Was close to the town centre yet quiet. Paula and Tom were fabulous hosts. They had lots of recommendations on where to go and what to see. The bed was very comfortable and there was a little pot of biscuits along with tea and coffee in the room. Paulas breakfast was stuff of legends and Toms service was always with a smile! We would certainly recommend a stay here and would choose Schooner Point when next back in Looe.

The slight downside was that there wasn’t parking DIRECTLY at the property and if your car is your baby (as with my other half )then he was a little concerned about leaving it in Millpond car park. But reality there are many places in Cornwall where you can’t get a car to , let alone park in front and there was parking within 5 minutes walk so it’s a comment only As with many locations in Cornwall there are a few steps to climb so keep luggage to a minimum!

Breakfast was faultless and I've worked in top class hotels... Really tasty and perfectly cooked with fab extra options like pancakes with maple syrup and bacon or eggs Benedict with salmon. The room was great and fab bathroom. Hosts were absolutely wonderful.

The TV made a crazy loud buzz out of the blue when watching late one evening - we were worried it may have disturbed others. Sorry - forgot to say this on departure day as preoccupied with news of family illness. The arrival instructions for those coming by car could do with a tweak and a couple of pictures. Took us a bit to work out where it was - up a footpath high above the road and no stopping - and a postcode for spots to either pause and unload or to pull up at the back would be helpful. If unloading at the back it wasn't clear how to then come to the front to check in - involving lugging bags down then back up hill again.

We had a two night stay and it couldn’t have been better. Visited many local places - Looe island and the nature reserve, local caves, Bodmin jail and steam railway. Paula and Tom were excellent at knowing where to go with little bits of local information only the locals would know! The breakfast was amazing and we’d definitely recommend the hogs pudding (and the baked beans!). The house is so clean and you ca lm tell that Paula and Tom take pride in offering an excellent service. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Paula and Tom are amazing hosts. They are very friendly and welcoming. The house is in a lovely location with an amazing view. They also provide board games and books in case you just want to chill in the room. It has a few steps to get to the house and it is a bit uphill, but it just adds up to the vibe and the hiking (: The house is very close to the town centre and you can walk everywhere from there. The most amazing part was the breakfast. They gave us several options and the portions are very well served. All the food had very good quality and was very fresh. Paula and Tom cook everything themselves and it makes the taste much better and fresher. Would definitely recommend and come back!!!

A very handy location easy to get into town, a lovely friendly and welcoming couple, great breakfast (cereal, fresh fruit, choice of cooked/specials). Parking nearby, but weirdly costed circa £10 per day but a maximum of £25 per week), I think this is an issue with many B&B's in the area. We were in a back room, so there are maybe better views and larger rooms (?) overlooking the estuary.

Room size could be a little larger, but the ensuite was very spacious.

From the moment I arrived Tom and Paula were fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely friendly. Their guest house is lovely and was like a home away from home. Breakfast was cooked from scratch and there was lots to choose from. They were very knowledgeable about Cornwall and if I was stuck for an idea of where to go they gave ideas and honest opinions of places. Looe itself is beautiful and despite the very wet and windy weather was well worth visiting. All in all I highly recommend Schooner Point Guest House and I hope to return very soon.

An excellent place to stay. Close to the town, which is just a five minutes walk away, with excellent views. I was travelling by public transport so the location was especially helpful. Comfortable bed room which was spotlessly clean and well equipped with tea, biscuits etc. Massive bathroom with everything clean and working well. Nice shower! Unusually for such locations slippers and a bathrobe were provided. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options. The home made baked beans were out of this world. Highly recommended.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect for me. I can't comment on parking as I arrived by public transport, however the property is up a bit of a hill with a sloping pathway leading up to it which may not be ideal for some guests.

The hosts were very friendly and polite. The bed was very comfortable. The view from my room was lovely too. Breakfast was excellent. Also the private separate bathroom was lockable. The seating at the front had nice view down the valley

Nothing to dislike at all. Would not be suitable for less able as lots of steps though. Also the road outside is very busy and as there is a bad bend need to be very careful when crossing it.

The accommodation was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast on offer was better than any b&b we have stayed in to date and Paula and Tom were the perfect hosts! We especially liked the fresh milk available for your cuppa and the biscuits in a jar were a lovely gesture. So many personal touches that made our stay perfect and Schooner Point will be our first choice when next in the area. :)

Location was perfect. Beautiful guest house. Lovely, friendly and very accommodating hosts. Our bedroom was airy and bright, bed very comfortable. Everyday we had little extras placed in our room. Fresh milk for tea, which was kept in a little fridge. Biscuits in jar, topped up everyday. Breakfast was delicious. Paula’s homemade baked beans, jam and marmalade were the best. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful guest house in Looe.

Wouldn’t be suitable for anyone who finds steps or hills tricky.
