We have just returned from a two night stay at Lucerne B&B. Dan and his family are perfect hosts, welcoming and friendly. The property is well situated, a few minutes walk from Lyme Regis, and makes a great base to explore from or a stop off if walking the SWCP. There is parking available. Our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the linen and toiletries were of a high standard. The ensuite had a large walk-in shower. Dan's breakfasts are delicious, quality ingredients, and well cooked. Cereals, yoghurt, and fresh fruit are also on offer with juice and good tea and coffee. We will be returning to Lucerne B&B and would not hesitate in recommending it to you. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

We loved Lucerne. After a hair raising drive through narrow country lanes (my first time driving in the UK), we were met by Daniel, who was a gracious and charming host. We parked right in front of the building on a VERY quiet street. The establishment is run by a young couple who do a wonderful job. Our room was immaculate. Seriously - cleaner than any room I've ever stayed in. They do have Wifi. We enjoyed breakfast in their sunny breakfast room overlooking the town and coast. The view is truly spectacular. The beach is maybe 1/3 of a (STEEP) mile away, and you'll have passed bakeries, clothing and fossil shops before that. There's also a Tescos (convenience store). There are lots of restaurants in town...and GOOD food. If you walk down to the Mary Anning statue, you can follow kind of an esplanade which heads East along the coast. At the end are stairs down to the shore, where you can go look for fossils at low tide (STAY AWAY FROM THE CLIFFS!). From here it's a little over a mile and a half walk East to Charmouth beach. Monmouth Beach is to the West of Lyme Regis beach. A bit more rocky, but at low tide you can see a big stretch of ammonite pavement. The Lyme Regis Museum is very interesting and informative as well. If you visit, make sure to take a walk down Sherborne Lane. Two quick right turns at the end will bring you for a winding walk along the river down to the Town Mill. As an illustrator, I can see why artists have found the town inspiring. It's magical - and if you're the kind of person who gets out early, before the town wakes up, to take pictures or sight see, you won't be disappointed. P.S. As a first time visitor to the UK, I LOVED how dogs were everywhere. Mary Anning's statue sets the tone...this is a place that clearly loves their well-socialized dogs.

Very comfortable room, spacious, bright and clean. Amazing sea view, exceptional location, very quiet. The bed is comfortable, towels are soft and of high quality, top notch modern shower. We enjoyed the tea, coffee & hot chocolate facilities and biscuits. The host looked after us beautifully and the previous reviews were right - the breakfast was absolutely fantastic (full English plus a choice of cereals, yoghurts, toasts, fresh fruit) and kept me sustained until 3pm! I would highly recommend this B&B - we loved every minute there, many thanks to the hosts!
n/a - it was all great!

This was our second stay at Lucerne which has limited parking on site. Elevated location gave excellent views over the town and coastline as far as Portland Bill. Accommodation spotless and in excellent condition. Breakfast excellent too. Daniel looked after us very well and was ever firendly and helpful at al times.
Located just above the top of the High Street, it is about 10 minutes walk to the lovely beach and a little further the The Cobb (harbour and sea wall) There are many eateries but our favourite was The Harbour View. Lots of nearby interesting placess to visit including Sidmout, Seaton and Beer to the west and Bridport, West Bay and Burton Bradstock to the east - as well as many coastal walks and fossil hunting.

The breakfast was beautiful and so generous. The fruit was so fresh every morning.Eggs cooked perfect. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and hot .I forgot to ask what washing powder they used the towels smelt beautiful 😊.
The room was a bit small but that’s ok we were not in it during the day .DAVID was wonderful helped to carry our very heavy suitcases up the stairs. It would have been nice to have a little fridge in there but not really any room.

Very good breakfast, well cooked. Room just right for someone on their own. Felt very comfortable. As I’m getting on in years would have appreciated a different location. Nearer to the main part of the town without such a steep climb if possible. The extra exercise probably did me good! Enjoyed Lyme Regis and would like to return for a longer stay in the future.
Just the location as explained. Found people very friendly and helpful. A pity about the road works as it made it very difficult to return to the station at Axminster in order to get back home to London. Would have helped if the Council had given some warning of the route diversions in the locality which affected the bus link with the station. But these are things which were beyond the control of the B& B owners.

Daniel and Lisa were the perfect hosts and very friendly. Location of the Lucerne to Lyme Regis promenade was in a great spot, far enough up the hill to get a lovely view of the left of the bay from our room and not too far up for the climb 🙂 Room very clean
Could have been more clothes storage but not too big an issue Parking a bit tight but Daniel and Lisa very helpful and accommodating

The location is great, close to all of the action. The room was perfect for what we needed, very clean and comfortable. The view of the beach and cliffs is beautiful (bedroom1). Breakfast was delicious! There are plenty of options to choose from and the dining area was lovely. We came hoping to find fossils, our hosts were very helpful in helping us find the best spot and also knowledgeable about other attractions of interest.
There were no negatives about our stay!

We received an amiable welcome the 2 on-duty staff of this nice, well-situated family operated B & B. The rooms, toilet and shower were nicely furnished, decorated and clean, with towels being charged daily. Daily supply of coffee, tea and biscuits, as well as cleaning of the rooms. The dining room is nicely decorated and provided an excellent view of Lyme Regis Harbour, the sea, surrounding cliffs mountain ranges. Breakfast was delicious. The Daniel, who was the main host during our stay was engaging and helpful in making our stay an enjoyable one.
1. Nice welcome and engaging staff. 2. Clean and nicely decorated and furnished rooms and bathrooms 3. Thick towels. 4. Lovely breakfasts. 5. Easy accessibility to restaurants, seaside and Park.

Everything is made to make you feel comfortable. The place is absolutely spic and span, the breakfast is perfect. We can make some tea or coffee in the bedroom with some biscuits offered everyday. The bedrooms are well insulated (we can't hear the neighbours). We can park right in front of the house and it's only a 10 minutes' walk to the centre of Lyme Regis.
The bedroom is very little.
