All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a good quality evening meal and the breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, great bed, great shower. I had a very good sleep and a great view of the North East coastline thrown in for free! Overall my stay way exceeded my expectations, initially I booked because the location suited my specific visit and the price was very good, within the band I consider budget. What I found was a very enjoyable stay with everything I would expect in a place that I had paid 30% more for so value for money was outstanding.

I genuinely didn't find anything that I did not like. The staff were all so open, friendly and helpful that I'm confident if I had any grumbles they would have been handled quickly, but I can't confirm that as there were none!

We’ve stayed here before and it was just as lovely as the last time. Staff are always super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice and clean. Food is amazing.

Unfortunately we had booked to come again at the end of the month but I’ve had to cancel the booking due to the mattress giving me a really bad back. I had quite a bad night sleep because the mattress is so springy. I think it’s time they upgrade the mattresses if I’m honest. It’s the only one downside to the whole place 😔

Ver friendly welcome and warm room full assistance offered with bags etc. Great view and parking plentiful. Bottle of water in room something Marriott failed to offer. good wifi

Stair carpet would benefit from a clean but refurb is happening. due to refurb scaffolding spoilt the wonderful view but completely understandable. shower, despite a quality bathroom, was a bit bit feeble however hot and ok just did not match the expectations of the bathroom quality.

Staff are really lovely and helpful. The food is brilliant - recommend the seafood chowder or of course the fish and chips! Great breakfast too. Pub had a nice atmosphere for a couple of evening drinks too. Room was as described - pretty basic but was ok for what we needed. Shower could have been better. Lovely long sandy beach and dunes literally just over the road, perfect for our dog. Great view from our room too. All in all a nice evening and night and deffo would recommend.

Just a little tired in places - but nothing major and more than made up for by great staff, food and pub.

Nicola was very friendly and welcoming. We had one evening meal and two breakfasts, all of which were excellent. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable with lots of space. We were travelling with two large dogs. The staff were all friendly and accommodating towards them and on Sunday morning they were even given a sausage for breakfast, which they loved!

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Room.was beautiful and we had a sea view. Breakfast was great. Just enough to fill you up. Looking to book in the area again and will probably return here. Great value for money.

Nothing really to complain about. Its was all great. Was quite a warm night so maybe the offer of a fan when it's warm but I might be asking a bit much for what we paid.

Everything what a beautiful place to stay staff amazing food amazing room amazing views amazing carnt really put into words we really loved this place & without a doubt we will be back carnt rate this lovely place high enough ❤ every minute we were there. And got to say the fish & chips were the best av had in a very long time 😋 the breakfast my god out of this world & the staff are just amazing just fantastic all round thank yous all made our stay very special.

Food was good as well as sevice esp for evening meal. Location was brilliant with great view and beach for dogs to have a good run

Bed mattress was poor and not particularly conducive to a good nights sleep. Hot night and small windows for ventilation-not much could be done I guess due to age and historical nature of the building

Beautiful location overlooking the sea. The staff were warm and inviting and the room was exceptionally clean and cosy! Breakfast was included and was well presented and flavourful.

Not much on Site parking but the street parking was free and lots of parking space available

The staff were lovely they couldn't do enough for us, and the food was fresh and made to order. Shelley helped us settle in and gave good advice when asked. We're going next year, we couldn't pick fault with anything.
