Great location, steps away from the promenade and beach. Freshly renovated room (we stayed in Lodge 12). Very clean with daily housekeeping refresh. Comfy bed. The only change I would made in the room would be addition of small fridge, it would make it perfect! It was one of our many stays in Lowestoft and the very first one I was not disgusted to unpack my bags and use the room in full!

The only problem we had were very heavy and noisy doors, people were shutting them without holding and it woke us up multiple times. Honestly the sound makes you jump! Maybe a polite note on the doors would help? Also the internal walls are not very soundproof so we could hear other people's conversations and some bathroom noises, it didn't spoil our stay but may be uncomfortable for someone sensitive.

Location is fantastic- one road off from the seafront. Easy check in at the Hatfield hotel & able to park in car park. Room had everything we needed. We are used to a super king bed so going to a double is always interesting. Room had a great shower. Had a couple of drinks at the main hotel but didn't eat as ate with family in Lowestoft.

Only negatives- Front door to lodge wasn't locked, so pointless having a pass key. Stairwell to room doesn't smell nice- drain smell but thankfully not in the room

Most of the staff was very friendly and welcoming. If we go back again we will preorder the breakfast as it was quite decent. We got moved to the main hotel which was a lot nicer so we were grateful for that :)

In the lodge the rooms were quite dated and they had issues with the card key In the hotel the bathroom window couldn’t be open so on a hotter day - like on our first one - it was impossible to sleep because it was boiling hot. The bedroom window could be opened but only slightly so after having a shower, too, it was boiling hot.

It was easy to find, room was clean, big enough, warm and running hot water Not too noisy for being on a busy road Also the carvery was great, priced reasonably and fresh

My door entry card wouldn’t work at 11pm the reception was across the road, I rang them snd the girl said we have to go across there to get another even tho we are old, it was cold and raining, I wasn’t happy about ut and thought they could have run ut across to us to check we got in ok That’s not good service !!!

Most of the food was very nice. The scrambled eggs n the haddock I had were very nice. Sadly there was no croissants on our last morning which my boy really loved. We didn’t like the lasagne my boy said it had a funny aftertaste. I think the menu could be tweaked a little. The bedroom facilities were lovely the beds were very comfy. The loved the shower. The chambermaids were very nice n polite n very smiley faces.

It was clean, modern. Is linked to the Best western opposite, where breakfast, etc is served. The restaurant looks over the sea.

It was pretty noisy, although we were in the ground floor, near the entrance. There was no direction when going in for breakfast, the lady staff member shouted across the room, for our room number, a little unnecessary.

very clean and spacious, TV was a nice little add to the room, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was spotless and immaculate, definitely worth the money to stay here and will definitely be staying here again, staff was helpful on arrival/check in

Was lovely and clean, and big room, fan and tv, this is probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in all over over the country. Staff were very nice and helpful, and breakfast was lovely, we will come back.

I didn't mind as such but there was no window in our room, was a sky light. Felt abit odd but was fine.

We booked just the day before, which was lucky on a bank holiday. Our room in the lodge seems newly decorated, with a spacious bathroom. Great staff & service.

Checking what we had booked online was abit confusing, as it seemed like 'Hatfield hotel' and 'Hatfield lodge' were seperate hotels, not the same hotel, with seperate building names. Breakfast meals seem a little small for the (seperate) price.

Cleanliness and space in the property was exceptional. Staff were extremely polite and always happy to help. In-room facilities were fantastic.

Property was very warm throughout the night and struggled a little with ventilation due to only being able to open one window. Didn’t negatively impact the stay however.
