Meals were all very good and i particularly enjoyed the breakfasts with so much variety. Our room was spacious with a sea view and quite comfortable.Entertainment every night was also good and all staff were extremely pleasant.

The one big drawback was that there was absolutely no heating in either our room nor the bathroom. We had a small electric heater which didn't seem to make a lot of difference and having to use the bathroom with a window that didn't close along with no heat was very uncomfortable. It was so cold on our first night that we slept fully dressed. We did report it and were told that they'd get somebody to take a look but it didn't seem to happen.

Nice large dog friendly room, comfy bed, pleasant bar.

It would have been nice to have had our bins emptied at least once in our 3 night stay, The weather was hot and having a dog we had 3 days of empty dog food pouches plus other detritus mounting up. Had to replenish our tea , coffee and milk from reception . You are literally paying for a room these days, not service. Can't comment about the breakfast or food as not able to access due to dog.

The size and location of the room in the hotel was good. Nice selection of biscuits and hot chocolate drink at bedtime. Although the room was at the back of the Hotel it was nice and quiet and just two small flights of stairs from the ground floor if the lift was engaged. Our stay was good value. A good selection of food at breakfast but would be nice to extend the time to 9.30 am

We booked a 'Superior' twin room which on your website gave an indication that this would be a front facing sea view and would include a coffee machine. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were allocated a back room with a view of a flat roof covered in cigarette ends and empty packets and no coffee machine. What a shame! However the Reception staff did try their best to rectify the situation without success.

The staff were very warm and welcoming they greeted us like old friends and made a fuss of the dog Luci. The room was comfortable and clean. I couldn't thank the staff at meal times allowing dogs into the restaurant I thought that was brilliant they have a separate seating area. My dog has a tendency to whine if she is left alone so was very thrilled she could join me and my mum at meal times. I understand this is not to all guests liking but as a dog owner it's fabulous there guests too why should they not be allowed. I do hope this policy remains as this would certainly bring me back. I wish all hotels were like this. All the meals were fabulous at the hotel the strawberry swirl cheesecake is to die for. Parking is on sight and for £6 a day and £10 a night for a dog. I can't complain Keep up the good work a staff at the Burlington you are the flagship for all other hotels.

My room was big with a nice view of the hills behind. It was quiet. The staff were very kind and helpful. Anything I asked for they were happy to help with. I love the location of this hotel. Its right across from the beach and sea, and as a swimmer I walked right across the road and onto the beach for many nice swims. Also the hotel is very near to and within an easy walking distance from many nice restaurants, cafes, shops and the town centre. I like the breakfasts too. It's mainly self service and with many nice cold and hot foods to choose from. Also this hotel has a lot of old fashioned character, which I much prefer personaly to modern and soulless architecture. I have stayed here before and would definitely recommend and I will stay again.

The room was too hot when I first arrived, but with the fan provided it was fine after a bit of airing out.

The superior sea view room was excellent. Really well equipped, very spacious, fabulous view, very comfortable, plenty of complimentary tea/coffee, with a coffee making machine. Great bathroom with superb shower. Sunrise was a spectacular event, with sunshine bursting through the south facing windows. Great location, close to the beach and all the restaurants & bars. Parking was not guaranteed, but we were lucky on both nights, right behind the hotel, very convenient. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was adequate, considering the number of guests being served. Couldn't complain. The hotel has two bars and live entertainment. There is also a restaurant, however the menu didn't tempt us to eat there, especially with so many others close by.

The hotel is very grand, and very old, and looking in need of a complete refurbishment. However, that would cost a fortune and take ages, so I expect the owners will keep operating on a budget as long as possible. So, for the tariff, I can't see how anyone can complain. Only one of two lifts is working, and I expect that will fail at some point. We were worried it would happen with us inside, it's only big enough for 4 people, so the there was a queue for it at peak times.

The room was recently refurbished and very big which was unexpected as parts of the hotel are a little run down. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good- kept topped up even towards end of service.

The lifts need refurbishing- They are so old and I was scared to use them as you could only really get 2 people in them and one of them broke down during our 3 day stay. The reception needs updating it’s very scruffy and dirty - it does not give a good first impression. Also although our room was very nice the balcony outside was really filthy it needed cleaning - we were in room 119. And when we got there the shower plug hole had dirty scum down it - I let the reception know twice but no cleaner came -in the end managed to find the cleaning manager who dealt with it. The last night I didn’t sleep as the noise from above our room was loud -pacing and thudding noise in early hours of morning. Also it’s a bit expensive £6 a day to park in the hotels car park -other hotels do it for less-£2.

The staff were all very nice, the rooms including bathroom were very clean, beds were comfotable

The lift situation needs sorting out,1 of the lifts appears to have been out of action for a while. The second lift didnt feel very safe and did get stuck on the basement. The staff were very quick to rectify when told about it,The restaurant was clean.not much of a selection for breakfast,we were booked in for evening meal for 2 nights,i am not a fussy eater but i like basic food we ate on the first night i had sausage an mash, lovely sausages,my daughter and grandson had fish and chips which were not very nice, they had no childrens menu. The menu for the second night had nothing that i or my daughter would eat,so we ended up with McDonalds

Fantastic location, staff kind and very helpful. Our room was lovely and very clean. It had everything we needed.

No aircon was an issue for us as was very hot day. The room was so hot we had to go out and buy another fan. The parking was tricky. Luckily we managed to get the very last space at a cost of £6.50 extra. The hotel itself is in need of a decor re vamp. Very tired and shabby in the hallways, reception area and carpets on stairs very ripped. I was worried about what the room was like but thankfully the room was modern and newly refurbished. The money is spent on the rooms which is fair. The only issue we really had was toilet was very packed in. Difficult to use if you are a 6f man 15 plus stone. My partner couldn’t use it. He had to use communal downstairs 😂
