The place is very pretty and peaceful The room was cute and well equipped. We were warned that there was no sound insulation to the room above and the floorboards might creak. Actually the family upstairs were pretty quiet (and slept in as well) so it wasn't really a problem. The breakfast hamper is a really nice touch, and there's plenty of it. We were in transit and this was a really convenient and pleasant stop off point for us. Dinner was excellent in a lovely dining room.

There was no heating option in the room. It was August so maybe not needed most of the time, but it had been a cool day and the room was a little chilly. A small heater would have been welcome. Dinner was lovely, but service seemed a bit rushed. Dropping the pace a little would have been nice (Service was friendly and excellent though) Banging my head the low beams as we were leaving. I though I'd found all the beams but got caught out by the last one! (There are loads of signs, I was just over-confident by that time)

Staff, Simon and his team were very welcoming and friendly. Room was a great size, views are lovely. The place has a great aura about it. The stream is relaxing. The food is outstanding. Just becareful if your tall not to bang your head, ceilings and beams are low in parts. Other than that. Brilliant 👏 pet friendly room too and the added touch of dog biscuits was great. The selection of teas and coffee were fab I had to try them and the hot chocolate was lovely.

All good really., would be nice to have a more open bar area so after your meal you could go to the bar and relax more casually but I understand the tables are limited there and reserved, there may be another area I didn't see. But certainly wouldn't put me off and would highly recommend this place. For anyone struggling with steps, there are a few leading to the bedrooms but there are rails to grab and steady you.

Most picturesque Inn surrounded by a wonderful lush garden with a stream running through. Lovely lawned area with deckchairs and huge patio so perfect for those guests with dogs. Such a warm welcome from Simon and his team on arrival. Room was spotlessly clean spacious and such a comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom too. Had dinner here both nights and both meals superb recommend the pinwheel sausages and the fish and chips. Simon is a great host and gave great advice on choice of options. Breakfast hamper was also plentiful with the best warm croissants and worth the extra to include breakfast. A relaxed atmosphere in the inn where nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend and such a good price too

OK for me as I'm short but be mindful of beams if you're over 6ft although my husband managed to avoid hitting his head the whole duration

Large family room with a double bed and 2 singles in a seperate area so we weren’t on top of each other. A convenient seating atea in the room was nice and a good range of teas, coffee, hot chocolate & even a piece of homemade fudge each! We ate dinner in the onsite restaurant, food was delicious with attentive, friendly service.

No option for a cooked breakfast, however, a breakfast hamper can be purchased with various options to choose from, delivered to our door with our chosen items which were all of good quality.

The Hamper breakfast was very nice, lovely quality and nicely done. However: we were surprised there was no reduced size and therefore price for a child’s breakfast so we ended up taking their leftovers with us for lunch! Also if it hadn’t been dry so we could eat outside on a pub bench I’m not sure how we would have managed to eat the hamper breakfast in our room without a decent sized table or chairs to fit the 4 of us 🤷🏼‍♀️

Better curtains or blinds, we all woke very early probably due to the amount of light let into the room.

Excellent meal in the Restaurant with friendly and helpful service, despite the fact it was very busy. Garden room we stayed in was lovely and spacious and the garden itself had plenty of seating and space to relax

Couldn't leave our door open as dogs off lead tried to enter three times from the garden area! Were not aware that it is basically a non smoking venue anywhere in the extensive garden area. There was a small bench next to the kitchen area, not far from the gas bottles and thatch! Maybe include this in the details?

Very welcoming staff Stevie at the forefront of this. Food was first class. We had an evening meal on the Saturday the steak was amazing along with a very good cheese board. Simon recommended a Pinot Noir to complement the steak which was perfect. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning walk along Granite Way followed by an exceptional Sunday Roast on our return. When in the area we will definitely go back.

Very attractive room, with lots of locally sourced items - coffee, tea, water etc. Comfortable bed; delicious evening meal, wonderful menu; lovely view over the back garden, stream and moors. Helpful, friendly staff

Nothing really; our room was directly over the main dining room so we were worried about noise as there is no soundproofing . However, luckily the last diners had left by 10.15pm and everything was blissfully peaceful after that.

I’ve had the most wonderful stay. Lisa went over and above to make our trip from wales memorable. Everything was perfect, the food was divine, my cottage was spotless and omg the breakfast basket was to die for with fresh and local produce. Highly recommended to stay here and I will definitely be back. The staff were also lovely. Thank you all for making our stay and little treat amazing. My dad is poorly so these memories were priceless.

It’s simply gorgeous.
