Friendly staff at check in

The toilet in our room hadn't been flushed. There was shampoo but no conditioner (which seemed unusual in hotels). I would have expected a Nespresso (or similar) coffee machine for the price, rather than instant coffee sachets,

The hotel is only a 2-minute walk from Southwark Station. I was checked in by Tatiana, who was very helpful and kind. I asked her if there were any free upgrades available, and she upgraded me to an executive room. We were very happy with the room, it was a shard view room and very clean with all facilities and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was also very nice, although it would have been nice to have some halal options. The pool and sauna were amazing and very relaxing.

The only thing I didn't like is the fact that you have to go to reception just before your booking to get the access card to use the pool. It would be nice to be able to go to the pool straight from your room. The price is also a bit too high.

The hotel was at an excellent location, super close to underground station, couple of nearby supermarkets, a few restaurants and coffee shops and it was even possible to get to the city center by walking (around 25 minutes). The hotel facilities are really nice. The superior room is spacious, and has a large bathroom, a minibar and a kettle, and there was a beautiful view from the window. The hotel reception staff was extremely nice and kind, provided an exceptional service!

The cleaning room service could be better. We were out of shower soap and no one replaced it with a new one for the whole week even thought we had a daily room cleaning. They also didn't put more coffee and we had to ask the reception to get us more. We even found a few items of previous guests under the bad meaning they haven't cleaned there for a while. In addition, the breakfast was overpriced. Overall those minor things could be better but it is possible to look aside and say that this is a great hotel!

The best impression is about the host Giuseppe who was exceptionally nice. Outstanding performance. Makes the guests fell really welcome! The hotel location is perfect! Close to tube, close to many sightseeing places. The pool presence is a good add-on. Room and bathroom size is good.

Despite the room was cleaned carefully, the table was not cleaned for some reason. By cleaning I do not mean making an order. But for example, stains from glass of juice or cookie crumbs were not cleaned from the table.

An absolutely perfect location for exploring London. Incredibly close to the Shard, London Eye, London Bridge and Westminster - With excellent connections to the Underground and the National Rail. Our room was very comfortable and pool were lovely. The restaurant served delicious food on both occasions we ate, once in person and once as room service. Hotel Staff went above and beyond to assist us, especially the Wonderful Reception Staff even helping us secure an early check-in for our very tired toddler daughter after an early flight. We cannot thank them enough! And we will definitely stay again on our next visit 🙂

The phone in our room didn't work .but otherwise all was perfect

We chose the Novotel Blackfriars for it's perfect location. The bonus was the staff were excellent and I congratulate them on their first class, 5 star customer care. They paid attention to every detail and nothing was too much trouble, always done with a warm smile and energy. They clearly wanted us to have an enjoyable stay and we certainly did. The children felt very special. Our room was superb. Our breakfast ( and evening meal ) was excellent as were the staff and the service they gave. Assistance was given to us when leaving to make sure we had a taxi to the train station. We would highly recommend Novotel Blackfriars to anyone wishing to stay in London. We did thank the reception staff for the excellent service we had received by everyone during our stay.

We cannot think of anything that we did not like. Everything was perfect thank you.

The only negative point is in the bathroom, there was mold on the silicone in the shower, but I don’t mean the bathroom wasn’t clean.

Great London hotel in a great location, within short walking distance of the Southwark and Waterloo stations. Spacious and modern rooms, with great hotel amenities, especially the pool and sauna. The breakfast was also a great value since kids eat free. We didn't plan on the breakfast, but we were able to add it on, and we enjoyed every day of our stay!

Everything was great at this hotel, so there's no improvements I could recommend. The location, cleanliness, modern quality, and staff attentiveness and professionalism were all top notch.

Room was a good size for 3 of us, location was great and very close to Southwark Underground Station, and a 5 minute walk to Waterloo Station. This was our first visit to London and found this location to be really good, walking distance to London Eye, Westminster, Big Ben, Borough Market and the Shard. We walked as far as Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden from the hotel relatively easily. A good selection of eateries and cafes within the hotel area too.

We had breakfast in the hotel on our last morning before leaving for the train, and it was plentiful, with a good selection on offer at a buffet style breakfast....but at £21 per person I found this quite expensive

Reception check in lovely Italian Man( sorry forgot his name)…position ….Great Breakfast.

Asked many times(e-mails, calls) to order champagne for room( my wife’s 50th… Gave up trying …. THEN 1 hour after checking out after 2 night stay received e-mail asking…my Wife’s name so they could order a card, cake etc!! 😂😂… sweetener in room( first night) not replaced..( I am diabetic).. so none for coffee…..two waters first day one the second…called reception several times to order breakfast no answer at all…expected better
