The hotel had a very relaxed comfortable feeling, the staff were very helpful and supportive , the rooms were very well presented , I slept very well. The food was delicious my dinner was lovely and the breakfast was very good.
The only thing which we found negative was the heat in the rooms on the front my daughter and her husband were unable to cool the room , when the staff were informed the only suggestion was they could have another fan ? Re circulating hot air doesn’t cool the room

Location is great and good to have electric vehicle charging in hotel car park. There is usually a non EV car parked here but I think it is staff and they will move if you ask. Lift was not working but thankfully this did not affect our party but could have been an issue for those with mobility issues. Food was excellent and rooms are nice and spacious. Great sea views whilst having a drink and staff are very well trained and attentive. Gardens are small but immaculately kept and worth a stroll around. Bed is comfortable. Ghost room was class and atmospheric. Game of Thrones door to restaurant is really cool.
Non EV car parked in EV charging spaces. Lift not working. Pillows a bit like marshmallows and not very supportive. No emailing list for offers.

The location is spectacular along the coast in a sparsely populated area, yet conveniences are just a short drive away. A sandy beach out the front door. Wonderfully kept grounds and garden paths inside the castle walls. A well kept original castle tower turret room with an ancient haunting story.
Aside from the exterior surfaces of the bawn, and to a lesser degree the interior and exterior of the castle tower, the restorations and modernizations have mostly white-washed away the original character of this 17th century castle leaving the interior to look like a modern upscale hotel. I wished they would have done more to preserve the original finish characteristics of the dining hall and other historic buildings as well.

Hotel was beautiful and the game of Throne theme throughout was fab! Room was huge, bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was great. All was spotless. The staff made our stay, we went for a couple of days break and to watch the Cheltenham races, the bar staff were brilliant both days (Even remembered on the 2nd day and offered to put the TV on correct channel for us). Restaurant and reception staff again were fabulous and always remembered us from small things like adding on breakfast last minute the 2nd day and not having to even re tell them our name/room number. The food was also amazing! Grounds are also lovely, garden at the back with the river walk. Brilliant, will be back!
Can't fault anything at all except I didn't know there was a 'ghost room' we could go in and see until I got home (Will have to return just for this!)

Everything. It's one of our favourite hotels to stay at. The food is amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly. The views are absolutely stunning. Really recommend a sea view room and breakfast overlooking the water in the morning is a must. Don't forget to order the sticky toffee pudding! It's unforgettable and for the brave you can pay a visit to the Tower room and say Hello to the ghost. Will definitely be back again.
Everything was great except the toilet was very low but that's only because I have mobility issues and it was low for me. Apart from that I can't think of anything to complain about.

The breakfasts were extremely good as were the evening meals. Very well prepared mainly with good quality ingredients and well presented with a great ambience in the restaurant. The room was very comfortable with a great bed which made for a peaceful nights sleep. The en suite was well stocked with very good quality Evra toiletries.
The restaurant wine list is limited and the Seafood "Chowder" was actually a very thin fish soup heavy on smoked fish but no other seafood. Lots of quartered potatoes and some green bits to bulk it up cheaply, give that one a miss. I understand that it is a historic building and they often suffer from plumbing issues because they were not built to facilitate modern demands but there was very poor water pressure in the shower and I had to turn it off before I had finished because the shower tray was full to the top due to very slow waste.

Very clean, lovely large room, beautiful bathroom
We arrived for breakfast 30 mins before it finished and several of the cooked items were finished or very tired looking. Staff said they could cook some to order but would take 10-15 mins. We didn’t want to wait so just had what was available. It was delicious but it would have been good to have had other items too

Staff were wonderful. There were a couple of stains on the duvet cover in the room I booked (it happens from time to time!), but they remedied it immediately and gave me a different (upgraded) room and it was lovely. Very clean and very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view. It was great to see the historical aspects of the property and to sit and have a drink beside a real fire in a comfortable chair. I also ate at the restaurant and it was delicious. I would absolutely stay here again, because it’s clear staff take pride in their jobs and in providing a wonderful experience for guests.
The only thing that I found a bit challenging was that my room was on the cool side, but it’s probably because my room was switched. I turned some heat on but with the warm covers it was a perfect temp for sleeping anyways.

Everything. The check in was quick and the receptionist very helpful and friendly. Food in restaurant delicious (had Steak) and chips, best I've ever tasted. When we asked for toothpicks from waiter he got us some, and that's a bonus nowadays as very few eatiers have them. Could fault nothing. Rooms were big and very clean. Beds were comfortable, but the biggest asset was there was no noise from our nearbouring guest although there were occupancy on both sides, you could hear nothing, no mumbling from chat or anything. Overall our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend it to other travellers who are wanting a base to see Antrims famous Glens.

Beautiful location. Comfortable rooms.
The Restaurant experience. There were 6 people in our group. 4 were pleased with their evening meal, 2 weren't. The hotel made a concession by refunding the cost of 2 starters. I was disappointed with my meal but did not send it back as this was a celebratory reunion and I considered it would put a dampener on the occasion. I stayed in Ballygally on Valentine's night in 2023 and my meal was superb. Hopefully this was only a glitch. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection on offer. However not sure if I would stay here again.
