The location is great - 5 minutes from the ferry, convenient for travelling anywhere on the island, in its own open grounds well away from the road and nearby shops, so it is quiet and peaceful but not cut off. The room was spacious, attractively furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The pool is unexpectedly large and well equipped - sauna, jacuzzi etc, and there was a complete range of beauty therapies. The food was delicious, a good selection of a few standard simple choices but fresh and healthy, especially the choice and quality of breakfast e.g eggs Benedict. The staff were very good - friendly and knowledgeable when asked, but not intrusive. Lovely view over the lake from the dining areas. The hotel was quiet despite it being a school holiday week ( late October) and we couldnt work out why as it is so attractive.

Nothing!

Breakfast was fine but there could have been items.e.g musili Our twin bed room was spacious but why did I pay extra when out of forty plus bedrooms, only six were occupied!!Please explain. The one evening meal was fantastic. Brilliant food and exceptional service by staff members.

See above Our room was well presented but I needed to use the lavatory brush on our arrival. Towels should have been folded neatly and bed linen straightened better. Bottles of water provided every day would have been welcomed. Have experienced that elsewhere. Is a staff member detailed to check public areas? An “Asda” sandwich wrapper was left on a terrace chair for two days and a glass bottle. A discarded coffee cup remained in the car park for four days. Finally, tidy magazines in the reception area and inlaid rugs vacuumed were noticed. Your four star rating would have been in danger by a mysterious shopper, of which I am not.

Loved the fact that there was a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and they were all inclusive, we didn't have to pay extra money to use those. Stunning view! Everything was just perfect!

Pool and Spa, lakeside setting, great for kids, large bright brasserie, clean and modern bedrooms, and mostly helpful staff. Acceptable but unimaginative breakfast.

First impressions are important. After a short wonderful secluded, green drive up to the hotel, you are immediately brought back down to earth by the rather stark 80s brick building. Softening its appearance by investing in some well kept herbaceous borders and possibly some imaginative lighting would seem quite an easy win, take your mind off the dated functional carpets, and give the ground floor bedrooms something less depressing to look at than the immediacy of a car park.

The hotel was set in a beautiful location by a lake (hence the name) and we enjoyed having a drink in the evening sat out by the lake. The room itself was lovely. Certainly big enough for a couple and very clean. We made use of the Spa when we stayed and again it was lovely and we were very impressed with the treatments that we booked. All staff that we interacted with both in the spa and hotel were friendly and very helpful.

The WiFi at the hotel was not great and kept dropping out which was slightly annoying when trying to make use of it during the evening's. The breakfast on one of the mornings was also not great as some of the cooked breakfast was quite salty.

Super restaurant - enjoyed very nice dinner and breakfast there. Comfortable bed, clean spacious room and common areas. Nice spa with good range of facilities including 2 jacuzzis, 3 saunas, steam room and good size pool. Great views. Friendly staff. Great location which had the benefits of being in the town but felt like the countryside. Had a happy stay and would return.

The heavily restricted timings under 16s could use the pool did not support the claim that families are welcome. We booked a family room for 4 but there were only 2 beds. An additional 2 camp beds were brought in but no extra towels or glasses etc were provided. Very dated TV that didn't really work.

Beautiful setting, very comfortable spacious room. Quiet and relaxing. Lovely spa area, especially outside thermal pool. And a great idea to limit times children can use the facilities. Lovely dinner in the brasserie. We enjoyed walking around the grounds by the lake.

The pool could have been cleaner on the bottom. Breakfast was tasty but given the excellent quality of the evening meal was possibly a bit lacking.

Great location, spa included on site and breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and had everything needed.

One of our 2 single beds was past its useful life and was too slumped and very uncomfortable, I slept on that bed and woke up numerous times through the night with back ache and had to turn sides
