Sally and Ian made us feel welcome from the get go by responding to any questions we had pre-arrival. Their guest house is fabulous, their attention to detail is impeccable and all of our team who stayed there would like to recommend Lindean Guesthouse to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Dumfries - be it for work or on holiday! Location is perfect, the guest house itself is in a lovely street; close to town centre, River Nith and very close to the train station too. Breakfast 15 out of 10 each time, there is something available for all dietary requirements and were happy to add in any extra requests. It was both delicious and cooked to perfection by Sally. The hosts always greeted us with a friendly face; rooms were perfect and the beds very comfortable - especially what we needed after working the long hours we did at the UCI Cycling World Championships. Definitively, a place I'd like to book in to when revisiting Dumfries in the future!

We loved the property and location. Easy parking and our hosts, Sally & Ian were friendly & welcoming. The property is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious with period features. There was an excellent choice of refreshments in the room. Breakfast is outstanding with fresh fruit and an excellent choice of cooked food . Mr had a full cooked breakfast and for myself the smaller version for smaller appetites. We highly recommended staying here , excellent value for money ( correction a bargain). We will definitely stay here again

Nothing to dislike

The hosts, Sally and Ian, were very nice and bent over backward to help us. We got in several hours late to a traffic problem and they worked closely with us to ensure a great stay. The breakfasts were quite good and the king size bed was very comfortable. The location was also quite good as the home was in a quiet area yet only a 10 minute walk from some good restaurants in Dumfries.

Everything was fine - no problems to report.

Sally and Ian were lovely hosts; very welcoming and attentive, and had great tips for things to do in Dumfries and the wider region. My room was large and very comfortable. The location is great; only a five-minute stroll from the town centre and just off the main road for driving anywhere, but in a very quiet street. Breakfast was delicious too. I will definitely be back when I next visit Dumfries and Galloway.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, flexible on timings and delicious. Room was very comfortable had everything you need including plenty of tea bags / milk / coffee etc. The location was very handy, close to the centre of Dumfries. Plenty of parking in and around the property. Hosts were superb. Very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

Location of Lindean and facilities met with our expectations. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Short 5 minute walk to town Center. Our hosts Sally and Ian were so helpful and provided excellent service along with hints and tips for places to see and visit during our stay. Great selection for breakfast to suit all tastes( my wife is a vegetarian). Would certainly stay here again if we are in Dumfries.

Everything was just perfect from the moment we arrived. The guest house is beautiful, our room was tranquil and very spacious with lovely extra touches. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and very filling, so much choice. Sally and Ian were extremely hospitable and advised us of nice places to visit. The location is a stones throw to the town centre. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Thankyou Sally and Ian.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Our hosts Sally and Ian were just lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. They had many recommendations for restaurants and things to do in and around Dumfries. The fridge with complimentary soft drinks was another highlight in the unseasonably warm Scottish weather. We felt really welcome in their home and can only recommend Lindean Guest House.

This is such a lovely B&B. There were so many options for breakfast and everything I had was delicious. The location is ideal as its only a 5 minute walk from the town centre. Ian and Sally were friendly and very accomodating. We loved our chats.

Sally and Ian are very warm hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast was a feast each morning with lots of choice, even with surprise chocolate croissants. A lovely place to ‘come home to’ after a hard day’s work!
