care was taken over every aspect. Breakfast was also fantastic and the atmosphere of the bar/restaurant was so warm that we felt we were at home. Id add that the apartment was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in as a family. The beds were so good and the living area meant we could relax together. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be going back soon!

This used to be a farm and the characteristics are still there. Nice views, lovely welcoming staff and it is dog friendly with a lawn available to use to play and exercise dogs. Pool and gym small but adequate and very nice to keep up with fitness. Perfect location for exploring the area. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Shower was powerful. Breakfast and evening meals amazing and we really appreciated the special requests (vegan, gluten free) to be honoured without issues. Interesting and creative Korean style twists on dishes..

The hotel needs a little tlc here and there. Our bed was not very comfortable and the bedroom area (we had an apartment) was hot, no window in bedroom area. Too many mirrors. Noise from road (A66) but that’s not the hotel’s fault and was not an issue during the night.
