Room was simple but warm and convenient, but there was effectively no room service. We adjusted to this quickly - it's no hardship to make your own bed! But you had to 'catch' the available staff for further supplies of (in our case) tea, milk, coffee, toilet paper. But staff were very helpful when asked.

MUD at entrance. No fault of DAYSINN - modifications on site - but difficult in the dark, when we left and when we arrived. Lights in room too feeble to allow reading or writing at all easily, even in full daylight. A table or standard lamp would have been handy.

I had to have a last minute room change on arrival as The room allocated to me was upstairs and I have limited mobility and can't manage going up and down the stairs, the receptionist was very understanding and found a room downstairs for me.

I would have preferred being able to have the option of upstairs or downstairs as I didn't want to put disabled. Also, maybe you could have some taxi cab numbers somewhere as I don't know Maidstone and had to take a taxi each day to visit my mum in her care home, and I had to ring my daughter to look online for a number for me.

We have stayed here previously and as a result were happy to make another booking. The room is of a generous size, very clean and welcoming. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Car parking is available outside the hotel and the proximity to the channel tunnel is a bonus

I booked a downstairs room through Booking.com, but on arrival was allocated a room upstairs, so this was very disappointing, as I especially required a ground floor room, due to mobility issues and the hotel does not have a lift!

Comparing this hotel with many in Spain and France that we had just visited in the previous 3 days, Days Inn was excellent value for money, very clean with a spacious room especially with two dogs. Also not charged for the dogs as many do. Tea and coffee available, and with tasty biscuits. Kerry the receptionist was friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately the double bed was very uncomfortable. I assume the mattress was well used as springs were sticking up through the material. I didn’t complain because we were very tired and everything else was well done.

Every member of staff with whom I came in contact was friendly, helpful and patient. As a single person, I stayed in a room for five nights and all requests for replenishment of tea, milk, etc were treated promptly and courteously. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved having the sofa.

The fact that there were no better eating facilities nearby (or preferably on site!) Lights for reading in bed were poor.

This was a hotel attached to a road services facility. It was comfortable and basic but handy to the areas I wished to visit and good value for money. The staff were helpful and the facilities, though basic, were adequate. Was good having nearby eating and fuel places.

There was not a great range of eating places at this service area and because I stayed for 5 days the choices were small.

The room was OK and I liked the bathroom

On the day that I had booked to stay, the M20 was closed from Jct 7 to Jct 9. I tried telephoning the hotel when I was diverted off the motorway to ask for help in finding it, but failed to get any response. It rang out but there as no reply. Clearly this was an unusual situation but it might have helped me if my booking confirmation had shown a proper street address AND if care was taken to answer the phone when similar events occur.

Overall, my stay was very pleasant. The accommodation was generally very good in terms of facilities but room temperature control is difficult. (Opening the window increases noise levels).

A couple of ‘niggles’. The wash basin had no plug. Difficult to shave under a running tap (also wastes hot water). No toilet brush (embarrassing). Limited site options with Roadchef closed.

The pillows were literally the perfect height. I loved that we had a bath even if it was a bit shallow and the shower/shampoo wash was handy as I forgot mine. The beds were nice and big and not uncomfortable.

A sheet under the duvet would have been nice as I sometimes get too hot with a duvet but still like to be covered. Something to say the bath can go hotter than the standard setting would be good as I didn't work that out until our second night. Was disappointed there was no iron.

Ladies at the desk around 10pm are absolutely brilliant. Very polite, greeted with a smile, very fast check in and I was very surprised of the cleanliness of the room and I stay in a lot of hotels. For the price it’s unbeatable. Also to add the bed and sheets were nice and soft I usually carry my own as most use starch but the sheets here were fresh and clean and soft.

Could do with a lick of paint and door but still for its price this is very minor.
