Comfortable room with a fantastic view over the racecourse. Midday checkout meant we were able to watch the first two races from the room- in the warm! Sauna and pool lovely, not too busy and good temperature. Overall good stay, would return, and use the golf course too

Weak shower, not overly hot. Cracking/ damp above the shower unit gave a scruffy feeling. Champagne glasses and cutlery also left outside a neighbouring room for the 24 hours that we were there. No staff thought to pick up, even when room cleaning had been present along the corridor. Steam room was on and seemingly working with the door ajar, but had an out of order sign on the door. Pool towels also felt thin/old

Met our needs, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice size rooms, comfy bed. Nice to have Spa facilities on site and included in the price. Had a room overlooking the race course which was good. Ate in the restaurant in the evening. Service was good and food was nice. Breakfast was lovely as was the Maitre D Calix.

Balcony door didn’t close properly which amplified the overhead jets from Gatwick Airport. Did report it. Spa facilities not everything was open and working, pool steps broken (reported) and area not as well attended as could be e.g. no water or cups in the water cooler and towel return overflowing.

We booked this hotel for one night as meeting family in the area and because of having a swimming pool for our grandson. Swimming pool area was very quiet and we did enjoy our evening and morning swims. Beds were comfortable and walking in shower very good. Breakfast was exellent, plenty of choice and staff very helpful.

There was nothing to dislike exactly, but rooms are very dated and dingy and in need of brightening up. The swimming pool area also needs a revamp , didn't seem a place you would like to linger.

The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Calixte Chery at breakfast, what a wonderful asset he is to the hotel! On check in the lady was lovely and since I became a member we got a free room upgrade which was a lovely start, also meant we got to watch the horse racing from our balcony which was a treat!

The bedding was clean but didn’t smell particularly fresh and the beds were not made after housekeeping came the second morning nor was the bin in the main room emptied, I did feed this back to front seat and they were very receptive so hopefully just a one off.

We absolutely loved the pool and the fact that pool towels were provided. The breakfast surpassed our expectations as each and every member of our party was well impressed. The hotel was easy to find, ample parking, helpful staff, comfortable rooms and very clean.

We did request that our rooms be close together yet were given one of the first floor and one on the third. We also requested one room with one double bed and two singles and one room with a king sized bed. The rooms we received both had two double beds - neither one as requested - which meant that we re-organised our party to better suit the rooms. No explanation to this change was given and we were rather disappointed by the false advertising of the beds promised.

Really lovely clean room with a nice view, all the staff was friendly and welcoming in the bar, reception and restaurant. I would definitely recommend the breakfast as it was amazing and there was loads of choice. Such a beautiful place to visit and I would love to stay again.

The only thing I would fault is that I messaged the hotel in advance and asked if they could just add something to acknowledge it was my mums birthday, like maybe a card, just something small, but they could only send a celebration menu to add any extras. My mum is very disabled so there wasn't anything on the celebration menu that I could buy extra for mum. Just a small personal touch would have been nice as I was surprising her.

Striking property, nestled amongst the race course. The staff were welcoming and very happy to assist us in our requirements. The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with toiletries, and tea/coffee/bottled water in the rooms. The bed was very comfortable and provided us both with a good nights’ rest. There were continental and hot breakfast options available, with a good selection of hot and cold drinks alongside. Staff were very friendly and helpful with our queries. We were able to make good use of the small pool for a pre-breakfast swim. Would recommend this property.

Visible signs of wear and tear within the room and pool area. It’s a shame the spa facilities are no longer available at the property, but this was not a deal breaker for us. Being so close to the airport, noise is something to consider for those who may be sensitive, though the property was lovely and quiet at night.

Room spacious, clean, warm & comfortable with excellent shower and bathroom facilities. Front desk knowledgeable and polite. Returning from Christmas Day breakfast a small gift was apparent hanging on our door - festive and thoughtful.

As we were shown to our table, staff asked if we wanted a starter. The table was only laid for main meal. Replied we would look at the menu, staff grudgingly brought extra cutlery. The wine was overcharged on the bill by £10.00, no apology was given to rectify. Breakfast tables lacked all cutlery needed and none available - had to ask staff and given from closed drawer. When collecting breakfast items coffee cups were cleared from the table. Breakfast pastries were stale.

The Lingfield Marriott is a lovely hotel with friendly, welcoming staff. My room was huge, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The ensuite was immaculate with a good range of products. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of hot and cold options to choose from. Free use of the hotel pool, gym and spa facilities made the hotel exceptional value for money. The facilities were clean and welcoming, especially after a long day in London. I will be returning to the hotel in November and look forward to my stay.

The only downside was that I could feel the springs in the mattress. A mattress topper would remedy that, just a minor issue.

The bar and restaurant are very nice with a nice light bright feel there is also very nice seating outside right next to the race course which is great. The evening meals in the restaurant were very nice and breakfast had a good choice and the hot food was very good. The rooms were a good size but we found our room to be very warm even with the temperature control turned fully down to the minimum so there must have been a fault somewhere

Room was far too warm and one of the lamps in the room did not work. Many parts of the spa were no longer open or being serviced just leaving the swimming pool sauna and steam room as the only options
