The room I stayed in was very large the bed too which was extra comfortable. Bathroom very clean and modern. Great size tv in my room with coffee and tea facilitys. Breakfast was fantastic great variety. All staff members were great apart from one unfortunately. They really go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. There was a lovely young boy on bar who worked so hard.

Bad points about my room unfortunately. My room was in eves looking onto farm land so only had window open a little due to flys. The room was really hot as we stayed when it was really hot. Fan was provided so unfortunately not hotel's fault. There was an older lady working at breakfast who seemed very grumpy. Maybe she was having a bad day but just seemed a little rude. Ran out of bacon sausage and eggs. But that was because she took them all out of counter onto a plate. One of my party enquired and said oh is that for the rooms. As there was none left she just said no then they waited for it to be replenished which took a little while. If she hadn't of been so grumpy this really wouldn't of made a difference.

Super friendly staff. Very easy to get to just off the main roads from Chester/ Manchester and Liverpool. Lovely gardens Large tv in the room and liked the decor

The path from the car park takes you out into the drive but onto a blind corner for anyone coming from the hotel. My room was directly above reception : valet parking so was noisy late and night/ early morning when guests were leaving/ arriving. Also there was a spotlight directly outside my window which was very bright I had turned my radiators off but there was a hot pipe that ran all around the bedroom which meant it was difficult to get the room cool despite having the window wide open (see issue with noise with this!)

It's a beautiful place to stay. Staff are helpful and friendly and the whole place seemed nice and clean

Apart from the signpost by the car park, there was no other sign to say where the reception was. When we approached the building, a set of French Doors open to what was obviously a wedding (no problem with that, in fact the hotel warned that things could be a little noisy as they often host weddings (in our room we heard nothing). The next entrance had an A frame saying welcome to the wedding of x and y (or similar) and there was no sign saying anything, so that was obviously not the reception - except we found that it was! That said, if that's the worst review I can give.... It's actually one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in!

Lovely property, great size room, good location. Lots of added extras in the room making the stay extra special.

The receptionists were friendly but the waitress who greeted us - or rather didn’t for some time despite seeing us - at breakfast gave the impression we were a nuisance. Coffee took ages to turn up, several food items missing and when asked if there were some more, we were made to feel like we shouldn’t be asking. There was another younger waitress who seemed cheerful but she didn’t come near our table. A few suggestions for the room - more milk please than enough to make two drinks. Great bath but some bubbles would have been nice. Also the cold tap on the bath runs very slowly.

Room was awesome, very large and great facilities. Few cobwebs next to the door to the bathroom but that was it. Didn't eat at the property due to time of check in.

Staff at reception were either apathetic or not there, check out we were stood around for a while wondering if we should ditch the keys and go as no one was around at all. Grounds could have done with a litter sweep, obviously a wedding venue from bottles and half tables dotted around the grounds.

In arrival we hadn’t been allocated the correct room we booked but they were very quick to change it which was great. The decor is a little dated but the room itself was clean and tidy. st the beds were rock hard and so didn’t have a great nights sleep. The location was perfect for what we needed and despite the beds, I would stay here again. The grounds surrounding the hotel are lovely.

Staff were great. Room was very large, well situated TV, mini fridge in room was handy. As we stayed on Christmas Day, we knew nowhere was open but know the area and if staying at another time, there are 2 lovely garden centres nearby and pubs. Hotel had a lovely ambience to it. Now on the mailing list so I can receive information for next year!

We stayed in The Lodge, which is a separate little cottage on the premises and it was absolutely fantastic! It's a spacious, comfortable holiday home and while we only had a short stay, I can easily imagine staying for a longer holiday. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection. Would definitely recommend!

Being dependent on taxis, as we're not driving, can be a bit hit and miss. But no issue with the hotel at all, just something to bear in mind when not arriving in your own car.

Beautiful grounds, staff were lovely and helpful, breakfast was good, room was more than expected seems outdated inside but works perfectly with the venue, town is not far for some lovely food if you don’t want to eat at the hotel

cars parking at the front where it says pick up/drop off only, stiff door when trying to exit to the garden, switches in the room that did nothing, no light near the dressing table so ended up having to take all my make up to the bathroom to get ready

There was a cocktail menu but unfortunately the 2 bar staff in the lounge area didn’t know what the cocktails were or how to make them. Very nice young ladies who did take direction to make a couple. Training is required or don’t offer cocktails. Our room was lovely, clean, well kept, fresh, beautifully decorated ( as was the hotel) the only problem was, the lovely shower was over a jacuzzi bath and so had a big step in and out, very dangerous as no hand rails to help. Very precarious, a real risk for injury. Room 322. easily sorted.
