The sea view the room serviced well with drinks etc

Fortunately the lower staff level were very helpful and tried their best. Unfortunately: The senior levels were sadly lacking, there were a lot of people needing service like drinks in the bar and snacks. But the barman was alone and even had to change the beer barrels with a lot of customers waiting to be served. Then we were refused bar snacks and sandwiches. Giving only the option of expensive buffets. I am one who believes in the old ways that the customer should be treated well and not " Have what we tell you, you can have or nothing at all." What happened to the customer comes first? Sign of the times? Not mine.

Hotel is seafront..but a back room not sea view price was lower...have stayed before so knew what to expect...very good for price...would defo stay again...very important for us is the choice to cancel literally on day of arrival before 2pm.. and can pay in arrival.. that's main reason for keep going back..and cost compared to other hotels....there's no comparison this time.....another date another could be comparable...but not often.. Nice big room this time...rooms can be so different size wise....lovely hot plentiful water for sink/shower....good supply of toiletries and toilet paper

People walking around till 1am in room above us..!!! For 3 hours....couldn't understand why you'd go away but walk around room all evening..! And people coming in late and leaving doors to bang shut!!! Some people are just inconsiderate! that's not hotels fault tho.. Needed to ask for more pillows...think there should always be 2 pillows to each person... it was cold in evening / a.m.. ...no heating on apart from towel radiator in shower room... Was no teabags in room...was lots of coffee.. good job I brought my own...I'd already asked for 2 more pillows so didn't want to ask again... Please get housekeeping to check tv works when cleaning rooms... fortunately husband got it to work

The location is perfect and we were treated to a concert from the Bandstand - Tom Jones tribute act and we could watch from our room. Staff really lovely and sorted out a problem with the room. Second room offered was perfect . Great view and you can hear the waves.

Someone tried our door quite a few times late at night on the Saturday and I was too scared to go out. When we arrived huge event in the dining area lots of alcohol involved. Noisy people in corridor likely drunk.First room offered wasn’t twin was a double ie two beds joined together by a bolt and one duvet, window was not working and the layout was a bit rubbish, some mould on the ceiling. This was sorted out for us as I went back to reception and said we booked a twin. At first she was can you not push the beds apart but there wasn’t room to do that. Receptionist helped us out and got us a better room that was a twin room. No free WiFi was a bit of a pain.

The hotel was situated right on the front, with lovely sea views. Also walking distant to the pier and the town and restaurants and pubs.

The hotel was very dated. It would of been lovely when they had first built it, but it looks like they haven't done anything since. My husband and I had a suite which on arrival was really hot inside as there was no air conditioning which made our sleep at night unbearable! The bed was comfy, but the pillows were very hard. Our bathroom was also very dated, and the ceiling bit near the window had all pealed and looked like it hadn't been touched for 30 years or so? .

The friendlyness of the staff, breakfast was good, self-service. Location and parking are available on a first come, first serve. There is plenty of storage/ hanging space for clothes.

Booked a superior room, which had a balcony, but was not able to sit out, even though rooms either side had balconies with table and chairs, bath with shower curtain, needs to be updated to shower. Bit hit and miss with restaurant openings, not availble Saturday evening, no reasons why, so eat out. Told by reception, breakfast finishes at 9.30 when it is 10.00 bit of rush to get packed out of rooms without missing breakfast, as need to be out of rooms by 10.00

Great location. We were there during the Air Show. Had a fab room 114 with enormous balcony. Enormous room and bathroom. The bathroom was wonderful. All new and clean. The last night we were in 110 on fourth floor a corner balcony. Only one window would open. Very comfortable. The breakfast wasn’t bad. But please cook sausages more as they’re anaemic. Everything else was good. Great scrambled eggs and fried eggs. Great coffees and juices. We enjoyed the breakfast but no black pudding 🥲… Loved the hotel leaving candy rock and pens out for the guests during the air show.. Had sandwiches n fries which were delicious. Shame there’s no housekeeping. We were in a superior room and expected water. We didn’t get any but on asking at reception they gave us two bottles but only once. Would have been a nice touch. We were paying quite a lot being during the air show. It’s very difficult phoning reception from home. No one bothers to answer. I was told I could book the car park. Then I was told by email I couldn’t. I was worried as I’m disabled. They said we could park outside but they didn’t tell us the roads would be closed due to air show. We worried all the way but when we arrived I had a space booked in car park at £8 a day which was great. Don’t think the dinner was worth the money. There are tons of restaurants around that are much better and more friendly. The reception staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. I was very impressed.

Whilst the bedrooms were good 114 was a little dusty. Both the balconies and thresholds were very dirty with Bird Poo. Don’t know why they don’t jet wash it .. First night we went into dining room 7.40. We were greeted by a miserable waiter who told us we had ten mins to eat. Food wasn’t bad it was a buffet. But not much there. He did get me some ice cream though as I don’t eat cake. Don’t like the refurbishment as it’s lost its Olde’ Worldiness which I loved… Lift could do with a good clean. Restaurant closes at 8 pm. Bar has restricted opening times.

I picked a sea view room and we were extremely lucky that the room we got was on the corner with window views to the side and to the sea front meaning we had an excellent view of the pier and bandstand. We also had a balcony which I wasn't expecting which was so lovely to sit out on and enjoy the views and sea and air and watch the world go by. The room was massive and lots of space . We also had a fridge which again wasn't expecting which was very handy. Breakfast was what you would expect for a buffet style help your self. Was nothing you could fault all very pleasant freshly topped up with food and was all very tasty.

Only 1 X pillow on bed each. Dated interior but it was clean and tidy but that's what you expect from a hotel of this style and age. Room could do with a revamp of interior.

Room was right opposite the bandstand with a view of the pier - stunning. The room was large and had a balcony, which was more than expected. The staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. There was a nice ambience in the hotel. Plenty storage space for clothes and luggage. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. There were comfortable chairs and a table in the room as well as bedside tables.

The room wasn't serviced during the short stay, but clean towels were available on request. Extra tea, coffee, milk was available in the reception area. Hotel information wasn't easily accessible, but the reception staff were happy to answer any queries.
