The room we stayed in was very nice. It had patio doors that opened right out to let in the sun. The bed was comfy and big, we had a fridge, a dressing table, lovely hot water, table and chairs, TV, iron and ironing board, biscuits, tea, coffee etc... nothing was left out or forgotten. The food in the restaurant was second to none - absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection with plenty of choices for breakfast. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. All in all, we had a great time and we were looked after extremely well. We definitely would stay again. Did I say the staff were brilliant...? Loved it all - thank you!

Staff, without exception, were smiley, helpful and friendly. The food is fabulous and the bar is great - they don't do cocktails per se, but were good about looking one up and making it for us. Breakfast has good choice of non standard options. Lovely to have dedicated parking for the rooms, seperate to the pub carpark. Room had comfy beds with soft linen and fluffy towels. Both heater and tower fan are provided to cover all weather eventualities. Loved the way the exterior of the outbuildings that are now the accommodation blocks has not been changed, but inventive ways found to achieve the modernisation required.

Would have preferred a more accessible power socket to charge phones, and more sockets generally - if we had wanted the tv, kettle and fan all plugged in together we may have struggled. Maybe keep a tub of loan umbrellas by the external door in case of torrential rain at the time you need to walk the short distance to the pub for meals?

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding a Wharton house and was a perfect location. All the buildings - main pub and the cottage type accommodation were clean, upkept and the view from the room was stunning as it looked over plush fields. You really felt the cosy cottage vibes staying here. All the staff you so lovely and helpful, a very welcoming environment. Also the breakfast was really good - lots of options for both veggie and even gluten free too! Great value for money and would 100% to anyone, we only wished we lived closer so we could visit again!

Fantastic staff...really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I emailed a few days beforehand to ask about leaving before breakfast was available (marshalling at Donington) and they arranged a simple breakfast hamper (cereal, yoghurt, fruit) which was perfect. Great room facilities (including a fridge...so helpful....and fresh milk!). We also ate in the evening (best to book in advance)...excellent service and fabulous food. Rooms are separate to the pub so no pub noise. Brilliant!

Nothing an issue for us. Beds rather soft which some people may dislike but I found mine very comfy. A little worn in places but to be expected and didn't detract from our experience in the slightest!

Great breakfast with a big choice of options. Four of us travelled and everything that we tried over the two days there was excellent. Also had a fantastic roast dinner on the Sunday and the pub does an amazing amount of local trade which is a sign of their quality and local reputation. Staff were all lovely and made us and our wheaten terrier extremely welcome. Room was very comfortable with a good, powerful, shower.

Some of the dog owners who are welcomed to the pub/hotel need to learn to pick up their dogs mess if they allow their pets to relieve themselves in the pubs grounds, especially as there is a field that you can walk your dogs in close by (where you should also remove any mess !)

Location, staff, food, decor, comfort and warm welcome. We were late in on Sunday evening and the property had arranged us to have a pre ordered meal, ready for our arrival. Fresh milk was given to us in dinky little bottles for our tea and coffees in our room . Room was delightful and had a wee jar or wrapped chocolate in case of a need for a sweet treat along with the usual coffee, tea and hot chocolate was a selection of plain and chocolate biscuits. Crisp white linen , very comfortable beds and ample towels and toiletries. Very clean and the addition of a fan helpful. What was extra special was the message from staff at the main building that we had got in okay to the rooms in the Mews and if all was satisfactory. Indeed it was with a very comfortable sleep with no disturbance of any kind.

Squashier pillows!

Lovely place. Rooms were cosy and well decorated. In keeping with the Inn, really cute little accomodation as a separate building to the pub. Quiet so had a good night's sleep. Comfy bed. Dinner was delicious with a good menu to choose from. Breakfast was also lovely and chef happy to make amendments to what was on the menu. Great coffee. Toiletries provided in the bathroom. Soft clean towels and a fridge with complimentary water. Fresh milk provided for rooms. Good selection of tea coffee, etc.and biscuits! Really friendly staff and a great pub with a good atmosphere.

Quite steep stairs to our room, so be sure to request a ground floor room if mobility is an issue. Shower pressure is not great, but there is plenty of hot water. Shower curtain rather than screen, but it seemed clean. Had to move bedside drawers to open wardrobe, but only a small issue once we unpacked we left it open.

A night required on a journey north to Yorkshire--so easy access from motorway. Too late (Sun evening) to enjoy the food but the cooked breakfast was first class and the staff friendly and welcoming. Pleasant evening of drinks in the bar whilst the accommodation is in a separate courtyard to the rear so peaceful and quiet. The room was well decorated containing all you need and a powerful shower was a welcome bonus in the morning. There is not much to see in the village itself but a pleasant 30 minute stroll provides a view of several interesting houses and architecture.

Nothing really-- a good value inn perfect for an overnight stay.

The bed was comfortable, we had a lovely room where double doors opened to the courtyard parking area, and there were great facilities including a Hairdryer, iron, fridge and a safe! The milk was fresh and not UHT rubbish. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the food in the pub for evening meal and breakfast was delightful. Everything was piping hot, fresh and obviously home made! Couldn't have asked for a better stay and food.

Comfortable room, although parts are starting to look a little worn, especially in the bathroom. Food is amazing, great selection on the menu and pleasant waiting staff.

Check in was a little adhoc (not the usual staff checking in). I had to remind them about milk for my room nor did it follow the same processes as usual (taking credit card details despite the room having already been payed for seemed very unusual).
