Their handling of parking is excellent; they include a day permit without any extra charge. Breakfast is always great. The single rooms are small but absolutely fine at this price point. The staff are always really friendly and supportive, and enough to have me book again (and I've booked here several times already!) The location is absolutely great - right by the sea front and only 5 minutes walk from town.
I need to remember to take my own pillow. The beds are surprisingly comfortable, but the pillows are really poor. They do the job (sort of), but I don't know how they managed to even buy pillows that bad. Even though they are one of the cheaper hotels around, the pillows seem like the one detail that manages to drop below the 'value for money'.

I have been here a few times, and they are very welcoming. I was given room 205, and it was the perfect size for me. The room felt very relaxing, and the Street outside was very peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable, that it felt like my own bed, at home. The room wall was well insulated, so you never felt like you was disturbing anyone. The breakfast, in the morning, was made fresh, and the cook was very helpful, in making what you need. The hotel is beautiful placed between the beach, and the town centre, and there is great choice of restaurants to choose from. This is definitely one of my top 5 hotels, and I would recommend this hotel everything.
There wasn't a lot I didn't like, but the a few small things like the bathroom bins needs replacing, along with the shower unit doors needs adjusting, so they close together properly, and the shower head needs cleaning, as it look rusty...this was in my room 205. '

Perfect location, excellent value for money and brilliant staff.
Floors were noisy woken at 0500 by another guest leaving the hotel early. Would not stop me rebooking but would ask for a quiet room.

Upon entering the hotel, you are immediately greeted by the soft and mellow tones of jazz music floating on the atmosphere, as you make your way towards the Reception area. That, for me, was a simple yet elegant touch which added to the welcome. Adnan, on the Reception desk, was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating in making my stay a comfortable one. Thanks Adnan. My room was spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. The decor added to its appeal. Similarly, the decor in the lounge areas on the ground floor were warm and inviting. In my room, the wardrobe, which is also spacious, houses the iron, ironing board and hairdryer - this was so welcome and convenient. The room includes a large lounge area and I enjoyed the use of this for reading or doing some typing on my tablet. As listed in the facilities provided, a small fridge is available, as well as the usual tea/coffee making facilities. If you find the main light in the room to be too bright, there is the option of the beside table lamps which I used mostly. The bathroom is also a good size with large bath and walk-in shower. You can also moderate the heating in the room to suit yourself. Regarding its location, there are several restaurants close by and the seafront is only a few yards from the hotel. Whilst the hotel only provides breakfast, management do permit you to order food (which you can have in your room) if you do not wish to go out. So yes, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay and will visit again. My thanks to all the staff.

This is a great little hotel, situated on one of Eastbourne's seafront squares. Ran by a fantastic team who go out of their way to make sure that your stay is a great experience. Struggling like everyone, they have somehow managed to keep prices low, whilst refusing to sacrifice their ethos.
Unfortunately as I'm a disabled pensioner, on this visit (probably my 12th), I found the single bed almost impossible to sleep in, I'm a large framed man and at almost 18st...a tiny, 3' 6" mattress just doesn't work for me. Also the bathroom is almost out of bounds due to the fact that there are no grab rails over the bath. This means that for safety I have to sit on the end of the bath and have body washes rather than a shower or a proper bath. Having either would be far too hazardous, because of the risk of falls. I hope the owners view this as constructive criticism and not a complaint?

Great location close to sea front and easy walkable distance to the centre and other places of interest. The hotel was bright, colourful, clean , welcoming and comfortable. My single room was small but adequate for one night with everything I needed. I was very happy by how quiet it was inside the hotel. No banging doors or sounds of other guests. I slept very well and felt relaxed which was what I wanted. The quiet! I didn't have breakfast but it smelt great early in the morning! I will definitely stay here again as a quiet getaway although I think that may also depend on other guests.
I didn't like the floor. Prefer carpet or a rug added by the bed would be nice. The pillows were toooooo thin. Hard for anyone who needs to sleep with slightly raised chest rather than completely flat. The bath was very deep to get into for a shower for a shorter person !

the hotel is very close to the Esplanade and the theatres so is in a really good location. it was also spotlessly clean, and the lounge area doubled as an art gallery, displaying local artists which added interest to a relaxing space. The breakfast was very good value for money
The floorboards in the bathroom were a little squeaky but that reflected the age of the property. also, one couldn’t get a drink after 9pm as the bar closed then, but this may have been because of it being the winter months (November).

Love the Da Vinci! Professional, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings Particularly liked the artwork ..exceptional standard. Really comfortable bed ..fridge in room was helpful, great size tv ( in my experience hotel tv's are often ridiculously small) super efficient shower and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Great position for theatres, restaurants and local pubs. Just perfect all round ***

We absolutely loved the style of the hotel..really good interior..the location was perfect and the parking was easy..and free as we found out when we arrived..the staff were nice and friendly..even they let us to check in 2 hours earlier and we really did apreciate that! Thank you for your hospitality!!
The thing that bother us was that our bed for two people was a little bit smaller ...and our door was somehow a bit loose even after we locked it..and it was making not nice noise the whole night...but in general it was good stay for us!!

This is one of my favourite hotels in Eastbourne, it is in a great location, unfortunately on this visit, my favourite bar...The Stage Door, was shut for refurbishment....but that's not the fault of this hotel. Very friendly staff and outside of Wetherspoons, offers quite astonishingly cheap prices in the little bar.
On this visit I was taken ill with a severe chest infection. I'd paid for breakfast on both days but realised that it would be impossible for me to stay. I phoned and left a message, requesting that instead of a breakfast on the Saturday morning, would it be possible for them to make me a sandwich to take on the road? Eventually a chambermaid came to my door and although I repeated my request...it was obvious that I wasn't going to get any help in this? I ended up going to a nearby shop and buying what I needed and decided to stay that Saturday and departed the hotel at 03:00 on the Sunday morning.
