I was really impressed by the spacious room and the cleanliness of the hotel. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was good, with the metro station just a 5-minute walk away, and Aldi conveniently located just across the road.
The Wi-Fi and overall connection were VERY poor. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign available in the room upon arrival, and I had the door opened on me a couple of times while sleeping before one was offered. I recommend asking for one as soon as you check in to avoid this issue. At some point, you have to go up or down some stairs to get to the lift, which is a hassle if you have heavy luggage. You better hit the Gym beforehand, or be prepared to have strangers offering you help you with your luggage - I am really thankful for those who helped me by the way!

Fantastic value for money for a long stay if you're just needing a place to sleep. I personally used it while recovering from a surgery for 9 days and was perfect for that. The place is conveniently opposite an aldi. it's clear the bathrooms are new and showers have modern big shower heads for a great shower. Beds are comfy if a little soft, staff more than happy to supply extra pillows and fresh towels. Rooms a pleasant size Staff were very pleasant and friendly, really made to feel welcome Would stay there again for a budget travel down to Manchester.
Hoovering could have been a little more thorough when we first entered, but that's being a little picky. The showers are a little tricky and stiff with getting the right temperature but the staff were fantastic at helping fix it. Accessibility isn't super great. The lifts arrive in the middle of the floors, meaning you have half a flight of stairs up or down to reach a floor which is a little strange One very small inconvenience was no spoons for the tea/coffee station. So I'd bring some instead of using coffee sticks provided

It's like the 9th or 10th time we come back and everything is perfect as usual. Clean, quiet, functional hair drier, clean white bathroom towels, hand soap, shower gel, very warm,Coffee, tea, kettle, comfortable bed, just 3-5 min walking distance from train station, tram or bus, also less than 5min walking to supermarkets, shops or local restaurants. Staff is very kind and helpful. All I can say is thank you for great service at an amazing value. There are many city centre hotels ,more expensive that don't offer all that Ox Eccles hotel offers. That's why I preffer to keep choosing Ox Eccles despite it is an approx 30 min travel by tram from where I usually go on a regular basis in Manchester.
I liked everything.Nothing negative to say about it.

Plenty of parking , easy check in, friendly cheerful staff, the room was roomy and a little to hot on arrival, but adjusting the air-conditioning sorted that out, unfortunately I like to sleep with a window open but can't open them but not a massive problem. The bathroom was excellent, with a great shower. Tea and coffee are provided. I did not eat here but the menu looks pretty good and good value.Acces is no problem as the rooms are reached by lift and then 6 or7 steps up or down to your floor. Stayed one night and will return, the Metrolink is only 5min walk ,taking about 25 min to the centre of the city.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean crisp bedding, pretty quiet too for a Saturday night. And a fabulous selection for breakfast, from a good old English breakfast to a semi continental breakfast with bread, cheese and meats, and a selection of tinned fruit and fresh yoghurt. Ā£7 and you can have what you want. And teas coffees and hot chocolate too. Great views over Manchester to the surrounding countryside too. Would definitely stay again!?ššš»
Nothing, if I was going to be really really picky, and have to find something I would say there could have been a fan in the rooms, but ours had air conditioning as windows donāt open fully. And room was quite hot. However this did not in anyway cause any issues to our stay.

Staff had to deal with a tricky situation with a guest they were trying to get off the premises due to unruly behaviour but they went above and beyond trying to contain the situation and to make sure we were comfortable. No other problems or noise the rest of the stay. Staff were exceptional. Hotel is perfect for a comfortable stay. Large rooms, lovely and clean, comfortable beds and a good night sleep (which never happens when I stay away). Cute bar and lovely drinks available. Over all a fab stay and well worth the money!
Hotel had a hospital like smell in main areas but my guess is just cleaning products, carpets could do with a refurb but thatās just being picky. Really canāt fault it otherwise. Ooo except maybe more tea bags in the room for us guests that have a tea addiction! And need more than two cups each on our stay.

The receptionist is amazing; she is very helpful, friendly, and explained all the information clearly. The room was spotless and cleaned every day, with towels replaced daily. I loved everything, including the breakfast, which I found to be reasonably priced, even though I opted not to have it. Thereās also a large supermarket in front of the hotel, and I loved the view.
Everything was wonderful. I believe the shower glass box is small, causing some water to spill onto the floor, which is a bit bad. However, apart from that, everything was great. It would have been even better if there had been a minibar in the room.

I understand that the rating is overall not that great. I think it depends what you want and how much youāre willing to pay. We needed a cheap hotel close to be able to whizz into town easily providing a good breakfast. Arriving at night felt a bit strange about the ate up - an apartment block serving a variety of purposes, only one being a hotel. It therefore felt slightly strange. One we were checked in at reception on the 2nd floor it was fine. Itās not luxurious but what do people expect for the price. Clean, good & comfortable enough beds for a quick overnight stay. The breakfast was very good. The value for money was outstanding. Ā£61 for one night with breakfast.

The location is in downtown Eccels, a small town with surprisingly excellent links to Manchester. National rail, tram, and buses are all available within a 5-minute walk. The room fare is cheap for a reason, the hotel rented out an office building for the hotel, with hotel rooms located at half-level of each story, which means after getting to the story you want, you have to move your luggage half-level down or up to get to your room. The facility is in a rather poor condition, with stains on the walls of the bedroom/bathroom, though the metal parts, mirror, and wash basin are cleaned thoroughly, showing itās not a problem about care, instead the old age of this whole building. The staff here is extremely friendly, and I would say better than some 4-5 star hotels. The lobby is warm and offers a cheap yet good quality breakfast. You can feel that the staff is trying to provide the best they can given the limitations of the facilities, which is very commendablele. After a week of stay, all I want to say this place has lots of potential. This place is better than some overpriced hotels in the city center, due to its amazing staff and links, however, like Eccels, the place feels run down, despite having amazing transportation links and value for money. This place needs some investment to have a face lit, because the team obviously deserves better.
They need better directions on the ground floor to idendicate the lobby is between the 1 and 2 floors.

Great value for money, basic but clean, comfortable, across the road from Aldi, helpful staff, safe parking, decent wifi, big view windows. Not central to city, but great access in c. 10" without traffic.
Nothing.
