The breakfast(s) had a very good range of choice and everything was fresh and cooked to order. The location is absolutely fantastic and our room looked out directly onto the river/boats. The hosts, Andrew & Stephanie were so friendly and able to give good advice re local sites, restaurants etc.

Absolutely nothing to dislike but i would suggest that if anyone has issues with hill and stairs contact the hosts first to seek advice re room availability. I am 71yrs and my good wife not quite as old and we had no issues with being on the second floor but some, particularly of our age group, could easily struggle. I believe both hosts would give very good and honest advice .

The view from the room is great, overlooking the river. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. En-suite was super with nice hot water. Stephanie and Andrew are fabulous hosts offering local knowledge, wonderful breakfasts, beer runs and they always greet you with a smile. The outside seating ares are a lovely place to while away an hour or two with a drink accompanied by some cheese :-) It is one of the nicest places we have stayed and we would love to return.

A bit of a climb but I knew this and booked and would book again but worth a mention for people who have limited mobility

Our room was so lovely and comfortable, huge soft bed and everything we could possibly need for our stay. The breakfast was delicious every morning and we were made to feel so welcome. Andrew and Stephanie are great hosts, helpful with recommendations for places to eat and visit and just generally friendly and welcoming (and Andrew’s lovely mum!) the location is fabulous too. I love Looe it’s my happy place and I would definitely visit the Dolphin again we had the best time.

Beautifully maintained and restored 19th century Naval Officer's residence directly opposite the river with easy access Looe town centre(s) and the lovely little railway to Liskard. Stephanie and Andrew have done a remarkable job with this guest house since taking it over several years ago. They are both very welcoming, warm and sincere in their dealings with all their guests. This was our first visit and we both felt very much at home. Lovely little touches, such as a welcoming cup of tea on our arrival and in our room a small bottle of liquor, biscuits and a little table and comfortable chairs to enjoy the view of the stunning river from our 2nd floor front room. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked by the 'head cook and bottle washer' Andrew, whilst Stephanie did the hard work of keeping us supplied and topped up as required. Check out the delightful sitting room with framed pictures of Looe through the centuries, interesting selection of books and even a chess set ready for playing!

Dolphin Guest House is a true gem of a place: welcoming, comfortable, great location. Andrew and Stephanie are the perfect hosts and have created a cosy oasis right in the middle of bustling Looe. Exceptionally clean room and bathroom, wonderful room with fantastic facilities and an incredibly comfortable bed; amazing attention to detail, from the fresh milk in the fridge to free parking, fluffy towels and a proper hairdryer. Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. Thanks for a brilliant couple of days.

Location people were absolutely lovely ,Nothing better than being welcomed and kept welcome all the way through the stay ,Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to feel at home normally i would say its the lady it was but her husband was fabulous would and will go again

There was nothing not to like ,Liked everything about it and more .I honestly could not say a bad word against this hotel ..If one word could describe it FAB GREAT IT WAS A PLEASURE ,We have been going to looe for 14 years same weekend for sea fishing best weekend we had by far we you stay and how your treated is just as much apart of any holiday / break

Stephanie & Andrew are fantastic hosts. Andrew met us at the car park with the permit and then had coffee waiting for us on the veranda. The room was gorgeous. So spacious, well decorated, and clean. The bed linen smelt amazing. Cornish tea & coffee were supplied, and there is a mini fridge with fresh milk. In the bathroom, we had a sewing kit, boot mitt, shower cap, make-up remover, and some lovely smellies. They even supplied a little decanter of Cornish rum! The breakfasts were delicious, and the scrambled egg was so creamy. We were made to feel so welcome and really didn't want to leave. We were so amazed at the great value considering the location. Literally 2 mins walk to Looe centre but not noisy at all. We will definitely return as we were so sad to leave.

A warm welcome from friendly hosts. The accommodation was very clean, of the highest quality and our room had a fantastic view. The bed was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and using quality ingredients. The whole stay felt like a real luxurious treat. Looe itself is beautiful with great scenery. The beach is clean, gently sloping with good views. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes to cater for every need. Thank you Andrew and Stephanie, everything was perfect.

What a wonderful guest house. The hosts Stephanie and Andrew were so friendly and helpful. If you are a first timer like us they are more than happy to point you towards some of the lovely beaches and places that you maybe wouldn’t ever find yourselves so do ask them. They are more than happy to help. We booked the King Premier Ensuite 2nd floor and weren’t disappointed. We were informed beforehand that it overlooked the back so I wasn’t expecting much but it was beautiful. The back overlooks the walled garden which was really lovely as, being built into a cliff top the flowers could be seen from the window. Absolutely no noise from the road out the front just the sound of bird song if you leave the window open. In the evening there was room to sit out on the balcony at the front of the guest house and enjoy the sun setting in front of you. The room itself was lovely. Comfortable bed, really efficient shower and a fridge (Heaven) and plenty of room. The breakfasts were plentiful and excellent The free parking is a real bonus as I would imagine trying to park in Looe during the high season would become quite stressful. Thoroughly enjoyable stay and I would definitely use it again if staying in Looe
