This is one of the best-valued guest houses we’ve ever stayed in. It’s single-story, modern and easily accessible. Both Danny and Laura were warm, friendly, and a wealth of information. Check-in was easy. Parking is on the property, which is located on a busy street that leads directly into the historic district of Inverness (a short 15 minute walk). But don’t let the street location deter you. Our bedroom was 30 meters from the street, but we couldn’t hear the traffic from inside the room with the windows shut. We slept like babies in the comfortable bed. On our two-day stay, they replenished our snacks and water. If you need more, there is a grocery store across the street. The guest house is close to the River Ness, which has a walkway that extends the length of the historic city centre. We like to park the car and go, which makes this easy. Overall, the best value on this trip and a place we’d return to.
The only complaint was a lack of plugins (only two) and no plugin in the bathroom. A power bar would be helpful.

Had such a wonderful stay at the guesthouse. Stayed 1 night with my wife on our way to isle of Skye. The hosts made us feel very welcome and treated us as if were visiting family. When they heard that we are on our way to Skye, they shared all the best tips and places to go, as well as the most scenic routes to get there. Also the full Scottish breakfast we had in the morning was just so good and filling. It was very well worth the add-on to get us started in the morning. Really loved our stay there and would love to visit again if we are back in Scotland :)

The hosts Laura and Danny were very sweet and friendly. They went beyond their means to help us find the perfect sightseeing plan. Since it’s not a hotel and as we had such lovely hosts, it felt like home. They made sure we were comfortable. Also the place was perfectly clean and hygienic. The commute from the bus station to the stay was easy as it was just 20 mins walk from Inverness bus station. Would highly recommend it
The only thing that I did not like was the fact that the toilet/bathroom door did not have any locks. The toilet was perfectly clean with other toiletries but it was uncomfortable that it did not have locks

What a great place to stay in Inverness - cozy and comfortable rooms at a convenient location. Easy to reach by car + free parking. The guest house is just opposite a supermarket and at a walkable distance both to the city center and the sea (15-20 min. walk in each direction). We were provided with valuable information about the area and great suggestions on where to go and what to do. There was hot chocolate, coffee, and tea in the room. We ordered breakfast on site - it was fantastic. The hosts were super kind and made us feel at home. All in all, do not hesitate to book this place.

We loved our stay at the Kempts' house. Laura and Danny were wonderful with us, attention to detail, concern for our well-being. Not forgetting Theo and Hugo they are so cute. We stayed 3 nights, and we were only sorry we didn't stay longer. Just a few small details that made our stay even better, every day we had the fan on in the room and a fresh bottle of water waiting for us, because it was so hot and Laura and Danny wanted us to be comfortable in our room. Another example was, when we said , that we were on our Honeymoon, they left us a box of chocolates in our room, so thoughtful. I recommend it 100%. And if you need information for tours in Scotland there are no better people, they gave us lots of tips and places to visit! Try the breakfast, it's divine.

A very warm welcome, brilliant tips on what to see/do and eat in the city, amazing location! Laura went above and beyond to make us comfortable and she was super accommodating when we arrived earlier than expected and even upgraded our room at no extra fee! The room + bathroom were super clean. The bed was comfy too. Would love to stay again and hopefully for longer next time!
Everything was perfect!

All the rooms, 4 of them, were on the first floor or street level. No stairs which was a blessing since we were traveling with seniors. The group elected to start traveling earlier and not not to eat breakfast for we were going to the northern tip of Scotland. The owners were very helpful in giving us directions for dinner and driving through the Scottish Highlands. There was ample parking for the 9 passenger van I was driving that was another blessing. I very well kept hotel and property with beautiful landscaping. The restaurant was close by for dinner and there was a Lidl Store across the street from the hotel.
How can you write something negative with everything so well maintained and the host so friendly and helpful. Great place to say.

Third time at The Kemps and my third different room. All 3 have been clean, nicely decorated and have excellent facilities. Always a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble, especially when it comes to local knowledge, e.g., where to eat, drink, etc., and the location is just a 15 minute walk to the centre of town (although there are plenty of shops, etc., closer than that). I'm usually in Inverness once a year and this is my first port of call when checking availability!

Danny and Laura were amazing in the way they went the extra mile. The information they gave for places to visit we're invaluable. The room and lodgings were really comfortable, allowing a great base to explore the Inverness area. Breakfast was fantastic both days, filled us both up and lasted until dinner time.
Nothing, as first time overseas travellers, it's great to meet like minded people, who enjoy meeting people, and sharing their stories.

Laura was so welcoming when we arrived, made us feel completely at home, taking time to talk us through things. Gave some helpful tips on places to eat in Inverness. We only stayed one night but the room was very comfortable and really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as a hot water bottle, little chocolates and ear plugs! As well as a good array of hot drinks and biscuits! Would highly recommend. Thank you! 😊
