I have wanted to stay with you for a long time and it was wonderful, the staff were so friendly and helpful. My room was perfect and thank you for responding to my request for a quiet room with a bath. I loved the whole hotel, but especially the library, being able to sit in there and relax, and having my breakfast in there felt very special. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I will certainly be recommending you to anyone I know who needs hotel accommodation in Oxford, and I look forward to staying with you again the next time I visit,

Check out was awkward as mistakes had been made on my bill. I asked to pay the full amount when I checked in, and thought I had, also there were 2 mini bar charges that I hadn't incurred. I know that Housekeeping have to do their job, and must be keen to get it all done, but I didn't like the fact that twice I had a knock on my door as I was getting ready to go out for the day.

This is an extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated ( catch the fantastic paintings) boutique hotel. Nothing is cheap but it’s all excellent, with such amenities as bottled water in the room, fresh milk in the fridge and home made biscuits on the tea tray. Nice toiletries too, in generous bottles. Bedding and towels are top quality. We didn’t have a formal meal but teatime sandwiches were spanking fresh and the breakfast menu was extensive. A eagle-eyed maitre d’ spotted my boiled eggs were overcooked, whisked them away and returned with properly runny ones. The location is perfect for any central Oxford engagement and pre-booked parking was included in the room price. There’s a pretty outside terrace for meals or drinks and the wine list bears exploring.

It’s a serious expense.

Ground floor, double doors opened in the room, which is always a bonus as too many hotels you often can't even open the window. Also like the fact there is a fridge with offerings in it, not that I drank any of the alcohol or ate the treats but nice to see instead of an empty fridge. Fresh milk was in the fridge for in room hot drinks and complimentary still and sparkling water. Staff were very nice, lovely welcome and shown to my room. I had a small double, which was sufficient for one, not sure I would have liked this had my husband joined me. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant with my off spring (dropping off at uni), breakfast was delivered to my room and I only wanted a bowl of porridge which was very good with chopped prunes on top and well priced. Excellent that parking is plentiful and included in the price, a space was reserved for me for our late arrival. My car is quite large and they gave me a good spot.

Everything in the room just fits. It is not super large in a city where real estate is at a premium, but it is big enough. And everything is there. The writing desk, the easy chairs with a lounge table, the walk-in shower and even a delightful private terrace and a very well stocked fridge. All of this in a charming period look (loved the shower tabs) that is delightfully contemporary under the skin (e.g. induction charging for your smartphone). Icing on the cake is a nice fragrance. Celebration afternoon tea was delicious ! Breakfast in the room was up to Rolls-Royce standards !!! As I was still using crutches, I got a nicely accessible groundfloor room. If you are prepared to pay the price, the Old Parsonage is as good as it gets, right in the middle of Oxford.

Quite a lot of parking spaces have trees and things drop from trees on the gleaming paintwork of your (classic) car. Dimmable lighting, however, should have been a tiny bit bit stronger for reading and in the bathroom (shaving).

Fantastic place, little walk to the city, The food, staff, room, parking was all a lovely experience.

We really took exception to a service charge being applied which we had removed, apparently its for the House maids and reception staff, I fear this is a new trend of greed, we stay in a lot of hotels and have never had a service charge applied to a room, we take exception in a restaurant to a service charge and prefer to tip as deemed necessary, which we always do but at least its within our control. We find it very odd that a price is agreed and there is an expectation to pay something quite different. Stop it now before it starts....

The location is central and within easy walking distance of the centre. Wonderful to be able to park at the hotel. The room was very small (I did book a small double. I will know next time as the bed was very small and not much space to move around - would be fine for one person). Breakfast - a good range is offered. The bar was cosy and plenty of room. We did not take dinner. Staff wonderful. Beautiful old building, interesting paintings and nice garden area.

The bedroom was so small (but I did book a small double) The bed was small too. Unfortunately a baby was in the room next to us so not the most peaceful night.

Breakfast was perfectly perfect!! Staff were super helpful and efficient. Location is excellent, 10 minutes walk into Centre. Deccor is tasteful and really good quality. Parking option is a huge bonus too. From arrival to departure, the staff responded fast and fabulously to all / any requests I made. I needed my bedding replaced with non-feather, non-allergic options and the staff were amazing. Within 15 minutes they were changing the bedding for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant. Will go back again without hesitation.

Maybe a USB port in the room for phone charger would be a useful standard. But in fairness, when I asked staff to provide one it arrived within minutes!

Loved the whole vibe of the hotel. It was close enough to the centre by foot but also slightly tucked away from the hustle and bustle which was appealing for me and my boyfriend. Staff were also super accommodating with our luggage and let us sit in the library after we checked out l, as we had some time to wait before our train. Not too many rooms either so it had a small, family feel to it and was very cosy with a lot of charm!

Nothing to dislike but a heads up that the church bells go off all day on Sunday. Not the hotel's fault of course!

What an amazing hotel with so much character. The staff were excellent and the location was ideal to access the city centre. The food was wonderful, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and peaceful. A great venue to unwind and take in Oxford.

Whilst i understand the level of service and running cost of the hotel has to be paid for, the price of the stay is high, and would impact how often i would stay. This said i would absolute stay again! My partner and I loved it!

The room was lovely, if small, with its own little patio. The staff was invariably pleasant and very helpful, and the public spaces of the hotel were very pleasant, particularly the front garden where we had breakfast (which was excellent, if expensive) and the library upstairs, which (when we found it) made up a bit for the smallness of the room. The bar was pleasant in the evenings.

There was a little too much furniture in the room to move around it comfortably, despite the very small bed. There were few outlets (two?) for charging phones and computers, and none in the bathroom that would allow the hairdryer to be used there. (This may be a safety precaution, but given the lack of space in the room itself, an annoying one.)
