Perfect place for a two night stay to relax and rejuvenate while taking a break from walking the Cotswold Way. The wonderful owners went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. The breakfast they served was delicious and filling. The bed was comfy and the room very quiet. Great location right on the Way with easy and quick access to various points in this small and wonderful village.

There are two well-behaved and sweet dogs on site. No problem whatsoever for us, we enjoyed their company. But for others, this may be something to be aware of (not sure if the small print noted this).

This B&B is run by a lovely couple who live in the house too. They are very hospitable and offered us good advice and service. For instance, they were able to sell us tickets to the Rococo Gardens of Painswick at a discount. Gourgeous, quaint room with bathroom. Comfy beds with very nice bedding, but might be a bit on the soft side to some heavier people. Owners made a lot of effort to make this place look and feel absolutely wonderful with even some fresh flowers as a posy in our room. Also, breakfast was served in a very pretty breakfast room. Everything is organic and fresh, prepared in the kitchen next to the breakfast room. We chose this room because we were walking the Cotswolds Way and it's right on track.

This accommodation is right on a sometimes busy road into and out of town. Most of the time this does not matter and it gives wonderful views down the street where lots of houses have flower pots in front of them. But part of the evening, it's very busy with traffic as people are going home from an evening in a local pub in town.

St Anne’s is a beautiful house and Iris and Greg were very welcoming and accommodating. The cooked breakfast was fabulous. The rooms were very quiet.

Everything was fine for us but people with mobility issues might have trouble getting upstairs and using some of the bathroom facilities, but this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone booking a room in a property of this age.

We absolutely loved our stay at St. Annes during our Cotswolds Way walk! Greg and Iris were outstanding hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. Their two dogs were very well trained and proved to be adorable greeters! The bed was very comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. Don't miss a visit to the Royal Oak for dinner.

Nothing!

Iris and her husband were so nice. We felt so comfortable and well cared for after a long days walk on the Cotswold Way. Right on the CW. The walk through the village was so timeless. Really great breakfast. This was my favorite lodging thus far. Well done St Anne’s.

I liked it all.

Greg and Iris were the best hosts ever. We felt very welcomed and they shared lots of recommendations about Painswick and its surroundings. Also, we had the best English Breakfast in all our journey, with locally sourced products and the company from other guests.

Everything was perfect.

The facilities were fine. It was close to the Rococo Garden and near Slad, the Laurie Lee trail. Painswick is a beautiful village with an interesting Church. It is near Stroud Station by taxi.

There is a desperate need for public transport for people like us who have no car. The footpaths need to be better maintained and signed. This is important if you want to attract more people. The B & B are green but this should be encouraged by the local council.

Lovely, quiet room in a character building located on the Cotswold Way. The host was welcoming and breakfast was excellent…best I’ve had in the UK yet! Also, the welcome cup of tea the host provided upon my tired arrival was especially appreciated. : ) An excellent place to stay in the beautiful town of Painswick. Thank you!
