It was very clean and tidy Bed linen was fresh Tea making facilities were available.. Breakfast was great and ready when you wanted it. Hot shower ..toiletries supplied .. The reception staff were brilliant too welcoming, well mannered and helpful. It's just over a mile from train station to hotel so literally just over 5 minutes from train to hotel ...you can walk it but we took a taxi it was £7.60 I will definitely be staying there again..

Nothing to unlike

Comfy, safe bed for the night while we were out exploring Newcastle. 24 hour check-in meant we could check in late from doing activities with no problem. Staff were very friendly. Comfy, clean and warm. Great affordable hotel for if you're visiting Newcastle for a day or two. And Netflix on the TV!

The ammeneties were a bit temperamental, toilet seat loose, shower head fell a few times ect but nothing too major. Walls were quite thin but other guests were very respectful and this wasn't a big issue.

I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest option I could find and I wanted to spend a couple of days exploring Newcastle. The price was good and I was very happy with my stay overall. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly, check in was easy and the room was clean and as described. The inclusive breakfast is worth a shout out - it was home-made and cooked fresh each morning and really kept me going for the day. It was basically a full English with coffee. The location was pretty good, I was able to walk into Newcastle each morning, took about 25 minutes and there were a few different routes to choose from (depending on what time of day is was). Parking was free and convenient.

The hallways smelt a bit bad, I think this hotel has had some problems in the past with antisocial behaviour from guests but they seem to be trying to get back on track.

Friendly staff helpful (even if he did wake us up knocking on our door at 07:30 to tell us he told us the wrong times for breakfast and didn't want us to miss it) Very comfortable bed. Breakfast nice. Not too much noise heard from the road either. Good location if you don't mind a little walk. Free parking available. Cheap in price and shows in the standard but great if you just need someone to sleep.

Really needs updating, Bathroom was very run down things broken and loose. shower curtain black in places and a Foul smell coming from somewhere. I had to tune the TV, luckily i knew how. Was in an en-suite Double room but was only provided 1 towel. All in all I'd still return again, As the price and service was good.

Nearly everything was fine apart from a couple of things. The breakfast was really nice. Fine for the price of visit.

The only two things that were not good were the mattress, which you could feel the springs and made it quite uncomfortable to sleep. The other thing was the central heating, which didn't work.

Cheap price including breakfast. Quite well located for Sage Gateshead-20 min or so walk. Very easy to get to from A1. Clean and staff friendly. Parking £3 a day.

It was what I expected, a bit dated but clean and value for money.

Value for money. Excellent hard beds. Showers in corridor for larger person as ensuite shower door was too tight. Excellent TV options including Netflix etc.

A bit rough around the edges but it is budget accommodation. The breakfast, although included, was relatively poor fare.

Location was great for Utilita arena, 6 mins drive friendly staff half decent breakfast

Room was smack bang next to reception and for some reason a load of people decided to congregate in reception making a racket half 6 Sunday morning! Great after a night on the beer

I love the room and the view from the window🥰. The hotel has 24 hours reception and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast is good.

we loved everything about the hotel express, the location the friendliness of the staff and the cleaners, anything you wanted thay went out of there way to help you (thay even let me borrow the hoover when i accidentally spilted a packet of crisps on the carpet our room) we will definitely be back.
