The value for money was brilliant. The room had everything we needed and although we didn’t use the bar and live entertainment I was surprised the hotel had it given the price we paid. Staff were excellent and gave our dog a treat on arrival. Bed was super comfy and the location was spot on. Only a short walk right into the town centre.

Maybe the room could have been a little bit cleaner but given this was a dog friendly room I cannot complain.

Staff was good and gave me sea view room without extra charges as there must have been unbooked room during our stay

I didn't like the fact when one old reception lady denied us to warm our food up in a microwave when all other staff did help us with warming food up. Parking is pre-reserved only at £10 a day, so anyone staying here must book their parking by calling them otherwise there's very limited parking available. We had to wait one day to get our parking as there were none available when we checked in. Windows need cleaning from outside as they were very dirty and couldn't take a good picture of the sea view from the room!

We loved the view, the spot was absolutely insane and the sea view was incredible. The staff were fabulous, the woman with the short blonde bob who checked us in and saw us off is absolutely fantastic. Genuinely lovely person. The gentleman who did the night shifts were so lovely and helpful too. Breakfast staff were amazing, the woman with the short hair and glasses couldn’t do enough. The breakfast was so tasty and very well presented. Being someone who likes things clean, it was spotless everywhere. Honestly the staff were beyond amazing, the perfect getaway!

We would have preferred the bar to be open and maybe some entertainment but this cannot be helped-they have been taken over by a big company and don’t have a license yet. We can see that some money needs to be spent in areas-the bathrooms are slightly dated and when having a shower the water didn’t run at all consistent temperature (very hot then very cold). Overall there is maintenance that needs to be done but that’s just wear and tear!

I loved the location which was just opposite the beach and a short walk into the centre. I was upgraded free of charge to a room with a sea view which was much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I chose a hotel with a bar so I could sit and have a drink rather than go to a pub but unfortunately the bar wasn’t licensed . The buffet breakfast all you can was £12 but on the morning I ate there, there was no buffet. Instead a waitress took my order. The coffee was in a thermos flask and stewed. 2 bowls of tinned fruit . The pastries were tiny but nice. The breakfast consisted of one sausage, one rather of bacon, a hash brown a tinned tomato , scrambled egg and some baked beans. It was hot and tasty but for £ 12 it was a bit pricey!

The hotel was quiet. It had tea, coffee, kettle, TV, shower, and bath accessories. The beds were comfortable, and there were two pillows on each bed, which were different "thickness." Those who like flat pillows could have that option, and those who like them fatter could have that option (definitely a plus when traveling with picky children). Breakfast was superb. You could have a full English breakfast, yogurt, toast, or cereal. Or if you're like me, a bit of everything. The location is excellent. Right across from the beach, close to the zoo, mini golf, station, and the centre of town with pubs, shops, arcades, etc. Finally, the staff were great. The lady at the reception was very friendly. She always asked how our day was and helped with any questions and requests. The ladies at breakfast were also very attentive and friendly.

Although our triple room was great, my dad was in a single room where the heater didn't work. He probably could get it fixed if he asked, hut he didn't bother. Also, it would be nice to have a bar or something downstairs. There is one, but it wasn't working because there wasn't a license yet. It's not a huge problem because there are pubs across the road, but it still would be nice to know in advance.

It was an excellent location right on the seafront. we had a Seaview room which was large spacious clean and comfortable. We were able to get parking at the property. we travelled with a dog and the staff in the hotel made a fuss of him and was very welcome and welcoming to us.

Quietest hotel I have ever stayed in which is a good thing, but it would’ve been nice if they were a few more people around to sit in the bar and have a drink with. However, they were plenty of places to visit nearby particularly the great western pub which is lovely and does very good meals.

Caroline, on reception, was wonderful and very helpful, we unexpectedly turned up with 2 puppies (Teddy and Bear), which Caroline loved, but that wasn't a problem for them. They were very accommodating, even with my mums mobility scooter, which could be left and charged near reception All the other members of staff were very helpful and friendly too

Yes, some things need updating (crack in the bath panel, shower, not much power) But those are little things that didn't matter to us. The room had everything we needed just to rest our heads

Opposite Tolcarne beach and handy for the train, buses and shops the hotel has the friendliest staff you could wish for. Whilst some areas of the hotel are careworn it is clean and comfortable and my room had a really comfortable bed and a shower that was very easy to use and decent sized towels. From reception to housekeeping and breakfast all the staff are excellent and only too willing to assist in any way possible.

Great location - right by the beach so had a lovely sea view, close to plenty of attractions/bars/restaurants, and easy to get to and from the train or coach station.

Window wouldn’t shut and radiator didn’t work as I arrived, but this was soon fixed by maintenance coming to unblock the window and providing a portable oil-filled heater, which did warm the room up by the time I came back from having dinner. Noise was also an issue - I could constantly hear the wind, I could clearly hear the lady in the next room arguing with someone on the phone (as in the wall was so thin that I could hear exactly what she was saying, word for word!), and there was a persistent creaking of the floor above me as whoever was staying there moved around.

Great location, within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Great view of the sea from outside the hotel and if you have a sea view room booked. Friendly and helpful staff.

No free parking available at the hotel. Only limited parking in front of the hotel, which you have to reserve in advance and you have to pay for the parking. Pay and display parking available a few minutes walk away from the hotel. Carpet in the room needs a bit more cleaning, as well as under the bed (saw a vape still lying under the bed). Other than this it is a great hotel and would stay here again.
