Great central location, spotlessly clean. Food was excellent.

All staff at the Dakota are fab, especially the bar, restaurant and concierge team. Check in felt as though we were an inconvenience with no information given on breakfast times or any services. Evan had to ask how we get to the lifts to get to the room which is a little strange for a 4 star hotel (this was a little thing and overall a fab place).

* No tissue box in room ! * Poor wifi coverage to our room (7th Floor) - needs wifi extender ! * Room service (food arrived cold), and they charge 5 pound for room service ! * Small amount of shampoo & shower gel are provided per day (not enough for 2 persons) ! * Can’t adjust the strength of the shower (it is very strong that it fills the floor so quickly) ! * No fridge ! * Towels has bad smell * The checkout is @ 11:00 AM (where it should be @ 12 pm similar to the other hotels !) * No Gym / Fitness center is available

The room (executive suite) and the guest service was excellent. Especially the kindness of the waiting staff was beyond compared. Even though the terrace for brunch was not open, upon request we were seated there. The cleaniness and cosiness highly appreciated. We spent two special nights at the Dakota Hotel Manchester and certainly will return.

We were not informed about the deposit needed to pay upon arrival. It certainly was not a problem however would have preferred knowing this prior to arrival.

Super romantic decor, totally our vibe. Exceptional staff, have to give special mention to the gentleman manning the doors. He was so friendly and helpful. Everything during our stay was magical, the small details in the room, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, the bathroom was gorgeous and the tv/mirror was wow. Will definitely return.

The packages we went for in addition to the room were a bit pricey, but we weren't too fussed about this as it was a special occasion. Perhaps out of budget for a random night away, but to mark a special moment, this is the perfect stay.

Really comfortable.. nearly all staff were accommodating ,polite and helped out as much as they could..its very nice inside..it was very cosy very clean..our room was perfect for us

Bar closed too early for us 11pm.... we literally were at the bar at.11.02 after our event not knowing it closed at 11 and the way she told us about 3 times even though we had acknowledged her and said this was fine was rude.. we also were told by the same lady that we couldn't use the smoking area later on and that we had to use the street even though it was easily accessible and doors open to it.. we thought how she spoke to was a little rude.

This is the second time I've stayed. The rooms are a great size, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The rooms were cleaned and tided each morning to the standard of when you arrived. It's also in a very convenient location, away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to bars, restaurants etc.

The staff are so hit and miss. There seems to be so many of them, way more than other high end hotels I've stayed at in Manchester. Dispite this, half of them find something to do that doesn't involve engaging with you. Even a simple hello seems tricky. The bar is grossly expensive, more exploitative than quality. This hotel is for the very rich with their very expensive cars outside.

Same as always, which I like. Reliable and unfussy, room ready on time and spotlessly clean. Great location to be near everything but just a few minutes walk 'apart'. Had dinner in the restaurant, always wonderful and delicious and good service. Lovely biscuits with a good selection of tea and coffee, crisp bed-linen on comfortable beds.

It's an odd thing but after about around 6 stays here I do get bored of being asked "Is this your first time with us?' I'm not turning up with my flash car or fancy suitcases but I think I have logged around 2 weeks worth of stays over the past couple of years - so please stop asking OR welcome me back - either will do!

Break for a birthday and special occasion. Hotel was beautiful, the decor and the lighting was amazing, very relaxed atmosphere. The terrace/ drinks were also very nice. Staff were attentive and friendly. We did have an issue with our fridge/air con in the king bedroom which was noisy/broken but as soon as this was reported to the front desk, the Dakota staff were on it and as a gesture of good will, Dakota upgraded our room from a king to an executive suite was OUT OF THIS WORLD and free of charge it was a lovely surprise - it really was a highlight in our stay how well we were treated by the staff - 1000 percent would stay here again! A massive Shoutout to Tiffany and the manager who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, especially after hearing about the broken fridge etc. Thank you Tiffany and all staff members who made our stay at Dakota so special.

Though frankly the hotel is not really our style, of its type we thought it was very comfortable, and staff on the whole were very pleasant. We’d definitely book again when in Manchester.

Not really keen on the decor but that is a personal taste thing. But as previously stated we did think it was very comfortable and well presented. My wife did comment that despite calling front desk to book in complimentary late checkout (midday), she received a rather curt call at approx 11:30 asking why we hadn’t vacated the room. The lady was apologetic when my wife put her right. Other than that everything was lovely.

The whole hotel had a luxurious feel from the moment of walking into reception. The rooms were beautiful, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The reception and valet staff were extremely kind and welcoming,

I paid an extra £65 for a late check out at 2pm as I arrived late the night before, and had a quiet day planned. This was not a concern however at 11 am a member of the cleaning staff knocked on my door asking when I would be checking out. Also I know this can’t be helped but I was only aware that Valet parking was all that was available on site until I arrived. I booked through booking.com, so this may be something I accidentally overlooked.
