I thought the bedroom was cute. I had a single bed and it was very comfortable. I enjoyed my breakfast every morning and not having to walk through the busy pub to get to my room when I came back in the evening. There is a side entrance. It is situated right opposite Osborne House which is a lovely place to walk. It also has a bus stop right outside so if you don't want to use the car you can be at the chain ferry to Cowes within 15 minutes, or on the other side the buses go to Ryde and Newport. The shower was good and there were a nice lot of sockets in the room for various electricals to recharge at the same time. The staff were very helpful, especially the new head chef, Jes. He kindly carried my heavy case down the stairs.

The key was a little difficult to get into the bedroom door lock, but a little oil on the key would soon fix that. It is a busy road and I was fortunate enough to be round the side of the pub and not at the front.

Had parking , deans breakfast , dean was really helpful and informative about the area , cares about the standard of meal he turns out for the guests but needs help in the kitchen especially as they get busier

Being on the top floor , bathroom and toilet could do with an upgrade which I believe is on the agenda as they had only been reopened for a week, a couple of things need a tweak , rooms don’t really need turning over on a daily basis but bottled water and replenishment of supplies would be a plus, and more staff to address any issues, I am excited to see what else the new managers achieve when they have their attention to detail and full staff in place this could be the place to be , but it is a huge improvement on a previous stay prior to them being on board. Good luck we will visit again xx

The recent refurb on the ground floor, including car park and garden area, was desperately needed. This has transformed tired areas into a clean/bright and welcoming experience. Friendly and accommodating front of house staff including the daily room cleaning team ☺️

Suggestions: Dining area - a bell to ring for assistance would be a really useful addition, plus keep the radio on whilst service is ongoing as provides a pleasant background noise. Excellent breakfast choice: cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast & preserves (restock these items daily to avoid disappointment) plus absolutely any combination you desire of a full English breakfast - brilliant.

We had a lovely stay at the Prince of Wales. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in a little early as the room was ready and we were even able to leave our luggage for the day after check-out, which was very helpful for us. The room had everything we needed. It was a bit warm but there is a fan available in case you need it. They offer a small selection of breakfast which was great to start the day. The location was great, with Osborne House just a few yards away and the bus stop direction Ryde or Newport is just outside the hotel which is very convenient if you are travelling by bus. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was awesome, great quality bacon and lovely poached eggs. Coffee was lovely too, would have liked to have got a second, but staff were busy. Staff were friendly. Room was great for the price, fab shower, and everything needed in the room. It was a lovely quiet room even with overlooking the beer garden. When shown to the room, it hadn't actually been cleaned, but the guy took me back to the bar while it was sorted and did a round of drinks for me and the family while my room was sorted and it was done quickly and looked fab.

The bed was not overly comfortable, mattress could probably do with being replaced soon.

We were recommended a take away to order to the Prince of Wales as they didn't serve evening meals and we were able to eat in the bar and were even given plates and cutlery. We were travelling for the Festival so this really pleased us. Very accommodating. We were shown to our rooms, given all the information we needed. Very interesting booklet about the pub and in particular the rooms we stayed in, for me it was the Prince Albert room. Very comfortable nights sleep.

Not so much didn't like but a coffee machine in the room where breakfast was served would have been great, apparently had been let down by staff not turning up so they were very busy. But all staff very apologetic and did give us what we needed.

Breakfast was fabulous- the service was outstanding. The check in was simple but could have been better orchestrated regarding- logistics, food, room location etc. The room was extremely comfortable and provided everything. Great value and perfect location for Osbourne House,( an opportunity for new lunch and tea time business as you couldn't get a table in there!) Also the locals in the bar were extremely welcoming and friendly- great place for a beer and bite too eat

Prince of Wales is in the perfect location. We only went there to visit Osborne House as it is across the road. We also walked to town, went shopping and relaxed having lunch at a nice cafe. Then took the bus back to the hotel. Staff were very friendly. Had a good stay. Also plenty of food for breakfast.

The only thing that was a bit annoying, sorry but the beds were squeaky and when you moved, they squeaked. That is the only issue. Squeak, squeak. : )

We completely enjoyed our stay. Food was good, staff was great. We loved the local atmosphere. When we left, the owner offered to drive us to the ferry and refused to take any money for it. across from the Osborne house.

We were glad that we had a bathroom directly in our room. Unfortunately, we didn't realize there was no lift, but the wonderful staff helped us store some luggage and carry some up to our room. We had a lot of luggage.

We had a warm welcome from the new owner on arrival. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent breakfast with a lot of options. Food in the restaurant in the evenings was exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful about the area. Local to the ferry port and central to everywhere on the island. Very warm and accommodating and a very relaxing break.

There is nothing to dislike about this accommodation.
