All went well, we were offered and took up the offer of food on entering the property, the wife said it was the best duck confit la orange she had ever had. I had a house burger, which in turn was done to perfection. The room was large and comfortable with water and coffee to hand. And comfortable bed
Not necessarily did not like, but the property has no in-house parking as the front of the property is situated on a paved predestine walkway, there is a public car park to the rear of the property which is only four hours, with the overnight parking is a short five minute walk away down the pedestrian way and to the rear of the buildings opposite, find in good weather, but obviously a bit of a bind in inclement rainy weather

The location was good and the pub was lovely. The breakfast was nice and we had a meal in the restaurant which was lovely with nice, attentive staff.
Our room was a delux double but I couldn’t see what was delux other than a big bed. The ceiling in the bathroom could do with a dust, loads of cobwebs! We had a problem with the radiator and the manager looked at us as if we were lying but he must have found something wrong coz it never made the same noise that we were complaining about, he didn’t even come to see us to see if it was/wasn’t fixed!! Perhaps he was worried I’d want a refund, it was never about that, I just wanted a decent nights sleep!!!

We had planned a short break in Faversham to explore the area and visit Canterbury. I booked the Sun Inn because of it's location and reviews. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a big room with a very comfortable king size bed and a large bathroom with walk in shower . Fluffy towels, bathrobes and plenty of little shampoos and cream. It's a historical pub with a lovely atmosphere. We ate both nights in the Pub. The menu choice was good and our plates had been expertly prepared and were very tasty. So too was the breakfast.

The Sun Inn is a fab little pub hotel. We stayed over the New Year break for a friend's wedding and it couldn't have been a better pick. We were right in the middle of town and the room was lovely with an iron and all of the facilities we needed. The hotel restaurant was charming and the food delicious. I whole heartedly recommend a stay!
The main light in the room didn't work and was pretty low, so we kept bashing our heads into it! Other than that the temperature of the room was a little difficult to maintain. Absolutely boiling hot when we arrived! No real issues though, these are only small niggles.

This was a high standard of pub accommodation. We paid 50% more here than the other places on our trip but I'd say this inn was more than twice as good as the first place we stayed. Real charm and character in the pub itself. The room and bathroom were well appointed and I enjoyed a nice bath upon arrival. Plenty of good hot water. Breakfast was good - I asked for porridge which wasn't on the menu and it was a nice big bowlful when it arrived. Husband enjoyed his cooked breakfast. Location is excellent right in the centre of Faversham, a fantastic little town to explore and lots of nice restaurants and pubs including a couple of micropubs/bars to offer variety from the predominant Shepherd Neame estate. Would definitely stay again.
Reaching the top floor through two doorways and up narrowish staircases was challenging with heavy bags. Also, the doors slammed when other guests left early in the morning. Otherwise it was quiet, in spite of facing onto the street below. We had a slight issue with the free wifi. My husband could only connect on his tablet if I wasn't already connected on my phone. So I ended up using mobile data instead. The bed was a little firm for my liking, but the pillows were comfy at least! Parking is not adjacent to the pub but one street away - not far to walk and not too expensive overnight.

The room (a twin) was really nice. The bathroom had a good shower over the bath and was very well appointed. Nice toiletries. Tea and coffee tray was very good. Fresh milk provided. The bar was nice and welcoming. The restaurant area was very nice too. We had dinner and it was lovely. Breakfast was exceptional.
It is an historic building, and the stairs are a little tricky. This was not really a problem on the first floor, but the top floor twin has a very steep flight of stairs to access it. My suitcase was difficult to manoeuvre! Just be aware of this.

The location is amazing, right on a beautiful cobbled street in the centre of town. The pub is a lovely old oak-beamed place with a fireplace, popular but not crowded. The breakfast was very good and the service great too. The room was well equipped with a large TV, hairdryer, coffee/tea. Highly recommend.
Not surprising that sleeping above a pub might involve a bit of noise drifting up before closing time, though this wasn't a big issue for us. Cleaning around the bathtub could have been more thorough, though the bathrooms are spacious and well equipped (including shower/bath products).

What a beautiful place to stay. We arrived and were met with a warm welcome by the owner and given a free upgrade to the beautiful superior double. Stunning interiors, impeccably clean and comfortable. The pub downstairs is charming and rustic, all staff were super helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Expectionally good value for the stay and we were sad to have to leave, when up in the rooms you feel a world away, perfect escapism!
Our only slight criticism would be the television wasn't a smart TV, would be nice to have more selection of channels to watch a film. This is only a minor minor suggestion as everything else was superb.

This pub is a gem in the heart of Faversham. lovely large character pub, with excellent breakfast. we stayed here for my husbands 60th birthday celebration, when we arrived we were told that we had a free upgrade. our room certainly had the “wow factor” with plenty of character. Their was everything you could possibly want in the room. with lovely little touches like mini sewing kit, toiletries and dressing gowns on the bed. we couldn’t of asked for more. staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here .

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The complimentary biscuits and toiletries were a welcome addition. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Faversham. The nearest car park was easy to find and reasonable for a 24 hour stay.
The room was on the warm side where a radiator had been on full, but cooled down quickly once it was turned off and a window was opened.
