Breakfast: Very Good Grilled Breakfast. Dinner: Excellent Food And Service From Ryan. Location/Setting: Very Nice View Of The Garden Sculpture. Room: A Very Comfortable Stay However Air Conditioning Would Be Ideal Instead Of Tower Fan Supplied.

Breakfast: Missing Breakfast Tea On One Occasion. Dinner: Flies Buzzing Around Rather Off Putting. Waiting Staff Were Busy So Payment Took Much Longer. Room: Door Lock System Extremely Difficult To Shut Quietly. Flies All Over Cups Plus Spider Webs Throughout Room. Limited Cups As They Were Not Replaced. Wedding Function Guests Shouting, Singing & Slamming Doors All Through The Night Disturbed Friend's Sleep. Windows Difficult To Open And Shut.

Food was excellent, breakfast and dinner. Overall design and decor of the hotel was great. Staff could not do enough for us and were so friendly.

Our room was booked as an accessible room. It really wasn't - there were none of the necessary grab rails around the toilet ot basin and only one rail in the shower. Had i been staying without my partner, I would not have managed. It is difficult to understand why as the accessible toilets in the public areas of the hotel, including the wedding pavilion, are excellent and all they would need to do is to do the same adaptations to the room.

Pretty much everything! When we arrived a staff member found out it was our anniversary which then lead to our room being upgraded to a suite, complementary prosecco and a late checkout added. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and facilities and added extras in the room (coffee machine, robes etc) really add to the luxury feel of your stay! The bed was so comfortable, and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of options from cooked breakfasts to continental selection. Tea/coffee is brought to your room every morning before breakfast which is a lovely touch. We also had dinner in the restaurant which didn't disappoint, we both loved what we ordered, and will definitely return. If you're wanting to celebrate something special, or just want to feel really looked after, I would definitely recommend a stay here. The prices reflect the experience, and we will definitely come back.

Beautiful location, generous sized room, friendly staff

Very expensive which is fine but you'd expect a hairdryer and maybe a couple of biscuits in the room as a minimum right? Nope. A premier inn gives you a hairdryer at least. It's lovely but for the price (£270 a night I spent) I'd expect a couple of value for money basics. Overall very good but felt like they did cut back here and there across the hotel experience. Not really one to moan but it wasn't cheap so I feel a bit short changed.

All staff are very friendly apart from the one that started at 7am she was pretty ignorant walking to the main entrance told me and my mother-in-law to move out of her way and clear the doorway and stand over the Far Sidebshe could have had an better nicer approach and ask nicely, it was something like out of the army giving a Direct order which was very cheeky especially after the money we spent through the night and in the Residence bar we were very well behaved and quiet there was no noise from us and no reason for to spoken to like that

Location is ideal for Bangor which is where I wanted to be, but a little far out if it’s for visiting Belfast. The grounds are beautiful, the bar and garden fabulous. The staff were all so lovely and very helpful in fulfilling my requests.

The only thing that disappointed was the breakfast. It’s my favourite part of a hotel stay, and I was hoping for more from a 4* hotel. You order the hot breakfast, so you can only have a set amount of eggs etc. I prefer to have a buffet with it all available at the amount and combination you prefer.

Food was very good. Great breakfast. Staff (all) were outstanding. Always greeted with a smile. Nothing too much trouble.

No secure wifi which is a problem for business users who require a secure connection. Don't understand at all why a business of this calibre doesn;t offer free secure wifi. I don't think paid secure wifi was an option. It certainly wasn't offered. This is the first hotel I have stayed in around the world where secure wifi is not part of the package. Quite odd.

Staff bent over backwards to assist us and provide information. Restaurant service and food were excellent. Room was extremely comfortable and housekeeping standards were high. Beautiful grounds and setting. Close to Bangor, Crawfordsburn, Newtownards , Belfast and other places we wanted to visit.

Really, no complaints;

Accommodation was impressive, very clean and comfortable. The staff where experienced, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, good variety and the cooked part came quickly.

The price was slightly high, for a double room. The breakfast had a great selection, however some items had a surcharge, which is perfectly understandable, I don’t believe that porridge should have a surcharge.

Lovely double room with nice luxury extras such as nepresso machine, very comfortable bed but not too soft. No noise from other rooms or corridor were heard. Lots of options for breakfast in a very tastefully decorated room.

Pillows were a bit too soft, would be nice to have a choice of firmness considering there were 2 per person. The bath filled up when we used the shower and we couldn't find how to release the plug hole.
