Very well maintained facilities. We used the pool and sauna daily. The room was immaculate and the view was to die for. The location, close to borough market and London bridge station, was also wonderful. I especially enjoyed their WhatsApp concierge. You can ask for help anytime with a text message and all can be arranged for you.

5% discretionary cleaning fee daily… it should be free in a 5 star hotel.

It’s a tremendous deal in living such a fabulous, convenient, glamorous and beautiful place.

Bath tub is too small for 2. But the view is wonderful. If it’s changed to a Jacuzzi that will be terrific.

The views

The views from the hotel are phenomenal! On the 43rd floor our room had views of the Thames, eye of London, st. Paul's Cathedral and much more! Location is excellent being right next to London Bridge metro and train station it's easy to get around London. The staff were also fantastic and always around to answer questions and help out when needed! It was also soo lovely to have a bathtub with such a fantastic view! It was hard to leave! Will certainly be returning!

The pillows were not very comfortable. Even the firmest pillows offered were quite soft and didn't make for a great sleep. The switches in the rooms were numerous and keeping which does what straight took a couple of days to get right!

Room had a good view from the bedroom and the bathroom and was located next to London Bridge Station. Plenty of room to move and lounge around.

The bathroom sink area was a bit cluttered where it was positioned. Whilst the room had good views, it was spoiled by the dirty windows. Thankfully the windows were cleaned on our second last day (so it was probably luck of the draw) however there was one window in the bathroom left untouched. Whilst that didn't take from the main view, you can't help but notice it when you look out the side. There was this thing that we noted with the hospitality staff (bar and restaurant) and that is that you would struggle to get a smile or a good morning or something out of them. Either stuffy or miserable. we couldn't work it out so we gave up.

Be in no doubt, the Shangri-la is as much tourist attraction as it is hotel. Staff were very friendly at reception upon checking in. Delighted with the complementary upgrade & that first sight of the city does not disappoint. Nice comfortable big bed but pillows were a bit miserable! Great big bathroom & good shower. The breakfast was top class & was everything we were after. Staff again were great, seating us by the window without us asking & willing to have chat. As an experience, it's fantastic but given the price it really is special occasions only I'm afraid.

Putting TV right in front of the main view was a bit of a design flaw! Not having additional pillows & having to call down for some was a hassle. That being said, they were very nice about it. The sneaky optional service charge on check out. You need your wits about you, or you'll end up paying more! There is not much the hotel can do, but some guests' behaviour left a lot to be desired.

Everything was great, location, perfect.

Lovely room and lovely facilities. All clean and spotless. Lots of nice touches to help celebrate my husband’s birthday. The cake was a nice surprise. Bed was comfy and bath with a view was fantastic! As you would expect for 5 stars. All the staff were very helpful and attentive. If something was not ok - you just needed to let some

Some of the windows were a bit hazy - you are there for the view (and pay for it) so that was disappointing. Breakfast was just ok - usual buffet fair. For the price I would expect piping hot and fresh. There was a good selection however. The Breakfast Tea wasn’t great - not hot enough. I’m sure they would have changed it had I asked.

The sky pool was ship at short notice which was one of the key selling points when booking the hotel.

The hotel was stunning. The hotel and reception staff were incredible, I brought my now fiance here for two nights to propose, the way the hotel looked after me with upgrades and little treats I will forever be grateful The food in oblix restaurant was the best food I have ever had! The fiance loved the cocktails! Also if you like to gym and spa, WOW!! Overall a magical weekend and a perfect hotel!
