The property was very well located to reach the AO arena by train and bus, and the host made us feel very welcome upon arrival. The breakfast was a self-serve continental/hot breakfast and there was a lot of choice, which was a pleasant surprise. The host was also very willing to assist in any way and recommended some local attractions and things to do whilst we were in the area.

I hadn’t realised the shared bathroom would be shared amongst all of the rooms. Also, the pub’s karaoke continued until just after midnight, which we weren’t aware of before staying. The landlord did give us a heads up the day before but it was quite loud in the room which made it a little difficult to get to sleep before it finished.

The hostel rooms are furbished to a very high standard with a television, kettle tea and coffee. There is a shared bathroom/shower It is superbly clean throughout and offer a fantastic breakfast of your choice either continental or you can make your own full english a small cooker is supplied. There is also yoghurts and cereals for those like myself there is espresso coffee pots and a selection of ground coffee. The pub itself comprises of various entertainment. As I am a backpacker and on foot there is a good bus service no 8 which drops you a few hundred yards opposite the pub/hostel from Manchester check where you pick up the bus price is £2.00 single fare.,also a mainline train service operates from Manchester Victoria you will need to get off at Swinton train station ask anyone they will give you directions to the pub/hostel. The best thing about the Oddfellows Arms is the friendliness and kindness of Peter and Steph, great welcome and genuine smile which I will not forget. The bedding/bed are clean and smell nice. The room, bathroom and the pub are very clean and warm. A towel was provided. There was a TV, tea and coffee in the dorm for 4 people. There are plenty of options for breakfast, I was so lucky that they had oat milk available and I could have some nice cereals before I left. Thank you for the great welcome and I hope I’ll stay for more than 1 night in the future so I can spend some more fun time in the pub!

Very friendly staff, welcoming and happy to do anything they can to help. Welcomed my dog with open arms and even watched him for a few hours for me. Rooms basic but clean, well equipped with kettle, tiny fridge, cups etc, plenty plug sockets/extensions. Liked the dimmable circular lamps. Breakfast room you can help yourself to continental or cook something yourself.

Don't book expecting the Ritz, it's basic, clean rooms over a pub with a shared bathroom, and great value for money. Be aware also, that they often have karaoke going on late, so if you need an early night, check their events!

The Location is superb for accessing central Manchester and surrounding areas, its good for travelling from to and from further North & South being just off a main motorway. Free Parking is available close to the venue. Very good value for money, clean and cosy and the owners are so very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

For me I would have preferred not to have to serve and make my own cooked breakfast when a cooked breakfast is available, as I really don't have time in the morning to do that when having to leave early or go to meetings. Also there was no sink in the kitchen area for filling the kettle type appliance etc and that would be helpful.

There was only 1 bathroom and shower, with the pub toilets downstairs but was broken at the time of use. This was fixed almost immediately, but I did have to hang around until the main bathroom came free. This was a rather desperate moment and i even contemplated driving out to a 24hour Tesco to use theirs. With so many people staying, it needs to have more than 1 bathroom without question.

Lovely place with a very friendly and talkative owner, very comfy bed, cozy interior and always cleaned properly in the morning. Loved the breakfast choices, as there was so many different items and even several milk alternatives, which was perfect for me as a vegan. Very good value for money!

You'll receive a warm welcome from your host, Peter and amy information etc that you need he'll be happy to help. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and the bed surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast is DIY but there is a good selection of hot and cold foods. The property is close to public transport which is frequent to just about anywhere in the area.

The stairs to the accommodation are quite steep and might be difficult for the elderly or infirm, otherwise absolutely no complaints.

It was incredible cheap for its quality. The whole facility was very clean and comfortable, and the staffs were very kind and friendly. The best value ever.

there are only two things I wanna talk about: the absence of hair dryer (but I'm not 100% sure if it really didn't exist. maybe i was just blind) and the location. Because I got to there very late at midnight, when bus was unavailable, I had to take a taxi (too far to go by foot), which ended up paying £21.
