Karen went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I stayed during a snowy cold spell at the beginning of January and the house was very warm and cosy on arrival. Unfortunately there was a power cut the next morning due to the weather so most of the electricity & lights stopped working but Karen still managed to cook me a full hot breakfast with limited resources. She made sure I had a hot cup of tea before I left for my wedding, too! The whole place was super clean, very homely and a very comfortable place to stay, despite the power cut! Thank you, Karen.

I wanted a two night stay in Knutsford and an easy walk from town and the industrial site. Looked up various but picked Laburnum cottage and booked. Arrived on day and welcomed in by Karl who took me to my room and couldn't have been more helpful. The room and indeed the whole property was not just clean but spotlessly so, Breakfast in the morning was perfect, full English and beautifully served on a plate so hot you couldn't touch it. Over two days i talked often to Karl and wife Karen who were genuine and very welcoming. I will be back next year for the cars service. Perfect stay, thanks both. x

Firstly it's easy to find sign posted well and close to gorgeous country pubs in Kutsford. we went to the Bulls Head (authentic fires and meals really cosy pub with lots of options). Karen upon arrival was so thoughtful and kind. she accommodated everything especially with me being 20 weeks pregnant. we had room 6 which is huge! lots of facilities and a lovely powerful shower. We visted for a concert in Manchester but wanted to be out of the way for the National Trust walks also (Tatton Park is a must). Breakfast was delicious loads of choice and brilliant coffee. Will happily stay again as the couple will go above and beyond and make you feel very at home 😊 Francesca, Martin and Baby bump. xx

Karen and Karl couldn’t have made us more welcome at their charming home. Upon arrival, Karl happily chatted and advised us of recommended places to dine. The property and our room were very well cared for with a very high standard of cleanliness. The proprietors truly care that your stay is comfortable which is evidenced by the great attention to detail eg the bathroom radiator on even though it wasn’t really necessary, all bedding perfectly ironed, bed was so comfortable, beverages and biscuits provided in the room. Karen served us a perfect breakfast. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend Laburnum Cottage.

There is nothing negative. Karen and Karl are both highly committed to ensuring the success of their business and are a great team. Knutsford and the surrounding area is beautiful and the location of the property is close to the centre but allows you to feel you are in the countryside.

Homely, accommodating, had a family feel, really beautiful area, not far from Knutsford or the pubs and restaurants in Mobberley. Friendly, really clean, tidy rooms. TV, WiFi, private bathroom, made to feel at home. Lots of parking out front and lovely grounds around the property. Full English cooked breakfast the morning after our stay as well with a variety of cereals/toast/fruit as well. If you’re travelling the the area or just want somewhere lovely to stay in Cheshire - go for it

Lovely welcoming hosts. Clean and well presented property with everything you need for a short stay. I travelled for a wedding and stayed here on my own. The owners where very accommodating in helping me arrive a little early due to the wedding start time and provided a local reliable taxi service to take me to and from the wedding. The room was very comfortable, including the bed, so all in all a great stay. Sadly I had to leave early so I didn't try the breakfast.

Very friendly hosts & welcoming Great advice for eating out etc. The cooked breakfast was excellent & a good choice of cereals, fruit, yogurts. Would stay again & definitely recommend to friends. A nice touch of shower gel & shampoo in the bathroom for guests who might forget to take their own! Thank you for a wonderful relaxed stay. Lovely to see & speak to the owners who took time to chat & made us feel welcome.

A lovely welcome awaited us. The room (number 5) was spacious. Bed extremely comfortable. Lots of tea and coffee in the room with extra’s available on the landing. Spotlessly clean bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel at the ready. Lovely breakfast with a choice of cereals and yoghurt and freshly cooked breakfast made to order.

The bed was extremely comfortable and large. We had everything we needed in our room. The breakfast was excellent and perfectly presented. The hosts are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We immediately felt at ease from the moment we arrived. It was like home from home.

It might have been helpful to have a small fridge in the room. And a wall mounted magnifying mirror in the bathroom would definitely help a woman applying make up. Would be the icing on the cake 😊

Really modern, clean and in a gorgeous location with very friendly relaxed owners. Plenty of private parking and has everything you could need including shower gel/shampoo/hair dryer/coffee and tea supplies. Breakfast was prompt and delicious, shower was great - a really lovely place!

Only thing I may add would be black out blinds as although the curtains were good quality, the room still got quite light at dawn. Could still hear the planes going over, but well insulated from the sound by double glazing. Could be more of an issue in hot weather with the window open, but a fan is provided.
