The room had everything I needed: hairdryer, shower, comfortable bed, table, hanger, mirror, sockets for usb. The room was furnished competently and stylishly. Everywhere was super clean. I usually have trouble sleeping in new places and I am very sensitive to dust, but here I was super comfortable, I had no problem falling asleep, even wanted to stay there more :) Not just the room but the whole house and garden look super well maintained. Wonderful hosts - a very nice couple - who love what they do, always willing to help, happy to talk and I had a lot of fun talking with them 😊 There is a bus stop next to the house (3 minutes on foot) and the subway station is 3 stops away, which is less than 10 minutes (I sometimes walked to the subway station as it was nice to walk through the streets, it was about 15 minutes). I will definitely be staying at this house again and would happily recommend it again!

I really can't pick out any faults - everything was great!!

They were good hosts... Mrs Kato is lovely and friendly. I was expecting more service eg. rooms to be cleaned daily, a breakfast, just little things that make a stay more pleasant... perhaps i was spoiled by cape town.. where the service there is unbeatable... value for money and on tap service. so coming to this guest house, it was just a little let down.. perhaps it is my fault expecting too much.

certain facilities as i described above... I had not been told there is a kitchen to cook in should i need to... it was possibly a different culture and different way of doing things... I certainly expected more. but it is spotless..

Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely come again should the need arise. However, there was a lack of the small milk cartons for tea/coffee and when we texted the owner we didn’t get any reply at all. It was difficult to fill the kettle up from the hand basin in the en-suite and the fridge had not been switched on prior to our arrival. The room itself and the location were lovely and the en-suite was so nice. The shower was very good, the bed super comfortable and our brief interactions with the owners found them to be very pleasant people. As stated, we would definitely return again but just wanted to raise the minor points above having been property owners ourselves in the USA. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The room was exceptionally clean and well equipped. We had a mini fridge in the room, kettle, tea and coffee with mugs and spoons also there are a microwave, a toaster and cutlery in the common area. The room looks brand new and spotless and the bed is super comfortable. The area has a good atmosphere. although the city centre is approximately 50 mins from the property, but easy access by a shot bus ride and northern line. Also extremely nice and helpful staff! I can only recommend!!

katolondonhaus 3rd stay , this time 17-19 May 2024 2 nights , Room 5 My third stay at Katolondonhaus. Once with family , last two times I stayed, alone in room 5. The room has a large double bed with very soft but firm pillows , a firm -medium mattress and a really nice duvet , that to me was the same you as you get in a premier inn...all very cosy. The ensuite although small, is very well appointed with a super fast hot shower , that really does a great job envigourating you for the day with a modern small sink , glass shelf and bathroom mirror , all tastefully decorated with a contemporary grey tile pattern. There's is a desk to work from next to a mini fridge , on top of which are the complementary water, tea and coffee facilities. The TV, I think 32 inch ( flatscreen Samsung) is mounted on the wall which set a above a fixed hairdryer. Heating wise there is a large radiator, I didn't use this time , as the double glazed windows , with modern slats was easy to open for fresh air. WiFi is excellent, you can easily play call of duty mobile or watch your favourite film on your laptop. All in all tastefully decorated, kept very clean and I would recommend. You will not be disappointed. In addition there is a large kitchen area, should you require any additional items which is next to a dinning table leading on to the well manicured garden. The property itself is set in a quiet residential area of Morden with parking on or just off the property on the main road. It feels very safe with an electronic combination lock to the main front door. Matsuo is extremely welcoming and thoughtful of his guests and will leave you to get on with things. If you need anything else just ask or leave a note! I will be staying again and katolondonhaus is now my "go to" accommodation when I visit London from Suffolk. Alan , Suffolk.

Communication was fantastic with every message promptly answered. The location was very quiet and peaceful. The property was very well maintained to a very high standard. The facilities provided everything we needed for our weekend stay. Hosts were very friendly, and although we only saw them twice, if we had any concerns, they would have been contactable. We would definitely stay again.

Clean, parking, privacy The host met our requests and was very hospitable. Even if there were refurbishment work the place is really nice. The rooms are separate from the main house and the garden will be great place if the weather is nice. When we were there it was the coldest days for the year 🤣😂 Definitely recommend

Host wife asked us to be quiet when we smoke and chat in the garden. We wasn't loud for sure. It was just me and my girlfriend in a romantic talk. And it was 8pm, so even if we were right next to their living room, I found no sense

The facilities are clean, safe and meet hotel standards. Good stay for a work away. Good free WIFI The owner was welcoming. You are left to get on with your stay which I liked. I didn't access the breakfast kitchen on this occasion but other guest told me it's at good standard.

The entrance linking the rooms is very narrow, would be hard to get pass with a big luggage although I was okay because I only had a small suitcase.

This is my second time staying at Katolondonhaus. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodated my late arrival. It’s a lovely property, the rooms are clean and well decorated. If you like to stay warm, the rooms are toasty! Perfect for this time of the year. It’s a perfect location if you need close accommodation to central London and south east (driving). Thank you for a lovely stay.

The host was great. He gave a very warm welcome and was also keen to talk. All the facilities stated were perfectly there. The tea kits helped greatly. :) The room was very beautiful and beds comfortable. I had asked for a fan while booking and it was originally told that they would try to organise it. At the end, it was there. It was great that he took care to consider rhe requests. Very pleased with the property. The location is almost countryside and it was nice to walk around the streets. There were supermarkets around and places to get stuff. Nice little neighbourhood. An information about check out would be a great addition when checking in. I did not know where to out off my keys. But everything worked out. Host is very friendly that way. Nice home shoes offered while going inside. Very clean apartment.

The property mentions communal kitchen but since there was no mention about it during check in. It would be nice to have a small introduction if we can use at least the sink to wash the cups. I personally did not feel nice to leave a dirty cup in the room after my usage. The walls were not sound proof and hence there were some noises at night from the neighbouring rooms.
