The position was very good, and the staff were so customer orientated and kind and helpful. In particular I have to say that Hannah and Chloe were always happy to go out of their way to make sure we got the most out of our stay.
I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. My room could have been warmer the first night (I was in a courtyard room) but one mention from me and I was given a heater and some extra blankets. We stayed at the end of summer/beginning of autumn when the heating wasn’t needed but the nights could get cold, so not a hotel fault. Be aware that the hotel is on top of the cliff with a fairly shallow zig zag path down to the esplanade which was also wheelchair accessible

Our Stay was very good. But not happy with the parking. But that would not stop us visiting again. Overall it was a good stay.
We felt rushed at breakfast, our order was taken for our cooked food, but we did not have much of a chance to get the Continental . I choose a yoghurt but had to leave it as our breakfast came out. We sat on a table of four and one toast rack was put on table which held three slices of toast. We did ask for more and it came. Our Table was being cleared while someone was still eating. Maybe these issues could be addressed. Cooked Breakfast was excellent.

Room was large with a great view. Good to find two easy chairs. WiFi good and easy to use. Breakfast okay but nothing special.
Parking is difficult. We could not book a parking space in the hotel and while there is much on road parking it was all taken on our first drive round. This compounds the fact that the hotel does not serve dinner. Leaving your parking space to drive into town for food could mean there's nowhere to park on return. There is no grab handels in the bathroom to help access into the bath for the shower nor any anti slit mats. We felt this was dangerous. We were also staggered to find that extra payment was required if we asked for an extra egg for breakfast. This is a first for us in a hotel.

Really pleasant room with lovely views overlooking the coast. Very good breakfasts with hot food cooked freshly to order - so much better than the hot breakfast buffet on offer in many hotels these days. Hotel in very nice location (although being up a hill might be challenging to less mobile guests), close to the town centre and a pleasant short stroll through gardens to the beach. Very pleasant and helpful staff and good to have a nice bar to be able to drink and socialise in.
I was aware when booking that the restaurant is not currently open for dinner. However, there is a notice by the main entrance advertising sandwiches etc being available. I think this notice should be taken down as it seems misleading - I was hoping for a light lunch (perhaps a sandwich) one day and was told these were not available.

The location is amazing. This traditional Hotel is situated high above the town with stunning views of the Exe Estuary. Short walk to the beach or town centre. The staff are very friendly and work hard to ensure you have a good experience during your stay. A good breakfast with table service for the hot food. A lovely bar area serving hot/cold drinks and light snacks.
Rooms are a bit dated and do not have any USB points. There is no pavement directly outside hotel entrance, so care needed when crossing the road.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to answer queries and give assistance. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Location of the hotel was great - close to sea and shops.
The sea view from my small window in Room 212 was interrupted by the scaffolding on the adjoining property which was also so close as to invade privacy if the curtains were open. I would have hoped to be told about this before I booked in.... but nevertheless I could still see the sea! The bathroom was very dated (pink suite) but was fully functioning and the overall decor was a little tired. My friend in Room 210 was disturbed by constant moving footsteps and chatter from room above and the first night was woken up by this at 4.00 am.

We had an unexpected upgrade to the seaview room on the 3rd floor Room 309! will definitely try to book that room again! The view of the estuary and beach were superb both in the evening with little yachts out on the sea and again to wake up to in the morning with fishermen and boats setting off for the day. Wished we could've stayed longer !
We had an early start so missed breakfast completely. It seems a shame that if ,like us , many visitors have to leave before 7.30a.m. , some simple self service continental style breakfast couldn't be arranged even if a more leisurely Full English takes longer to prepare. However a Kettle for tea & coffee making is available in the room.

The reception staff and the bar staff were very lovely and thoughtful especially when the takeaway orders arrived and somone at the reception would let me know through the phone calls. The view from the bedroom was great too, my mum and I didn't go far because it was raining outside so we stayed in but we can still get to see the seaviews! Room was a bit cold but someone provided extra heater for us before our arrivals. As I have severe anxiety disorder, the hotel helped us to find a room where's really quiet and I love that!
Everything was great! Maybe it would be a good idea that the cleaning staff could keep their voice down a little in the morning so we can sleep longer.

Location is great, staff very nice and friendly, all amenities in the room, great toiletries, sea view, the super breakfast choices, delicious coffee.
Parking at hotel was full, street parking outside ok some days, others was not available. Noisy guests above my room made early sleeps impossible. Not a dislike, but decor and toilet fixtures are a bit dated, and may bother some. I didn't, everything worked and was really clean ;) Restaurant was not available at night (but seemed available for a tour group) so needed planning in advance, specially if travelling alone for business.

Great hotel in a good position. Free parking on the road outside. Some comments on here about it being a little tired etc . . . It is in places, creaky floorboards etc. . . . But the overall experience makes up for it. Would happily stay again. And great value for money, excellent breakfast!!! All the staff were excellent, very helpful. And Exmouth is a lovely place
Not a lot to comment on really, the bathroom was a little in need of a tidy up, but I've stayed in worse places and paid more money!
