Nice friendly staff and a lift as my mum is disabled. Lovely breakfast with a huge variety, both English breakfast and continental.

On arrival I couldn't get on the car park with my disabled mum and had to leave my car a long way away. Then go and try and find it about 9 pm. All very upsetting as have to take a lot of accessories for .my elderly, disabled mum now.

This is a beautiful Hotel in a prime location on Llandudno sea front . I stayed over New year for 2 nights & as a single female traveller felt safe & was very well looked after during my stay . The staff were super professional even under the duress of being exceptionally busy due to the holidays & I was made to feel very welcome from beginning to end of my stay . I had a sea view room , a twin & I was thrilled at its size . The beds were super comfy , the room was spotless , great bedding & towels . Lovely well stocked tea tray with extras like water . The restaurant was stunning as was the foyer & honestly the breakfast was superb . The staff from front desk , house keeping & Dining rooms were superb . Like a well oiled machine . This is not far off being a 4 star hotel . I for one would stay again & in fact I had such a good time that I would have stayed on if I could . The views from the restaurant were stunning . The menus look exciting & fresh and if I could have done I would have booked in but they were fully booked with it being new year . There was a minor issue with my room on arrival I was given a courtesy coffee & upgraded . A really superb stay . Thank you to all at The Esplanade .

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and location is amazing. Drinks tray in room was much appreciated. Views from the room were amazing, we did book a see view. Amazing value for mum for a quality hotel. We will be vising many more times, thanks.

The only thing we didn't like was how difficult it was to find. We knew where it was but when we got there there was a large sign saing the goat restaurant but we couldn't see an hotel sign. It wasn't until the 3rd time we walked oast the beautiful frontage to the goat resteraut thar we saw a door on the end and when you bend down you can see the hotel name. It's needs to be bigger, you need to be proud of your hotel. Bathroom door handle was loose but was soon put right by maintainance.

My husband had an accident when there, resulting in a trip to A&E, as he had a large gash on the top of his head, the staff were great, first the night porter who phoned for assistance, That was Anna who phoned for ambulance and then spoke to 111 service for us, Tony who arranged breakfast when we got back from hospital and Claire in reception who when hadn't seen us from when we got back until following morning arranged for Tony to bring us some breakfast in room as we didn't feel up to going downstairs. Everyone was helpful and made what could have been a terrible holiday into one that we enjoyed in the end. They couldn't do enough for us, and the accommodation was very good, clean and well decorated would definitely recommend.

Very enjoyable stay in an excellent hotel. Parking was available at the rear of the property and the hotel is located on the promenade and convenient for the town centre. We had dinner at the hotel twice, food was very good and service excellent. Breakfast had a good menu. Room was overlooking the beach, clean, tidy and quiet. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

room configuration meant the bed had no bedside lights. Reception supplied us with 2 rechargeable lights as used in the restaurant which helped.

Check in for very swift and efficient and the male receptionist was extremely helpful and professional We were given a family room but the door had a large gap at the bottom, so I went to reception immediately and spoke to the female manager , who was so lovely and friendly and then gave us a choice of 2 other rooms. Parking was free with quite a few spaces and with easy access to the hotel at the back. Breakfast was included in our booking . A very helpful young man waited on us and he was extremely helpful. The food was delicious with a variety of choices, I would definitely stay here again as the location was just perfect.

The hotel rooms were in need of some improvements and were not of the same standard as the reception/restaurant. That area is first class but the rooms were more basic . The main issue was there was a large gap at the bottom of the door in the first room we were shown.

The breakfast was the only thing that let the hotel down. The menu says continental, but there was only a little bit of fruit left ( a bag of thawed frozen fruits) and some prunes on our first morning, we did mention this to the waitress and she kindly came out with some fresh strawberries and raspberries, the second morning there was no fruits or yogurt, there was a few prunes again we mentioned this and the waitress came out with some strawberries for my Mum, but sadly no yogurt, on our third morning there was yogurt and dates, just a bit disappointing. The hotel reception and The Goat restaurant are beautiful.

The breakfast.

Lovely hotel, currently being re decorated very tastefully. Great location opposite the life boat launch point, only a few minutes walk from the pier, shops and tourist attractions, opposite the beach and promenade. Room was very clean and tidy as was the whole hotel. Comfortable beds, beautiful view of the bay and pier. Breakfast was nice, what you’d expect really but all freshly cooked to order as opposed to buffet style (except the continental which you can help yourself to). All staff were polite and helpful. I had an issue with something unrelated to the hotel, but the lady on reception couldn’t do enough to help me to resolve my problem, which I’m really grateful for.

So this is me being really picky and didn’t really have much of an impact on our stay. as we’d had a superior twin it maybe would have been nice to have a comfy chair by the window as the views are so nice, it would have been nice to sit comfortably to enjoy them, maybe moisture or hand/body lotion would also have been appreciated (as there’s only soap and a hair/body wash. We could have done with a bath towel and a hand towel each rather than just a bath towel each. The first morning they had run out of yogurt and mixed berries so it made the continental breakfast even smaller as it’s only the choice of the usual cereals or a couple of pastries anyway. As I said these are just nit picks.

The location was ideal for sea views etc, the hotel decor was really nice (think it has recently been refurbished). The staff were really friendly and helpful (apart from one, see comments below)… and overall we had an enjoyable stay with friends, and it was good value.

Our room (202) was a little difficult to find, up and down stairs from the lift. The breakfast offer was unclear, we agreed to pay £16 per person as we arrived, but when we tried to order Eggs Benedict, we were told that it wasn’t part of the breakfast menu for guests? We could only order it if we walked in off the street as a member of the public??? Odd to say the least. All the staff were really pleasant apart from the cleaner when we first arrived at our room, she was very abrupt and was quite rude. (We did mention this to Reception and they apologised) The saxophonist in the Restaurant at dinner was a bit loud (difficult to have a conversation with our friends).

The esplanade is in a fantastic position and having a car park was fabulous. Downstairs where they've had a remodeling is beautiful. Staff are pleasant and friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

We travelled with our 5 year granddaughter. In the evening we came down the bar for a drink but because its ran more like an up market restaurant we felt in the way and not welcome as a family. The staff were pleasant but the other guests looked and stared and made us feel unwelcome . We sat outside but only had one drink due to feeling uncomfortable. I think maybe another more family friendly bar / room would have mafe our stay ideal !
