The staff who dealt with us were super. Very kind and helpful going above and beyond. The Hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable, the room we had was large and at the front of the hotel. It was great value for money. The area is a little run down but the hotel itself is very nice, and a pleasant walk into the city centre. Ubers are also available and affordable.

The room has underfloor heating which was set very high, so the room was uncomfortably warm. We turned it down but it takes a long time to cool. There was a lot of noise from the restaurant below but this did stop after it closed and they cleaned up. Unfortunately, because we had to open the window as the room was too hot the noise was intrusive. Also the fire alarm went off twice late at night

Lovely little get away. Nice and quiet, peaceful retreat! Beautiful rooms very clean. Staff outstanding always helpful... Love this place 😁

Quiet, peaceful, beds comfortable and clean. Lots of hot water with a great power shower. Booked 1 night ended up staying a week. Great location for City Centre and Transport links. Husband was having treatment at nearby hospital. The Balmoral catered for all our needs and the staff were super friendly and so helpful with his wheelchair. Nothing was too much to ask they made us feel at home. Prices were very good for this high standard of hotel.

The staff were amazing the minute we walked in. The reception was very chique and welcoming. Loved the fact that the restaurant was right next door, the food there was outstanding. Well worth the stay, the room was very clean, shower was over a bath but great pressure, blackout curtains were on point Location was perfect for getting to the centre, Taxi was only about £10, we managed to use the bus services no bother, they were very frequent and only around £1.80-£2.00 for a single to the centre. We stayed Fri - Sun and would definitely stay again.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

The room was absolutely fine - clean and spacious.

The receptionist was poor - she mixed up our room and only activated our room card for 1 night instead of the 2 nights we were booked in for. She also turned up for work at 3.15pm when they claim that clients could book in from 3.00pm. When we returned at 3.10 pm our room had not been serviced and when we complained we overheard the senior cleaner saying to her colleague that she would clean our room last !! We obviously complained to reception and told them that this was disgraceful and we wanted it to be reported to the manager.

Lovely hotel with carparking. A very beautiful reception and lovely welcoming staff. The room was amazing. The bed was huge ( only seen that size in America). It was so comfy we almost missed the check out time. The room had the most amazing headboard, a good hairdryer, tv, alarm clock, and kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom was modern, immaculate, and the shower Full power hot and strong. Overall, it felt like it was worth the money. It wasn't the cheapest around, but the location was perfect for a university drop off.

Lovely staff, stayed for 2 nights and was cleaned in between without being asked. Indian restraint was lovely. Furnishings were all up to date and comfortable. Location slightly out of city centre but with a 20 minute down hill walk was in centre of Newcastle. Plenty of public transport outside if you don’t want to walk. Great value for money. Free parking.

Needs more plug sockets in the room only 2 available at the mirror would bring an extension cable if u want more or next to bed. We were in room 106 this may be different in other rooms.

Location. 15 min walk to the centre or St James' Park stadium. 2 min walk to a bus stop, with four services running quite often. Comfy bed, with a good matress. By far cheapest hotel of this level in the area.

Small sink and toilet bowl. TV - none of the apps worked, whilst on many regular channels only audio was avaliable. Arrow buttons on the remote control didn't work. Safe was there but I couldn't open it and couldn't see the instruction.

Always enjoy my stay here, I come up from Luton, when I can get hold of a Newcastle United ticket, love the toon, staff always friendly with great parking as well,as a old man probably takes me 25 mins to walk to town or Newcastle ground, but younger people could probably do it in 15 mins

Only thing I wish is being able to get into the room earlier travelling from Luton and being of elder years would be nice to have a little kip before the game 250 miles for me 😭😭 but apart from that I like this place a lot

Amazing hotel, looks very nice , our room was very clean and bed very comfy . Location is perfect , depending how fast you walk it takes about 15 minutes to get to the centre and to get back it is a hill so be prepared for that if your as unfit as I am 😂🙈. Overall, would stay here again!

The shower water is VERY HOT, I tried all ways to adjust it. However I think this was a me problem, maybe not knowing how to work it.
