A warm welcome from the staff at the bar. Room was small, but absolutely fine for our 1 nigh stay. Bar staff managed to find us a table in the "full bar", and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. Good breakfast in the morning. We arrived during a festival in the town, so everywhere was very busy , but the staff really looked after us

A bit of a nightmare for parking - however this was not the hotels fault as there was a festival on the Saturday when we arrived, I am sure that at other times, there is no issues at all. Other than that everything was great

Great overnight stop after long weekend in Highlands. The shower was amazing after a wild camp. Room was clean and comfortable. Stayed on a Sunday night and looked around town for something to eat but everywhere else was full or closed early (7pm Black Bull!!) So came back to the hotel to eat. SO glad really as the home made venison pie was astounding. Breakfast likewise was a cracking scottish breakfast alongside a breakfast bar with cereals fruit etc. Overall a lovely hotel for the price.

There was a public bar round the back which was under our room in the hotel so it was a bit noisy but wasn't late. There was also a bit of a drains smell in the shower. The restaurant bar options could do with a few more whiskies. But these were all very minor things.

Great historic quirky place, friendly and welcoming. Small pleasant, well appointed room, reading spotlight over bed, light over mirror and sockets near bed. Comfy bed, good thick curtains plus blind. Small shower room. Spiral type stair case but found easy to go up. Had a lovely evening meal and cooked breakfast. Manage to park opposite the hotel (free parking). Great place for stop over or for touring area. Would stay again if in area, great value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I struggled a bit with the stairs but taking into consideration the design,age & history of the building I knew that there would be no lift so it was expected..

From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome by all staff. The room was lovely, a decent size and very nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfy. We had dinner which was delicious, great choice on the menu, making it hard to make a decision on what to have!! Breakfast the next morning was equally as delicious with a great choice. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Location was great and there was no problem with parking.

There was nothing not to like the only tiny thing would be to provide a shower mat for outside of the shower door. Only because I managed to flood the shower room whilst turning on the shower.

Charm, character - the staff were absolutely amazing, welcoming, friendly, the best customer service I’ve received in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The food for both evening meal and breakfast was absolutely spot on - stayed for new year and the kitchen was closed on New Years Day but ensured that residents had the option for food if needed. Would 100% stay here again!

The bed was fantastic, comfortable, big screen tv & the bathroom was lovely! Breakfast was very enjoyable, the highlight for me personally was the staff (If i recall his name was Andy) & having a couple of pints talking wrestling! I have been coming to Moffat for years and this was my first stay in this hotel & I will be definitely staying again! Great value for money and an unbelievable stay!

The food and service were excellent as usual. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Moffat is a great little town and the hotel is well placed for walking and the shops.

Didn't like the sink being in the room rather than in the bathroom. I appreciate the hotel is 'compact' but I would rather have separate facilities.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel has bags of character and has a fabulous atmosphere. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own parking there is free parking just opposite the hotel on the quiet Main Street. The hotel location makes it a fabulous place to stay when exploring local amenities and attractions.

There isn’t a lift and the staircase is fairly steep so getting luggage upstairs could be a problem for some. Having said that though, on checking in we were asked if we needed help with luggage so that’s available if required.

Great location, easy parking opposite and an interesting place to stay. Friendly staff, good food. Recommended!

A very little grumble is that on checking in we were immediately asked what we wanted for breakfast and at what time. I understand why, but when you’ve had a long journey and haven’t even checked into the room, we found it a little overbearing. Maybe give a form you can drop in later?
