Close to the Haymarket station and to the city centre. Cleanness. Although there was no a breakfast option, a kitchenette with tea and (instant) coffee making facilities is available Friendly receptionists, we were able to check in already at about 2 pm.

Many-many steps to the rooms on the top floor - it was ok for us even with pretty heavy luggage, but only since we are quite sporty No pubs or restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel It was pretty hot in the room when we arrived, but opening the windows solved the problem, although the street got quite noisy in the morning. A fan is also provided, but no AC.

Check in was easy even as a late check in. Room was clean and comfortable and serviced each day. kitchenette had all the essentials. Rooms were a good size and the bed was very comfortable.

A couple of fixtures and fittings looked a bit worn out but nothing that really bothered me. A fraying net curtain and curtain tie back etc. There was a flickering light in the bathroom which was a bit annoying and I couldn't get the shower head to stay in it's holder when switched on the pressure pushed it out and sprayed water all over the floor.l so I had to just hold it while showering. Hot and cold was difficult to balance.

The property was close to main attractions of the city, room was huge with all facilities with a kichenette as in a studio apartment, easy access to the property with a separate unique code provided for self check in and check out.

I had at first booked Palmerston Suites later before my check in I received an email that due to unforeseen circumstances I was being relocated to one of its sister properties - Grosvenor Suites. It was a very nice apartment based just around the corner within 2 min of walk from Palmerston Suites. The property was so good that I could not complain and had a very good stay with no issues.

The room was huge, with a big four-poster bed and two small couches. It’s a lovely old building and didn’t originally have a bathroom or kitchen in the room but both have been built in. I asked for a ground floor room if possible because I’ve been having trouble with stairs lately and luckily there was a cancellation and they were able to accommodate me. The room looked out on the street but it’s a quiet area so that wasn’t an issue.

The sink tap was a bit wobbly in the kitchen and the shower was very small.

Nicely laid out. full kitchen facilities, private bathroom, ironing board & iron. Electrical Sockets next to the bed! Comfy bed. clean towels.

Lack of direction for local car-parking facilities on the website or emails. I called the reception, who suggested we park around the corner. It was £23 for 4 hours! Once we checked in, the receptionist then suggested that we can park at Haymarket station. This is £16 for 24 hours and is only a 5-10 minute walk. The tap on the bathroom sink was broken and barely any water came out, so we had to use the kitchen sink. We mentioned it to reception but were simply told that they knew about it and a plumber was due. The window was broken and, although it lifted, it wouldn't stay open, so we had to prop it open.

The front hostesses were polite and helpful, the late check-in process worked wonders and was accessible. The comfort was as described and quite enjoyable. Nice accommodations and access to cutlery and appliances was quite useful as well.

The central heating was set up to 25 or so and was not controllable from the rooms, making it quite too warm for confortable sleeping. The bins in the kitchen has not been emptied from the last costumers, which does not seem like it should happen. Only one of the windows would stay open, which did not facilitate airing or cooling of the room (see complaint about heating above).

The room was very roomy, bed was large and comfy. The little kitchen was good, with microwave, fridge and electric plates. Tea, coffee, cream and sugar are provided for free and there's a kettle in the room. We had our breakfast in the room, saved a lot by not having to eat breakfast out. Bathroom and shower cabin well sized, with body wash and shampoo provided. It was about 10 mins. walk to nearest tramway station but if one likes to exercise, one can achieve quite a number of steps to get to the town centre. Receptionist was nice and helpful. If coming from the airport, take the Airlink bus (100) to City Center as this has a bus stop near Palmerston Place.

Nothing major, just little things that were easily overlooked and solved

The location of Palmerston Suites was ideal as only a 10 min walk from the nearest tram (West End), bus (Atholl Place) and train station (Haymarket). The room was spacious and it was handy having the kitchenette in the cupboard so we could cook and not stink out the room when cooking.

It was particularly windy and therefore the windows rattled and there was quite a big draft coming through. The sink did not have hot water but as there was a kettle it was not the end of the world. The shower as small and the hot water took a long time to come through

Location is very central and ideal. The kitchen has what you need to provide yourself with meals without having to go out all the time: tow stove plates, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, etc. It was a basement place but very private and quiet. Best part, you enter and you are in the kitchen and then go through a solid door into your room! No listening to hall way noise and even better, no clicking on and off and rattling of the fridge to be heard. Very quiet. Bathroom with very good shower. The room itself is longish but narrow which means the sofa is kind of looking at wall but the TV is across from the bed. Might not be ideal for everybody, but it was just perfect for me. The only little catch is that sitting down with your food at a table is a bit of a challenge. Yet again, if you are just visiting and not planning to live there for a long time, you are way better off than at a lot of hotels. Staff are very nice, diligent, and accommodating. There is free coffee, tea, and milk, but a decaf option would be nice, if at all possible. The bed was a bit too soft for me, but might be just right for a lot of people. The sheets on the bed were probably the best I slept in a long time: very soft, very clean, and NO funny detergent, disinfectant, or any other smell. The same is true for the towels. Both were genuinely exceptional! I would stay there again in heart beat!

nothing really

After some weak reviews this month, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. We received smooth support from reception. The room (no.5, on the ground floor) was clean, light and nicely appointed with two double beds, a sofa and reasonably stocked mini kitchen. The. room was cleaned, tidied and restocked each day. The tv worked and we were able to access Netflix.

One window didn't shut properly but no major problem in this weather.
