Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were fabulous, especially Julia on reception. She was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, we stayed for a week and got an upgraded room which was spacious, warm and very clean. We stayed bed and breakfast and the dining room/conservatory was a lovely place to eat. Breakfast was plentiful and a good selection was available. We did eat dinner there a few evenings, first time was delicious, the duck starter and the beef main were delicious, the pudding wasn’t for me as it wasn’t warm enough, but everything else was lovely. We tried the chicken dish and this was nice but I found it a little salty. The cleaner was fab, room looked lovely every time we got back in each day. All staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, just 1.5 miles from Inverness, and it’s a hotel I would definitely recommend and stay in again if I was to holiday in Scotland in the future.
Nothing it was great

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the breakfast in the conservatory is stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful, longer stay, whether for work or relaxation. The food is excellent, and we also enjoyed afternoon tea, which was a wonderful touch. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
The hotel is a bit far from the center (a 30-minute walk), which can be either good or bad depending on your plans. For us, it was great. The area is very quiet, which we really enjoyed, and the walk to the city center wasn’t a problem at all - it’s actually quite beautiful. The city center, on the other hand, can be busy and noisy in the evenings, so the peacefulness of the hotel location was a nice escape.

Couldn't have asked for more. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were all brilliant, friendly and professional from the lady who checked us in (with Molly the dog) to the breakfast staff and the lovely lady who cleaned the room. We asked for an accessible twin room and it was so clean, comfortable and very spacious in the garden annex. Best Scottish breakfast selection - the Lochardil Plate very special. Location great too, very quiet but a very short drive or easy walk into the heart of the city. Hot water went cool very quickly in the shower but hotel was quite busy so maybe we timed showers badly.

Set within a lovely quiet area of Inverness, short drive from City centre, on arrival we were instantly made to feel so welcome with wonderful friendly, attentive staff. We had 2 suites in the annexe, rooms were extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast in conservatory was excellent on all 3 mornings. Christmas Day lunch was amazing, the food was plentiful and of exceptional quality, again all the staff were so friendly and attentive. With hotel being quite small it had a very intimate feeling, felt at ‘home’ throughout whole trip. Staff were the most efficient I’ve ever seen, for a very busy festive period nothing was an effort to them. Special thanks to Michelle & Caleb who’s friendly demeanour and efficiency enhanced our memorable family Christmas. Would not hesitate to return in future.
Requires some minor paint touch ups / carpets cleaned in places.

It was clean and comfortable
I did not take kindly to having a 10% service charge added to my bill , for a service , I had not even received yet, I hadn’t even been served my food , this in my opinion is wrong on every level, should I have been happy with the food and service provided, its then my choice should I wish to give gratuity , gratuity should never be forced on anyone , never mind be added to your bill without consent , this is something the hotel and its staff need to address , gratuity is in my opinion a donation from I to a member or members of staff for a service provided, I paid tax on my earnings and should I decide to gift fiat currency to another , this should be done the correct way, not forced on another and certainly not without one’s consent.

Our room was very large with comfortable seating and a small table to sit by in the evening. The shower room was obviously refurbished ( to a very good standard). The bed was extremely comfortable. We had dinner while at the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was also worth getting out of bed for - freshly cooked. The hotel sits in a residential area with very little near at hand. We had a walk to the River Ness (20 mins) but then another 25min walk to town if you felt so inclined..
No negative comments. Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Good value for a 4 star.

The property was lovely, staff were great, attentive, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.
The only negative was I really booked this based on its appearance and the expected old feel. My room (I didn’t realise when booking) was in an annex built and decorated 20 years ago). The room was comfy, quiet and spacious (so there was nothing wrong), but I had been expecting and was looking to stay in an old old building, with the fire in the lobby etc. so I was disappointed with that but definitely not with the stay and how we were looked after. Also, the breakfast was delicious.

Inverness Lochardil House was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Scotland. We stayed in a family room in the adjacent house. We liked the castle, historic feel and appreciated that it as clean, comfortable and charming. There was a tub and a shower in a spacious bathroom. The beds were comfortable. There were blackout curtains that helped since the sun set so late and rose so early. The service was excellent. We were out touring late one day and the restaurant was closed but they made us the most delicious soup and bread that they brought up to our room to enjoy. It was reasonably close to the airport and train station but far enough away to feel very relaxed. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning in the restaurant. We would definitely recommended anyone stay here. Thank you!
If I had to pick something, the dinner at the restaurant was a little pricey, but for the convenience it was worth it.

Staff were very smiley, friendly, welcoming. My room was comfortable, bed was great, slept well. Tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, bath, nice toiletries, ironing board and iron in the cupboard in room, t.v. Nice view. Peaceful area. Breakfast was tasty. Lots of variety. Lovely old building. Lots of parking, if you are driving. It's a nice walk into town, if you are on foot.
For breakfast, I had eggs benedict on both mornings, one day I got 2 eggs and muffins, the next I got 1. Not sure if they were running out?! I was just a bit confused. No problem, I ate a few pancakes to make up for it. :)

Location is about 5 minutes from city center. It’s also close to many sights near Inverness. Staff went over and above in service: Michelle & Molly ( reception), Andrew, Sam, Margo & Ruaridh (dining). Huge, nicely furnished King room in the newer building (not in the historic part). Very comfortable bed, large attractive bathroom. Quiet, peaceful property in an upscale, residential neighborhood. We opted to enjoy the cozy bar followed by dinner in the glass enclosed restaurant all three nights we were at the hotel. Food was outstanding!
Liked everything.
