The location was great, perfect for what we required and away from the business of Liverpool itself, just £4.45 on the train for a day return to Liverpool. Also right next to the beach and a big lake for water sports. The staff in the Lake House were so nice, friendly and could not be more kind and warm and helpful. Other reviews said this a lot and it's very true. Infact, this was a general theme about the people in the Liverpool area, all really kind and friendly. The staff were really approachable and when we asked to move rooms we were not made to feel like we were a nuisance! The food in the restaurant was really nice too. Its dog friendly and nice to see lots of dogs around. The rooms themselves are larger than many hotel rooms and spacious with new modern decor, nice colours and themes. The bathrooms are also large and spacious.

The first room we had looked out on another part of the building where work was taking place so we didn't have a view of outside. We were also over a fitness studio, which was noisy early evening. The staff kindly agreed to let us move rooms and our second room had a better view and was equally spacious. The hotel could do with more soundproofing as you can hear a lot of noise from other areas (gym/studios/outside and neighbouring rooms.) I gave it an 8/10 but if the sound issues were minimised, I would give it an absolute 10/10 as everything else about the place was excellent.

we received a warm and friendly welcome from excellent front of house staff. The room was spotlessly clean, of a good size and the bed was very comfortable. there was a large car park just outside the hotel which was very convenient. We had a snack lunch then dinner in the evening and the food was excellent. Breakfast the following morning was the best I have had for years. The key asset at this hotel is the staff. Both front of house and back office are totally customer focused and it showed in every aspect of our stay.

the excellent staff made sure there was nothing to dislike at this hotel.

We particularly like the room size, the minimalist style, the large picture windows and views, accessibility to the car park, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, and the great food.

We didn't like that there was no toilet lid, which is really unhygienic. Also the fact that the shower was crammed into one corner of the really large bathroom, and the disabled adaptations are in the way of those without need for them. Totally appreciate they're there for those who do need them, but maybe they're not needed in all rooms - or they should be placed better. Great size bathroom though.

Breakfast & main meal was really nice, good choices available. Friendly, helpful staff with quick service. Hotel was very clean with a kids play area outside & a lovely decking area overlooking the lake. Room was a good size. Thank you.

Food was good. We ordered the fish & chips which was really nice, served quickly & again very friendly, helpful staff. if I was being picky maybe a little more choice of main meals & the ketchup didn't taste like ketchup that was the only thing I would change.

The room was big with a big bathroom.. very clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The restaurant staff were so very friendly.. The hotel is in a great location for the beach and visiting Liverpool.

Quite noisy at times outside due to the car park, plus you could hear people's TVs... this woke us up. Pillows was very hard. Make sure you ask for the Conference room wifi password, the public WiFi didn't work and mobile reception wasn't great there. The TV wasn't connected to WiFi. So couldn't stream.

The location was perfect, a 10 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute uber into the centre of Liverpool, but far enough out so you get peace and quiet. We had a lake view which is lovely first thing in the morning.

Everything was pretty much perfect, rooms are massive, bathroom too, staff are lovely and parking is very easy, however the term "lake view" is technically correct but we were in the end room and the "lake view" was acute and not much of it, this is only a mirror imperfection.

The hotel was in a nice location it was very clean and comfortable We choose the triple room with sofa. I went down and asked reception if they can bring up some bedding for the sofa bed within 5 minutes the lady not only brought up the bedding but also made up the sofa bed as well Was very pleased with the service we received indeed

The restaurant looked really nice but the only downside was not a lot of choice from the menu if you want to stay for evening meal but I would still stay at this hotel again there are many restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the hotel

Amazing staff, excellent location and very very clean. The room was perfect and extremely comfortable! The food was to die for, and the bar area was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.

Nothing! Only comments we could make are that the doors were quite loud and slammed whenever they closed… this meant we were sometimes woken up very early! Also some information with Wi-Fi code etc would be useful, although we never ended up asking for the Wi-Fi password anyway!

Nice stay at The Lakehouse. Lovely large room (5) very clean, great comfy bed & pillows. Lovely warm welcome from Hayley on check in & extremely helpful with options to eat in restaurant or even allow take-ins if wanted. Bar there if just wanted a drink. Good location for Anthony Gormleys installation (10-15 minutes walk max to beach). Also handy similar walk to high street (which had a few restaurants & a Weatherspoons) and Waterloo Metro station which took us into Liverpool Central.

nothing, maybe wouldn’t opt for lake view room.

The stay at The Lake House was like a wonderful deep breath in the midst of a mad Eurovision week. Amazing staff (thanks Eliot and Isobel!), fantastic food in the restaurant/cafe and phenomenal location next to Crosby beach. It was just a £12 uber from city centre. Loved it!

Was allocated a room overlooking the roof and air-conditioning so not a great view - and work was taking place on the roof so it was a little noisy in the mornings. I'm sure this is just temporary though!
