The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel itself is lovely- old and idiosyncratic, gradually in the process of having some facilities updated but the atmosphere was lovely and a welcome change from the clinical sterility of chain hotels. The four poster bed was really comfortable to sleep in. The chaise longue at the foot of the bed was nice for relaxing. Quite a few of the furnishings showed some wear, but this was part of the charm for us. Will definitely stay again.
The first night had seen sudden a temperature drop of over 10c from the previous day and the heating wasn’t on so the room was a little cold, but there was a spare cover for the bed so we were warm during the night. The next day was warmer and we were comfortable.

Staff were very friendly. Bar is active. Curly fries were well nice. I stayed here for a night before a wedding due to it's haunted reputation. I requested room 10 or 12, and was given room 12. It's a quite old fashioned room, very squeeky floorboards, but that's all part of the experience. That said, as soon as I entered the room it just felt normal. I've stayed in haunted places a lot and occasionally you walk into a place and there is an atmosphere... the air just feels different, that was not the case here... The room was a lovely temperature, smelled nice and was obviously cleaned and polished before my stay. I saw nothing paranormal, experienced nothing paranormal and felt comfortable the entire night. I left at 5:30am to attend a meeting. The bathroom was lovely.
Lots of mirrors in the room, unsure why but it made it hard to close the window.

Beautiful building . Lovely room (4) Staff were delightful . Young bar staff were hardworking, polite, and very helpful . Bar was very busy on arrival and enjoyed the fab music while having a lovely dinner . My dog was welcomed, and he became quite popular amongst the customers . He also picked up on some strange sounds that only he could hear, which set him off barking . 🤔
Small things . Shower heads with black around the holes and splits in the hose . Curtains not fully attached to the curtain rails .

Great location near park, Uni and town centre. Very stylish decoration in a beautiful georgian traditional building. I had a separate spacious bathroom just for myself although in a cheap single room. Great restaurant and bar. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Very clean
Couldn't catch wifi signal from my room but i guess that's because i was at the very edge of the bulding. Double glazing could be better. A second layer was added to an old existing single glaze but that wasn't sealed and when on the street side it's very loud as very busy road with speeding cars. I was on a single room perhaps double glazing is better in double rooms

Beautiful Georgian building with oak-panelled rooms filled with antique furniture, paintings and ornaments make it a really charming and interesting place to stay. Rooms are simple but comfortable and great value. Breakfast is fantastic. We ate in the bar and the food was good. BIG portions. Great location. Highly recommended for a shorst stay in Deby especially for the University. What really made a difference was the freindliness of the staff. Free parking at the back if you arrive by car. Would definitely stay again
Nothing particularly comes to mind

we always stay here when in Derby and feel very comfortable, Always been very clean and well maintained. Good rapport in bar and restaurant. reception always well mannered and polite.
the carpet in the room number 8 was badly stained and dirty, i had the feeling that someone had forgotten to clean it, very unusual here. room was tiny. We have stayed here numerous times and been completely satisfied. No bath this time, May be our own fault for not checking the details

Was breakfast on offer? We weren't aware. The building was old and beautiful. The furniture was in keeping with the old style. The bed was comfy and shower was spacious. Easy parking (even with charging for our rented EV)
I missed having soap and shampoo in the shower. But could nip to a small, local Sainsbury to buy some. And I would have liked a hairdryer in our room (maybe I just didn't find it?) I don't drink tea or coffee so would have really appreciated a hot chocolate offer with the kettle.

We stayed as we hired a room for a party. The room(s) we hired were just wonderful. We had the run of 4 interconnecting rooms all splendidly furnished and decorated with period ornaments and artefacts. The buffet spread was excellent and actually too much. We ordered a buffet for 20 people to cater for approx 30 who turned up and there was plenty left. The catering and bar staff couldn't do enough to help us.
Only that the bed was a bit bouncy, but it didn't matter really.

We loved The Georgian Hotel. The character of the building was phenomenal. Wood panelled and so full of oddities and curiosities. The four poster bed was cool to experience and the attached pub was super cool, although we didn't get a chance to try it out this time, mores the pity. The family that run it are very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was great and I honestly just really enjoyed it. If you're expecting high quality finish, then you should manage your expectations here. This is a very old building with very old furnishing and it is reasonably priced, so bear that in mind. But if you go in wanting a comfortable, clean, fun, interesting and friendly place to stay, you won't be disappointed! I would certainly stay again if I ever visit Derby.
I didn't really dislike anything.

This is an honest and down to earth accommodation. Booking a four-poster bed in a Georgian property did make me wonder if it was going to be a bit pretentious... it wasn't for a moment. Accepted at face-value from the moment we entered... I would send everybody I know to stay here (because I don't have friends who are too far up their own...).
I can't really think of anything. Oh, maybe the traffic noise on the road outside... we still slept like logs?
