It was great value for money as a budget option. The room was very clean, everything worked well and the staff were all very friendly and professional.

Terrific staff and management. The Raven held a parcel for me for one month until I could pick it up. They also found a wallet I lost in their restaurant and returned it with all the money in it. I had another mishap that involved accidentally stepping in tar at a gas station in Corby. I tracked it all over the hotel carpets completely unaware. When I realized what had happened I was aghast with embarrassment and concern for the housekeepers who had to scrub it out. But both the housekeepers and management were incredibly gracious about the incident for which I was very grateful.

The room was superb , good size, well decorated in modern colours, plenty of space around the king size bed and a great wet room styled ensuite with a walk in shower. The fittings in the ensuite were all first class and quality products and really spacious. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a large flat screen TV on the wall. The venue itself is a large pub with dining facilities both indoor and outdoor with a large rear outside space. and offers accommodation with multiple rooms downstairs and upstairs. The pub is not a town centre ' rowdy ' type attracting youngsters so even on a Saturday Bank Holiday weekend it was reasonably quiet with mainly diners in the pub areas and certainly no late licence to risk annoying residents. We decided to eat on the premises and there was a varied reasonably priced menu with 2 for 1 offers and the food was excellent. I cannot understand some of the mediocre food reviews for this site unless they have their own ' agendas ' to pursue as we couldn't fault the food or service and would definitely stay here again.

Only minor criticism is would have preferred a little more choice on the ' continental ' breakfast such as yoghurt , grapefruit and more croissants available as they didn't seem to be replenished when ran out although may have been available if asked for.

did not know that there was not a cooked breakfast, but the choice with was available was excellent

Saturday 5th night, after a full day of catching up with my family and friends, I got back to the Raven at approx. 10pm and fancied a quick beer before retiring to my room for the night, I was told that the bar was closed. Sunday morning at breakfast, I was informed that it was not supposed to close until 11pm. Th, very polite, lady apologized for the previous evening and would find out why this incident occured

The reception I received on arrival was firs class, the room was smart and comfortable. The dinner downstairs in the bar was if anything, too much food. Great location of you have to be in Corby, not too far from the town centre. The staff are all really nice, nothing too much trouble. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Raven.

Very little not to like, I guess the room might have come with shampoo and body wash, rather than just a small bar of soap. Other than that it was all good.

The staff were really nice. The twin room was very basic. I would say it was a great cheap night away but it wasn’t.

There was mould on the shower hose, no toiletries in the shampoo, just a bar of soap, for once I didn’t pack shower gel so the bar of soap had to do. No tea spoons for stirring our hot drinks. Glass being the head board, it was visible I don’t go hunting for mistakes. Little things that cleaners had missed, it happens. Didn’t ruin our stay, we made do. Unfortunately we had noisy neighbours that liked to scream in the corridors until 5am but again not the hotel staffs fault and the lady at breakfast was lovely about it and was very apologetic but we understood it’s not their fault. It’s not a bad hotel and if needed we would stay again.

The room was comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly Breakfast was good and able to choose what I wanted.

What would have been better was to have a shower and toilet in the room . As I had to go out of my room to use the toilet in the middle of the night. And didn't like using a shared shower. I didn't realise it was shared bathroom..

From the moment I walked in the door I felt very welcome, my room was upgraded to an en suite for which I'm very grateful especially as my reason for staying was visiting my very poorly elderly Mum, the room was lovely, comfy bed and pillows, excellent bathroom with the most lush rainfall shower and very nice toiletries. The breakfast is a simple continental but ample to set you up for the day and great coffee. I ate in the bar both nights I stayed and cannot fault the quality of food and the price, excellent home made chilli made with proper diced beef not mince and a daily special of pork on a bed of sliced creamy potato and veg in a sage and apple gravy, delicious. The staff are all lovely and really helpful, I will definitely stay again.

Nothing I didn't like but a small shelf in the bathroom would be extremely useful for own toiletries

The staff were exceptional and very polite. They quickly explained how everything works, physically shown to the room, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Bar has a nice beer garden out the back and a few nice craft beers to try. England were playing football, so they staff put the tv on in the little nook in the corner so that I could watch it in the comfort of the bar area. As I was staying in the room, was easy to run a tab, and clear before going up to room at the end of the night.

Shared bathrooms are not for everyone - I was fine with it - the one I used for a shower was nice and clean and tidy. One of the other ones, some of the other guests look like they treated it like an extension of room and not quite so clean and tidy [this is a customer issue - not hotel].

The staff were brilliant , breakfast was very good better than I expected , we stayed at The Raven one night on the 11th and one night on the 13th we were put in the refurbished part lovely bedroom and bathroom on the second visit we were in a bedroom which needed refurbishment so wasn't so happy which is why I only gave it a good on comfort and cleanliness it would have been an excellent but all in all it was very good value for money.

The twin room we were given definitely needed some TLC
