the hotel is beautifully furnished with lovely attention to detail at all levels. very comfortable and well appointed room and the bed was supremely comfortable..I had an excellent nights sleep. The staff are warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Home from home..Ill definitely be staying again.
the only fly in the ointment is that the wifi reception isnt great, but apparently that is the case throughout the village so That is not something to lay at the doorstep of the hotel. Once I had tethered my phone it worked perfectly but d be prepared to improvise!

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was lovely and very secure. Nice, quiet location. The breakfast (I had full English) was excellent - one of the best I've had away and very generous, not to mention the pastries, cereals, fruit etc and other items on offer. Later checking out time after a leisurely breakfast was also appreciated.
Just one small thing about the twin room (Woodcock room) - the shower and toilet were separate, which was handy for us, but the shower was very cramped. It was virtually impossible to close the door to the bedroom and get in the shower as the shower door opened out too far. Not easy to get dried off in there.

The Bell is an old coaching inn, refurbished in the modern style while retaining much of it's original charm. Our room was comfortable and fitted out to a high standard, including a particularly good bathroom shower. Breakfast was outstanding, in part due to the locally sourced ingredients, and the staff were most obliging and pleasant.
A few minor quibbles - the wifi was playing up, and while dinner in the restaurant was delicious the portion sizes were much too small. Happily this was not the case with breakfast which was satisfyingly hearty.

Didn't enjoy the narrow hair-raising country roads to get there but that's personal preference. Bar and restaurant were homely and inviting. Staff excellent. Accommodation also excellent for the very reasonable price - room called 'Grouse', deluxe King bed, large waterfall shower (no bath), perfect for couples ;). Very quite, perfect temperature, and slept well. Excellent dinner. Tasty breakfast included. A real treat and would definitely go back but for those hair-raising roads. Perhaps I'll have to find a different route...
Nothing to dislike

Almost an accidental booking as I was unable to stay with friends in the village. Friendly and attentive service. Clever design of room to maximise space, especially of shower and toilet. Extremely comfortable, clean and warm. Separate entry to rooms so you didn't have to go through the popular (but never noisy) bar area. Exceptionally well decorated room. Felt totally relaxed and would have loved the opportunity to stay longer. Excellent breakfast, and that was only the continental (lot more than a continental really!) Full breakfast menu looked to be of a high standard too. Dining room/restaurant separate from bar area too providing an exceptional menu.
Not much to say here. I feel the whole guest experience has been carefully thought through. 'Pubs with rooms' can be very variable. This is excellent.

Friendly staff welcomed us on arrival at this centrally located hotel. The rooms were comfortably appointed with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good with large shower, and everything felt welcoming and warm. The following morning, the breakfast was very nice. Took a bit of time to come but we didn't mind as we were with friends and I put it down to the food was freshly made. I'd be very happy to stay here again.

Lovely staff really welcoming and friendly, generally a good vibe all round, excellent food (we had supper there as well as breakfast) and would recommend. Great location.
We were in the coach house ground floor and the ceilings don’t seem well insulated so we could hear every footstep from upstairs and it was very hot on the first day of the 3 day heatwave difficult to ventilate as windows quite small and opened out to the car park on one side and the road the other.

Room was quiet- surprisingly no noise came up from bar, other room doors are very close so just heard others coming back to their rooms.
Windows hard to open/ keep open using rope pulley. Awful lumpy pillows. Tea and coffee supplied but staff in restaurant seemed confused when I asked for some milk to take to room so we could make tea in the morning. Fairly expensive dinner for fish and chips/ burger but was good. Could be awkward that was about to order cooked breakfast thinking it was included until waitress advised was extra. Maybe don’t put menu on table and just explain/show what was included and offer cooked breakfast menu if want additional option? Toaster not working saw 2 people trying to cook toast and failed . Had to park on road side which seemed common in the village, as pub carpark full

Loved the setting in the wonderful village of Ramsbury with beautiful surroundings . The staff were refreshingly friendly and efficient, both front of house and behind the scene in the kitchen and cleaning. The food in the restaurant was outstanding, especially the burger. Continental breakfast was brilliant with plenty from which to choose. Also, loved the Ramsbury Ales. A nice touch was the village walking guides in our room (12 individual cards). and we did the one around the outskirts passing the stunning Manor parkland and along the Kennett river.
Although a modestly-sized room it lacked a chair... and there was room enough for a small one.

I went to Ramsbury for a family funeral. I never knew The Bell provided accommodation before, and its location was just perfect. The twin bedroom was nicely decorated, tidy and spotless. Although the restuarant is downstairs, one hardly heard any noise at all. The shower was strong and hot, the amenties were in order, the bed was very comfortable. I had a very good sleep. The continental breakfast was good.
The check-in time at 3 pm was a little bit tricky for me when my flight arrived London at 6 am in the morning. Fortunately, I was able to drop off my luggage at my family's cottage.
