A nice and cozy hotel for a short stay. Good choice of breakfast, helpful staff, a convenient and comfortable common area to make up of the small rooms, fast wifi, good location only 10 minutes from the centre and 10 minutes from the Airline bus to the airport.

Nothing I can remember, so probably nothing worth mentioning.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel it is an old house with noisy floor, but this is the charm of it. The toom was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The heating was working perfectly. There is a small lift in the building. There are many restaurants and grocery shops nearby.

The room had two single beds which were pushed together (requested) one was softer the other one was harder. This was not a problem for me as I stayed alone and slept on one side, but it might be for couples or maybe not. The WiFi was a bit slow sometimes, the password is at reception. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would be happy to stay here again and recommend it.

The staff in the restaurant at breakfast where amazing, always smiling and working very hard.

The check out time says 11am on booking.com but the hotel told us 10am when we got there.

4 poster bedroom was a very good size great to able to walk around the bed with plenty of room to spare, bed very comfortable bathroom very clean as was the room all round. Staff were great very accommodating to requests. Underground parking behind property was ideal even though £18.50 a night not cheap but so handy all the same. We went for the tattoo which was great chose this hotel as approx 10-15 minute walk to the castle and main town so ideal location for us.

Could do with more or firmer pillows but that just a personal thing. Wifi may be free but neither of us could connect to it thought it was because we was on the 2nd floor but it didn’t work in the breakfast room either but then again we was there on a break so not a game changer but if someone was there on business this may prove a problem. It may have been better in one of the other rooms downstairs never tried it?

Great budget hotel. Really comfy beds & lovely shower, everywhere was super clean too. Staff were friendly and helpful even let us leave our cases there on our last day so we could explore the city. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice, we had the Scottish breakfast which was lovely! Really set us up for the day. Very close to Haymarket station (10 mins walk) where you can get train, tram or loads of buses into town which take minutes or you can walk which takes about 15-20mins. We even got in a bus from Haymarket to Portobello beach which was lovely!! Our Airlink bus stopped here too so very easy getting to & from airport. Fantastic value for the money we paid & would definitely stay again & recommend.

Decor & furnishings are a bit tired & need a refresh but didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay, shower door was a little broken but worked.

the room was a typical british room. the bed was comfortable we had a big window. the heating was really good, we used it very often during our stay. the building is a little bit old, so you can hear the other people's walking through the corridors but that was not annoying.

the room did not have a closet for the clothes. The receptionist asked us to choose a time slot for the breakfast, but I dont think guests and the staff obey those plans because we had to wait at least 30 mins. for our plates, so using other rooms can be more effective for the breakfast. I hoped to see some uncooked vegetables for the breakfast such as tomatoes and cucumbers or there can be sandwiches with cheese.

No issues with the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and a good size. The hotel is in a good location and the city sights are easily accessible on foot. The breakfast was good and the staff ensured the drinks were served promptly and the buffet kept topped up. We were there during the Fringe Festival so both the hotel and city were busy but we found our room to be quiet despite it being very near the hotel entrance.

Our room was tucked away, which made it quiet but it had no view at all from the windows. It was quite expensive for a 3 star hotel but we were there in prime Fringe Festival season so that was to be expected.

The room was cosy and large! The best point is definitely the breakfast, Made to order and fresh. Upside, or downside depending on your taste is that you have to choose a 30 minutes slot the day before to prevent overcrowding. Also, very well located, within 15 minutes walking to most of the big attractions and to a few bus stops.

Although the room was big and spacious, I would have liked to have a little fridge in there so that I could store some food and drinks as the hotel does not offer dinners or lunch. There is a honesty bar but it is cheaper to buy drinks and food at the Tesco express nearby

We loved the staff. They were very kind and accommodating to their guests ensuring the best stay. We also loved the amazing breakfast that was available every morning. I saw some reviews not liking the breakfast, but we thought it was perfect. Cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the staff was and how kind they are !! The hotel itself was quite nice and had a great location.

We didn’t like that we weren’t given towels in our room upon arrival. We asked the staff for towels if we could have towels and they didn’t understand we weren’t given any (period). The cleaning staff didn’t give us any towels so we had to ask a second time for towels, but finally they delivered. We also thought the carpet could possibly use another vacuum in the rooms. BUT obviously this was a one off and we know it wasn’t intentonal/just a mistake.

Consistent With most comments, the staff were friendly and helpful. Several people complained about the breakfast. I thought it was great. You could even get eggs. Benedict. And waiting. Did not seem to be a problem. Easy To get to Haymarket tram station. Make sure you get a day pass for 5 pounds is that will pay off if you take more than two rides. Lots Of good restaurants between the tram station and the hotel. The Indian and Vietnamese ones I enjoyed. You

I guess It goes with the territory in Edinburgh, but it seems expensive.
